Shen Tian had earned the privilege of being a girlfriend, and this time, Lu Ningwan didn’t kick her out of the room. Just like she had dreamed so many times before, Shen Tian held Lu Ningwan in her arms. Her Little Lu Sister was soft and fragrant—so comfortable to hold.

Maybe because they had just been kissing, both of them were wearing light summer nightgowns. Lu Ningwan noticed the change in her little puppy and, with a chuckle, placed her hand over Shen Tian’s heart, feeling it pound rapidly. Combined with her little puppy’s gaze, Lu Ningwan patted the top of Shen Tian’s head and teased, “Where’s Tiantian looking, huh?”

Shen Tian got shy and buried her face in Lu Ningwan’s shoulder. Lu Ningwan’s spaghetti strap nightgown left large patches of skin exposed, and Shen Tian’s nuzzling sent a shiver through her.

Her little puppy nestled in her arms and protested, “Nowhere. Little Lu Sister saw it wrong.”

Lu Ningwan kissed Shen Tian’s already bright red ear, pinching it gently as she played with it. “Tiantian’s trying to turn the tables on me now? Hmm? Is Tiantian thinking about something naughty?”

“No way, I just like Little Lu Sister.” Afraid Lu Ningwan would keep pressing, Shen Tian lifted her face and kissed Lu Ningwan’s lips. Up until now, it had always been her Little Lu Sister taking the lead. She wanted to try being the one to initiate this time. Lu Ningwan kissed Shen Tian again, smiling. “I’m right here.”

“I know. I just wanted to call you, Little Lu Sister,” Shen Tian said, acting coy in Lu Ningwan’s arms.

“Alright, my Tiantian can call me however she wants. Come on, it’s almost one. Let’s sleep,” Lu Ningwan said, kissing Shen Tian’s forehead.

“Okay,” Shen Tian agreed. But once Lu Ningwan turned off the room’s lights, her little puppy started getting restless again.

One moment, she was hugging Lu Ningwan and acting cute. The next, she was kissing Lu Ningwan’s lips, making Lu Ningwan’s heart itch. She wanted nothing more than to pin her little puppy down right then and there, but she felt it might be too soon after just confirming their relationship. Holding back the growing fire in her heart, she hugged her little troublemaker tightly to keep her still.

Her little puppy even kissed the corner of Lu Ningwan’s lips with a pitiful tone. “Little Lu Sister, you’re holding me so tight I can’t even move.”

Lu Ningwan lightly patted her little puppy’s back. Her little puppy was quite good at turning the tables, wasn’t she?

“Don’t you know why I’m holding you so tight, Tiantian? Be good and stop squirming, or you won’t be able to sleep,” Lu Ningwan coaxed.

Shen Tian nuzzled against Lu Ningwan. “Little Lu Sister, I just can’t sleep. My heart feels like it’s bursting with fireworks right now. It’s all itchy, and I can’t sleep. All I can think about is you.”

Lu Ningwan hadn’t expected her little puppy to be so mushy, spilling all her feelings like that. But wasn’t she the same? Her heart was set ablaze by her little puppy’s teasing.

“Alright, I know Tiantian’s thinking of me. I’m always thinking of Tiantian too. But it’s late, and I’m not going anywhere. When you open your eyes tomorrow morning, won’t you see me again?” Lu Ningwan said to her clingy little puppy with a smile.

“Fine then, Little Lu Sister. But you have to give me kisses tomorrow too,” Shen Tian bargained.

“Of course. I’m your girlfriend now. Don’t you get as many kisses as you want? Don’t worry, just sleep,” Lu Ningwan said.

She coaxed her little puppy a bit more until she reluctantly agreed, “Okay then.”

Lu Ningwan held Shen Tian and closed her eyes. Her heart felt like it was spilling over with syrup, sweet everywhere. Her little puppy’s lips were soft and sweet, just like her name. She had finally claimed her little puppy fair and square. She didn’t want to be just a sister. Though, if her little puppy called her “sister” in bed later, that could be pretty fun.

The two slept late and didn’t get up until past nine the next morning.

Shen Xian and Lin Qinghan had already eaten breakfast, gone for a walk, and come back, but they hadn’t seen Shen Tian or Lu Ningwan. It was their little one’s birthday, so they had specially cleared their company schedules to spend time with her. After all, an eighteenth birthday was a big deal, and Shen Xian and Lin Qinghan took it seriously. But all morning, they hadn’t seen either their little one or Ningwan. Only Lin Yinan had dutifully eaten breakfast and gone back to her room to do homework.

Shen Xian and Lin Qinghan decided to go upstairs, one to wake Shen Tian and the other to wake Lu Ningwan.

Shen Xian knocked on her little one’s door and pushed it open, only to find no one there. The bed didn’t even look slept in. Puzzled, she glanced around and saw Lin Qinghan standing frozen at Ningwan’s door.

Shen Xian went over to look and saw the two little ones sleeping in each other’s arms. Wasn’t this a bit off?

The sound of the door woke Lu Ningwan. She opened her eyes groggily and saw Mommy and Mom staring at her and Shen Tian in her arms with surprise.

Lu Ningwan snapped awake. She and Tiantian really hadn’t done anything. Was there still time to explain?

Shen Tian was stirred awake by Lu Ningwan’s movement. Following her gaze, she saw her Mommy and Mom looking at her and Lu Ningwan. She, too, was instantly wide awake.

Even Shen Xian, who had seen her share of storms, was momentarily choked up. She coughed tactically a few times before saying, “Alright, you two get dressed first, then come find me and your mom in the study later.”

She tugged Lin Qinghan’s wrist to give the two little ones some time to tidy up.

Shen Tian sat up anxiously. “Little Lu Sister, do you think Mommy and Mom will get mad and separate us?” Her eyes were almost red.

Lu Ningwan comforted her. “Don’t worry. Mommy and Mom aren’t like that. We only kissed—nothing else.”

Shen Tian’s face slowly flushed red. What else did Little Lu Sister want to do?

Shen Xian and Lin Qinghan went to the study and immediately started discussing.

“Qinghan, you don’t think the two little ones would’ve… It’s a bit early, isn’t it?” Shen Xian said, puzzled. But her Ningwan’s nightgown was a bit revealing.

Lin Qinghan sat on the sofa and shook her head. “I don’t know. But at least they’re both adults now. Let’s talk to them properly later.”

The two washed up, changed clothes, and obediently went to the study to find Shen Xian and Lin Qinghan.

Lu Ningwan knocked on the study door, and she and Shen Tian stepped in one after the other. She said she wasn’t nervous, but she still didn’t know where to put her hands.

The atmosphere was initially serious, but Shen Xian burst out laughing at how nervous the two little ones looked. “Come on, why are you two so tense? Your mom and I aren’t going to eat you.”

Seeing Shen Xian laugh, the two little ones relaxed a little.

Lu Ningwan glanced at Shen Tian, took a deep breath, and spoke first. “Mommy, Mom, we just slept together—nothing else. But I also want to tell you that I’ve always liked Tiantian. We’re together now.”

Shen Tian nodded along. “Yeah, yeah, we just kissed. Nothing else, really. Mommy, Mom, please don’t separate me and Little Lu Sister.”

Shen Xian looked at her little one with amusement. “Your mom and I aren’t tyrants. Why do you make us sound like we’re bullying you? We just want to know when you two got together.”

Shen Tian blushed at Mommy’s question. “Last night, Mommy. I want Little Lu Sister to be my girlfriend. I don’t want anyone else.”

“I didn’t say you had to want anyone else,” Shen Xian said with a sigh.

Lin Qinghan looked at the two little ones and asked, “Have you slept together before?”

The two little ones nodded honestly. Shen Tian spoke up. “Before we got together, I just wanted to hang out with Little Lu Sister. So I’d go to her room at night.”

“Alright, you’re both adults now. It’s normal to have a girlfriend. Your mommy and I won’t hold you back. We were also at fault this time—we won’t barge in next time,” Lin Qinghan said with a smile. Since they couldn’t bear to part with either little one, it was perfect that they were together now. No need to worry about either being tricked by someone else.

Hearing her mom say this, Shen Tian’s eyes lit up. “Thank you, Mom! I knew you and Mommy were the best!”

“You’ve always had a sweet mouth since you were little. No wonder you managed to win over your Little Lu Sister, you little trickster,” Lin Qinghan said, looking at her daughter with a smile.

“Hehe, thanks for the compliment, Mom,” Shen Tian said, happily accepting it all.

Lu Ningwan pinched the hem of her clothes, her ears red as she said, “Mommy, Mom, what about my custody? Me and Tiantian…”

Lu Ningwan didn’t say more, but Shen Xian understood her meaning. “Custody’s easy to handle. Ningwan’s eighteen now and doesn’t need a guardian anymore. I’ll have someone arrange to terminate the custody. Then you two can be together freely. No need to change the household registration, though—Ningwan’s already part of our family.”

Hearing that the custody issue could be resolved easily, Lu Ningwan smiled at Shen Xian and Lin Qinghan. “Thank you, Mommy, Mom. Tiantian and I will be good together.”

Shen Tian nodded, holding Lu Ningwan’s hand. “Yup, yup, I’ll take good care of Little Lu Sister.”

Shen Xian shook her head with a smile. Her little one was so soft—taking care of Ningwan? It looked more like Ningwan was taking care of her.

Lin Qinghan walked over and ruffled Shen Tian’s head. “You, taking care of your Little Lu Sister? Why does it seem like your Little Lu Sister takes care of you more?”

Shen Tian tugged at Lin Qinghan sheepishly. “Mom, give me some face in front of Little Lu Sister.”

Lin Qinghan’s shoulders shook with laughter. “You two grew up together. Does Ningwan not know you already?”

Shen Tian thought about it and nodded. “That’s true.”

Her words sent the other three in the room into peals of laughter.

Lin Yinan finished some homework and came out, noticing how quiet the house was except for the laughter coming from Mommy and Mom’s study. She went over, knocked on the door, and asked, “What are you all laughing about?”

Lin Qinghan waved her little one in, smiling. “Tiantian and Ningwan are together now. When’s our Yinan going to grow up? Bring someone you like home for Mommy and Mom to meet.”

Lin Yinan’s little face turned red. “Mom, I’m not even an adult yet. I don’t want a girlfriend or boyfriend. You adults are so improper,” she said, earnestly scolding the four adults in the room.

Shen Xian laughed. “You know, when little Boss Lin starts lecturing, it really sounds convincing. Speaking of the company, little Boss Shen and little Boss Lu, you’re done with high school and have no homework for the summer. We’ll let you relax for a few more days, but next week, you’re coming to the company with me and your mom to work. Gotta start training you to be bosses early.”

Lin Qinghan nodded, holding back a laugh.

Shen Tian and Lu Ningwan stared at each other wide-eyed. So their summer break was ruined? Whine!
