Teasing the Strawberry-Flavored Baby Alpha (ABO, GL) - Chapter 35
Chapter 35
“Little Lu Sister?” Shen Tian still hadn’t quite grasped what had just happened when Little Lu Sister suddenly kissed her.
Lu Ningwan reached out and poked Shen Tian’s cheek, but her fingertip didn’t press down; instead, she gently rubbed it against Shen Tian’s cheek and said matter-of-factly, “It’s a good morning kiss. Doesn’t Tiantian like it?”
Shen Tian rubbed her two hands, which hung in front of her, and looked at Lu Ningwan with red ears, replying in a somewhat embarrassed whisper, “I like it.”
Lu Ningwan looked at her own soft and sweet little puppy with flushed ears and shy demeanor; her heart nearly melted. She reached out to ruffle Shen Tian’s hair, then hugged her affectionately and nuzzled against her, acting spoiled as she said, “Great. If Tiantian likes it, then I’ll give you one every day from now on, okay?”
Lu Ningwan’s nuzzling made Shen Tian’s heart beat a little faster, but she also thoroughly enjoyed Little Lu Sister acting this way toward her. The sweet, swelling feeling in her heart left her mind somewhat dazed, and without thinking, she replied, “Okay. I like it when Little Lu Sister does this.”
Lu Ningwan hooked her arms around Shen Tian’s neck and buried her face in the crook of Shen Tian’s neck. “Such a good girl.”
As Lu Ningwan spoke, her lips brushed lightly against the skin of Shen Tian’s neck, causing Shen Tian’s breathing to quicken a bit. Shen Tian wasn’t sure if Little Lu Sister had accidentally brushed against her or if it had been intentional. With some uncertainty, she said, “Little Lu Sister?”
Lu Ningwan lifted her head with a perfectly calm expression, her eyes clear as she replied, “What’s wrong, Tiantian?”
Shen Tian looked at Lu Ningwan and thought that sure enough, she had overthought it; it must have been an accidental brush from Little Lu Sister, who hadn’t even noticed.
“It’s nothing, hehe.” Shen Tian gave Lu Ningwan a sweet smile, then rubbed her cheek against the top of Lu Ningwan’s head. She realized she really loved falling asleep while holding Little Lu Sister like this.
Lu Ningwan buried herself in Shen Tian’s arms; where was the clarity in her eyes from moments ago? If she could, she would have devoured her little puppy long ago. Her little puppy was so sweet, so obedient, so compliant, and so adorably silly; she had to keep a close eye on her.
As for what had just happened, it had definitely been an accidental brush. Anyway, since Tiantian thought it was an accident, then it must have been her own carelessness. After all, it was perfectly normal for things to brush against each other when hugging a sister, Lu Ningwan thought matter-of-factly.
Lu Ningwan had taken leave due to her differentiation, but Shen Tian still had to go to school. Holding Lu Ningwan in her arms, who was so fragrant and soft, Shen Tian didn’t want to get out of bed at all. But if she didn’t get up, Mommy and Mother would come to wake her soon, and if they found out she was clinging to Little Lu Sister again, they would surely tease her for being so clingy.
Shen Tian looked at Lu Ningwan in her arms with reluctance. “Little Lu Sister, I have to get up and go to school. If I don’t, I’ll be late in a bit.”
Shen Tian said this, but she showed no intention of letting go of Lu Ningwan or getting out of bed.
Lu Ningwan tilted her head up to look at her little puppy, who was so reluctant to let her go. She reached out to poke the tip of the little puppy’s nose and laughed, arguing reasonably with the little puppy who was turning the tables on her, “You’re holding me so tightly, and now you’re blaming me for not letting you get up?”
Shen Tian’s face flushed red at the words, and she twisted and turned in denial. “No, I just can’t bear to part with Little Lu Sister. I won’t see you for such a long time today~”
Lu Ningwan looked at her little puppy in front of her with satisfaction, the one who couldn’t bear to let her go. She crooked a finger at Shen Tian. The two were already close, and when Shen Tian leaned in, they were even closer, close enough to feel each other’s warm breath. Looking at the obedient Shen Tian, Lu Ningwan pressed her lips to Shen Tian’s cheek and smiled as she instructed, “This is your kiss for going to school. Be good and listen in class. Don’t think about me during lessons, got it?”
Shen Tian’s eyes lit up from the kiss, though she felt a bit shy too. Was she really too clingy? She was so old now and still loved Little Lu Sister’s kisses.
“Okay, I’ll definitely listen well in class.” The thoroughly satisfied Shen Tian immediately promised.
Lu Ningwan seemed to think of something and reached out to poke Shen Tian’s nose again before continuing, “But aside from class time, Tiantian has to think about me during all your other moments. Also, Mommy and Mother told you no early romance, so hand over any love letters other people write to you, and let me handle them, okay?”
Shen Tian nodded obediently and smiled as she said, “Don’t worry, Little Lu Sister. I’ll definitely be good and won’t do any early romance.” After all, early romance or whatever held no appeal for her compared to custard buns. She might as well get up and eat two more custard buns before heading to school.
“Good, go on then, or you’ll really be late.” Lu Ningwan teased her like a little cat, gently scratching under Shen Tian’s chin.
Only then did Shen Tian go downstairs. After devouring five custard buns and a glass of milk with gusto, she headed off to school happily. The reason for her good mood could all be attributed to the good morning kiss from Lu Ningwan.
After Shen Tian left, Lu Ningwan buried her entire self under the covers. What was she to do? She was about to lose control. Her Tiantian was just too lovable.
Shen Tian had no idea about Lu Ningwan’s inner turmoil and went off to school in high spirits.
Li Mengmeng saw that Shen Tian had come to class alone today and teased, “Tiantian, where’s your Lu Ningwan? How come she didn’t come with you? Can’t you take even one step without her?”
“Little Lu Sister is differentiating, and my mommy said she should rest at home for two days until her energy recovers before coming back to school.” Shen Tian smiled and said.
“Oh? You don’t miss her?” Li Mengmeng deliberately bumped Shen Tian’s arm as she asked.
Shen Tian and Lu Ningwan had grown up with her, so she had watched the two of them being inseparable from childhood to now. If someone claimed it was just sisterly affection, she wouldn’t believe it even if it killed her. Only the clueless classmates in their class still thought the two were really sisters.
Shen Tian recalled the school kiss from that morning and said shyly, “Little Lu Sister said I have to focus on class and can’t think about her during lessons, but I can at other times.”
Li Mengmeng rubbed the goosebumps on her arms. “Hiss, Shen Tian, please stop. Huang Shuai and I don’t want to know all those details about you two.”
Shen Tian wasn’t upset and chuckled as she said, “You asked first, and now you’re blaming me for answering. Mengmeng, you’re so funny.”
“Hehe, I was wrong. I won’t humiliate myself like that again.” Li Mengmeng shook her head and said.
During break time, the class literature representative came to find Shen Tian, and Li Mengmeng eyed her with some curiosity.
The literature representative was named Feng Xirui. She had differentiated into an Omega in her second year of high school. She usually got along well with everyone in the class and, like Shen Tian, had pretty good popularity. They had always just been ordinary classmates before, so Li Mengmeng wondered why Feng Xirui had come to find Shen Tian today.
Seeing that Shen Tian’s front desk was absent, Feng Xirui simply leaned over sideways to look at her. “Shen Tian, I didn’t quite get that math problem the teacher just explained. Could you go over it with me again?”
Shen Tian usually did well in class, but she wasn’t top of the class. Her exam scores were typically around fifth or sixth in the class, and there were plenty of people with better math scores than hers. She found it a bit odd that Feng Xirui was asking her.
But it was just one problem, so Shen Tian didn’t mind. She picked up her pen and started explaining it to Feng Xirui.
Feng Xirui watched Shen Tian with bright eyes. Li Mengmeng, sitting at the desk diagonally behind Shen Tian, kept feeling like this literature representative had ulterior motives toward her childhood friend. She said she wanted Shen Tian to explain the problem, but why wasn’t she even looking at it? For ages, all Li Mengmeng saw was Feng Xirui staring at Shen Tian, while her oblivious childhood friend was earnestly teaching her.
After Shen Tian had written for a while on the paper and looked up at Feng Xirui, she saw that Feng Xirui wasn’t looking at the problem but was staring straight at her instead. Shen Tian said somewhat unhappily, “Feng, I just explained it to you seriously, but you didn’t listen at all.” After all, she and Feng Xirui were just ordinary classmates. Feng Xirui had come to her for help with a problem, and Shen Tian had taught her properly, so of course she was unhappy that Feng Xirui hadn’t paid attention.
“Ah, sorry about that, Shen Tian. I zoned out a bit just now, but you’ve already cleared up the part I didn’t get. I’ll bring you some cookies I baked myself tomorrow as thanks for explaining it to me.” Feng Xirui smiled and said.
Shen Tian waved her hand. “No need, it’s just a small thing.” Shen Tian didn’t think anything more of the matter; instead, she was preoccupied with stuffing all the love letters she’d received that day into her backpack after school.
Li Mengmeng looked at the stack of love letters and eyed Shen Tian in surprise. “Tiantian, didn’t you say you don’t look at these things?”
“Yeah, Little Lu Sister told me to hand them over to her, so I’m taking them all back to Little Lu Sister.” Shen Tian smiled and said. It was just that she’d received an unusually large number today, and Shen Tian wasn’t sure if it was because Little Lu Sister wasn’t around.
Li Mengmeng smiled and said, “Alright, you’re pretty obedient.” She wondered what expression Lu Ningwan would make upon learning that her childhood friend had been explaining problems to another girl; Li Mengmeng was quite curious about that.
That evening when she got home, Shen Tian changed her clothes and ran straight to Lu Ningwan’s room door. She knocked symbolically twice before going in. Lu Ningwan was reading a book at the moment; her energy had mostly recovered, and she didn’t want to lie in bed all day.
Seeing Lu Ningwan put Shen Tian in a great mood right away. She scooted over to Lu Ningwan’s side and hugged her from behind, acting spoiled as she said, “Little Lu Sister, I missed you~”
Lu Ningwan gently patted the two little paws Shen Tian had wrapped around her. “It’s only been a little while since we last saw each other, and you already missed me?”
“Mm-hmm.” Shen Tian said matter-of-factly.
“Alright, then I missed Tiantian too.” Lu Ningwan leaned back a bit, simply resting in Shen Tian’s arms. “By the way, did you get any letters today?”
“Mm-hmm, and it seems like there were more today than before. I don’t know why.” As Shen Tian spoke, she let go of Lu Ningwan and rummaged through her backpack for the letters, handing them to her.
Lu Ningwan took one look and saw there were over a dozen? She immediately felt upset. She’d only been away for one day, and already so many people were eyeing her little puppy. Lu Ningwan truly felt uneasy.
She glanced at Shen Tian and said, “These are all things that aren’t good for your studies or growth, so I’ll confiscate them all, okay?”
“Mm-hmm, I don’t like reading those anyway. Little Lu Sister, you handle them for me.” Shen Tian smiled and said, then moved to hug Lu Ningwan again.
But Lu Ningwan stood up and placed the letters on her bedside table. Turning back to Shen Tian, she said, “Tiantian, go take a shower first. We’ll head down together to eat in a bit; dinner should be ready in about half an hour.”
“Okay.” Not getting to hug Lu Ningwan left Shen Tian feeling a slight pang of disappointment, but she still obediently returned to her own room to shower.
Lu Ningwan looked at the letters on her bedside table, her expression darkening. Her Tiantian hadn’t even differentiated yet, and already so many people were after her. What would happen once she did?
A sour, swelling feeling filled Lu Ningwan’s heart, a sensation she’d never experienced before, but one that had grown stronger lately. She wanted so badly to tell Shen Tian directly that she liked her, that Tiantian wasn’t allowed to like anyone else. But she didn’t want to influence Shen Tian, and doing so would also feel like letting down Mommy and Mother.
She forcibly suppressed the sourness in her heart and pushed down the churning emotions in her chest, telling herself to wait just a little longer—at least until after the college entrance exams.
Lu Ningwan reluctantly looked at the dozen or so love letters, bit her lip, and randomly tore open one to unfold it.
[Dearest Shen Tian, from the first moment I saw you, I couldn’t forget you. You shine like a little sun, brightening everyone’s gloom. This is the first time I’ve mustered the courage to tell you—I like you…]
“So cheesy. Tiantian wouldn’t like someone like you.” Lu Ningwan tossed the letter aside and grumbled.
[Shen Tian, the moment I laid eyes on you, I knew you were the Omega fated for me…]
“Daydream on. As if. Even if she differentiates into an Omega, she’s mine.” Lu Ningwan angrily crumpled the letter into a ball and threw it away.
To avoid getting too jealous, Lu Ningwan decided not to read any more, lest she ruin her evening mood. At the same time, she felt fortunate that her Tiantian was so obedient. If Tiantian saw something this cheesy and poorly written, it would just hurt her eyes.
Ten minutes later, Shen Tian finished her shower and eagerly ran back to find Lu Ningwan. Lu Ningwan was very pleased with this; the irritation from reading the letters had eased a bit.
Seeing Lu Ningwan staring at her, Shen Tian asked in puzzlement, “Little Lu Sister?”
Lu Ningwan had already pulled her into a hug, her arms familiarly wrapping around Shen Tian’s neck as she buried her face in the crook of Shen Tian’s shoulder and neck. She loved being held in Shen Tian’s arms like this.
Seeing Lu Ningwan hugging her, Shen Tian’s lips curved up involuntarily. She had wanted to hug Little Lu Sister just like this when she got back.
“Don’t move. Just let me hug you for a while, okay?”
The shower gel Shen Tian had used was milk-scented, and with Lu Ningwan buried in her neck, she was enveloped by the sweet, milky fragrance from Shen Tian’s body. Her little puppy was always so utterly lovable.
