Seeing Lu Ningwan laugh at her, the little puppy went over and clung to her, acting coy. “Little Sister Lu, why are you laughing? Don’t you believe me? I’m totally capable, you know.”

Lu Ningwan looked at the little puppy, who was both adorable and full of confident declarations, and laughed even harder.

Lu Ningwan playfully pinched the little puppy’s cheek, chuckling. “What’s that? If I don’t let my little puppy get frisky, you’ll suffer?”

“Yeah, I keep getting nosebleeds,” the little puppy complained about her plight.

“Alright, enough. It’s past nine already, so hurry downstairs to eat,” Lu Ningwan said, giving the little puppy a quick kiss on the corner of her lips to urge her along.

The little puppy nuzzled against Lu Ningwan again, not moving, muttering under her breath, “My girlfriend tastes better than custard buns~”

Lu Ningwan poked the little puppy’s dimple, teasing, “Now you know your girlfriend tastes good? Didn’t you used to prefer custard buns?”

“I’ve grown up now, haven’t I? Of course, I love my girlfriend the most,” the little puppy replied.

Lu Ningwan looked at the little puppy acting coy with her, chuckling softly. “All those twisted excuses. I’m done playing with my little puppy. I’m going downstairs to eat.”

Seeing Lu Ningwan about to leave, the little puppy got anxious. “Little Sister Lu, wait for me! I’ll wash up real quick.”

“Alright, I’ll wait. No rush, take your time.” After all, it was her little puppy—she had to spoil her.

Lu Ningwan lazily lay on Shen Tian’s bed, the faint scent of strawberries lingering on the sheets. It was the little puppy’s unique fragrance, and honestly, the more she smelled it, the more addictive it became.

When Shen Tian came out of the bathroom, Lu Ningwan was already half-asleep, feeling drowsy.

Shen Tian gently took a few of Lu Ningwan’s fingers in her hand, rubbing them softly while coaxing, “Little Sister Lu, let’s go eat first. We can come back and sleep after.”

Lu Ningwan blinked her eyes open. “Alright, let’s head downstairs. Oh, and tell Wang Auntie we won’t need lunch today.”

Hearing they wouldn’t need lunch, Shen Tian perked up. If they didn’t have to eat lunch, she could stay in the room with her Little Sister Lu.

While eating breakfast, Lu Ningwan noticed the little puppy’s smile never faded. She shook her head, amused.

After they finished eating and headed upstairs, Shen Tian tugged at Lu Ningwan, acting coy. “Little Sister Lu, whose room are we going to?”

Lu Ningwan gave the little puppy a quick kiss on the lips, chuckling softly. “Your room. Didn’t you forget to make your bed earlier? Perfect, we can keep napping.”

The little puppy’s eyes darted around before she said, “That works too.”

Once inside, Lu Ningwan was genuinely sleepy. Without her little puppy to cuddle last night, she hadn’t slept well. She slipped into the covers, ready to crash.

Shen Tian lay down and gently shook Lu Ningwan’s wrist, not missing the chance to sneak a kiss on her earlobe. Leaning close to Lu Ningwan’s ear, she whispered, “Little Sister Lu, you’re just going to sleep like that?”

Lu Ningwan cracked her eyes open, glancing at the little puppy beside her with a smile. “Yeah, what else? You only know how to start fires everywhere but never put them out. Tell you what, my little puppy needs to learn properly before she can go around starting fires.”

Shen Tian nuzzled against Lu Ningwan again. “Little Sister Lu, by the time you wake up, I’ll definitely have learned. Let me try, okay?”

Seeing the little puppy’s eager expression, Lu Ningwan smiled and nodded. “Alright, once you’ve learned, I’ll let you try.”

Lu Ningwan chuckled and pinched the little puppy’s ear, laughing. “You’re that impatient?”

The little puppy nodded shyly, pursing her lips. “Little Sister Lu, I’ve learned everything, really. I’m not lying.”

With that, the little puppy reached out to hug Lu Ningwan. Lu Ningwan relaxed into her arms, chuckling softly. “Alright, let’s see if my little puppy really learned. Go lock the door.”

At the command, the little puppy’s eyes lit up. She dashed over to lock the door, then returned to the bed, staring at Lu Ningwan with a dazed expression.

Lu Ningwan couldn’t help but laugh, her shoulders shaking with amusement. Did her little puppy really not even know the first step?

Trying to stifle her laughter, Lu Ningwan smiled at the little puppy. “Why’s Tiantian just sitting there? Didn’t you say you learned everything?”

The little puppy looked at Lu Ningwan, who was laughing uncontrollably, and felt a bit wronged. Did her Little Sister Lu think she couldn’t do it?

When Lu Ningwan woke again, the room was still thick with the mingled scents of strawberries and frost. Her body felt sore and exhausted from the little puppy’s antics.
