- Chapter 1 - Encounter
After a few drinks, Ning Yu, who had little tolerance for alcohol, saw everything in double vision. The distant dance floor was a cacophony of noise and excitement, the colorful lights overhead flickering incessantly to the rhythm of the music, while the rock band’s passionate performance stirred up even more waves of joy.
Propping her chin on her hand, she watched as the screams around her faded like receding tides, allowing herself to be abruptly swallowed by loneliness and desolation.
The strong scent of whiskey permeated the air as the amber liquid, glowing softly, was poured into her glass. The ice cubes clinked and melted, only to be downed in one go by Ning Yu.
At this rate, getting drunk was inevitable—and that was exactly what she wanted.
Because Ning Yu had just had her heart broken.
He Ru, the female superior she had secretly loved for three years, had cheerfully handed out wedding invitations to everyone in the office today, inviting them to her engagement party next month.
The groom was her college boyfriend—her first love, her white moonlight. After seven years apart, they had reunited at a cocktail party, reigniting old flames and mending their broken relationship.
In just two months, they had gone from rekindling their romance to registering their marriage and meeting each other’s families.
Compared to Ning Yu, who had pined silently for three years without ever confessing, their speed was like a rocket launch.
The earnest advice of her friends echoed in her ears: “He Ru isn’t the same kind of person as us. Three years of unrequited love is long enough—you should’ve given up long ago.”
At the thought of her sorrow, Ning Yu sniffled, her slender, pale fingers tracing the intricate grain of the wooden table. When you’ve loved someone for so long, even the act of loving becomes a habit, etched into your life, woven into your breath. How could such a deeply ingrained habit be changed so easily?
“You’ve been single all these years in our circle. Pull your gaze away from her and look at others—maybe you’ll find another option.”
To be fair, Ning Yu was blessed with striking beauty, a fact proven by the endless string of admirers she had attracted since childhood.
Now, with her cheeks slightly flushed, the dim orange glow of a small pendant light above the bar cast a soft radiance over her delicate features. Her long, raven-black lashes cast faint shadows, veiling her clear, ink-dark eyes. Her small, rounded nose and lips, glistening faintly from the alcohol, parted occasionally as her pink tongue flicked out unconsciously, exuding a charm that was alluring without being coy.
Beneath her silky hair, her face—nothing short of a masterpiece by the Creator—had drawn the attention of many like-minded individuals the moment she stepped into the bar.
Yet she seemed utterly oblivious, focused solely on her drink, not once leaving her seat at the bar.
Ning Yu tapped the rim of her glass with jade-like fingers, her hazy eyes scanning the surroundings as she struggled to think with what little rationality she had left.
If the heavens could mercifully bestow upon her a beautiful older sister tonight, she wouldn’t care if it left her penniless.
Three rounds in, Ning Yu’s vision began to blur. The swaying figures and dazzling lights twisted into indistinct shapes.
Finally, she couldn’t hold on any longer. With a dull thud, her head hit the table.
Her consciousness floated away, weightless, before gently settling back down. Ning Yu felt as though she were dreaming.
A hotel corridor. A plush white bed. And a woman, buried in the sheets, deep in slumber.
The scent of snow cedar grew thicker in the air, overwhelming, intoxicating—cool yet fragrant, impossible to resist. A damp, feverish longing welled up in her eyes.
Ning Yu felt her entire body burning up, as if soaking in a hot spring during midsummer—the heat radiating from within. She swallowed hard, her body moving almost uncontrollably toward the bed.
The woman on the bed wore a black lace dress that exposed her back, revealing vast stretches of snow-white, luminous skin. A black silk bow was tied around her neck, while the fitted waist accentuated her alluring curves. Her long, swan-like neck, pale and flawless, resembled a sculpted masterpiece.
Her cascading black hair spilled over the pristine white pillow, revealing only a glimpse of her profile—yet it carried an intoxicating allure, as if she were a sacrificial offering.
She slept restlessly, soft murmurs escaping her petal-soft lips. Beads of cold sweat dotted her forehead as she furrowed her brows in discomfort.
The heat of her cycle came in overwhelming waves. Pheromones seeped from the omega’s fragile glands, only to be seized by another scent—one that unmistakably belonged to an alpha.
Under the instinctive suppression, her slender, pale legs trembled and curled inward. Her cool, porcelain skin flushed crimson, glistening sweat trailing down her neck before disappearing into the seductive dip of her waist.
Her breathing grew ragged, and a sultry, pleading moan reached Ning Yu’s ears.
“…It hurts… Help me.”
In that instant, something in Ning Yu’s mind—something called reason—snapped.
Guided by primal temptation, her palms met skin as smooth as polished jade. The woman curled into her embrace like a kitten, and the overwhelming urge to claim her surged to the forefront.
But the next second, a jarring ringtone shattered the moment, barely pulling Ning Yu back from the brink of bestial desire. She pushed the woman away, holding her breath.
Damn it, could aphrodisiacs really spread through the air?
Struggling to stand, she stepped on the thin blanket pooled on the floor—then lost her balance and tumbled forward.
“Thud!”
Once again, Ning Yu’s head made a spectacular collision with the bed frame, stars exploding behind her eyes.
As if triggered by the impact, fragmented and unfamiliar memories flooded her mind. It felt like watching a movie—except the protagonist was the original owner of this body.
She had transmigrated into a novel! And of all people, she’d ended up as the villainess who shared her name.
The novel, titled Heartbeat 100%, revolved around a dating show called First Heartbeat. One of the female leads, Ming Jue, joined the show for her long-time crush, Mu Qiu Yan, but unexpectedly fell for another contestant, Wen Mian Mian.
The love triangle—torn between a white moonlight and a crimson mark—kept readers on edge, wondering who Ming Jue would ultimately choose.
Ning Yu had been hooked, only to be blindsided by the existence of her namesake: the story’s infamous “sh1t-stirrer” of a villainess.
The original owner was a scummy, promiscuous player—a master at stringing along multiple omegas and toying with their emotions. On the show, she shamelessly harassed Mu Qiu Yan right in front of the female lead, using underhanded tactics that earned her the audience’s full wrath. She was swiftly denounced online and kicked off the program.
But this didn’t stop her from continuing her wicked ways. In her obsession to obtain Mu Qiuyan, she began 24-hour perverted stalking, attempting to force compliance through drugging and forced marking—only to have her glands ripped out by the enraged female lead and be thrown into an asylum.
The villainess had committed every imaginable evil, so this outcome was both satisfying and universally applauded.
Ning Yu had found it cathartic while reading, but now she was trapped in this very body.
Well… that wasn’t good at all.
The scent of Omega pheromones continued spilling uncontrollably. Following the memories, Ning Yu looked despairingly at the woman’s exquisitely cold yet stunning face before helplessly covering her own.
Drugging Mu Qiuyan for forced marking? Original owner, were you trying to die?!
The novel never explained how the villainess fell for Mu Qiuyan, but from the dating show’s first episode, she’d already been orbiting the woman constantly. Was it because of tonight?
If anything actually happened with Mu Qiuyan now, her future would be rotting away in an asylum.
Mu Qiuyan pressed a hand against the swelling lump on her forehead, hissing in pain as she fought to stay conscious through the haze of desire. She crawled up, reaching for the bedside landline to call room service.
“How may we assist you?”
Ning Yu lowered her voice, “Could you send over a suppressant? I’m… cough… feeling unwell and can’t go out to buy…”
The receptionist understood exactly what kind of “unwell” this was. “Of course, we’ll deliver it immediately. Should the fever persist, please contact us promptly.”
An Omega’s heat was no trivial matter. Without timely suppressants, the pheromone leakage could trigger alpha frenzies—essentially becoming a human catalyst for chaos.
Hanging up, Ning Yu sighed in relief—only to freeze as a lithe body pressed against her back. Before she could turn, hands clamped around her neck and waist, slamming her face-first onto the floor.
Forehead meeting hardwood, she was truly at a loss for tears now.
“What do you want?” Mu Qiuyan’s hoarse voice trembled with barely restrained fury, her grip tightening.
Ning Yu yelped in pain, “I didn’t—I didn’t do anything!”
“You brought me here,” Mu Qiuyan asserted, forcing Ning Yu down to scrutinize her face.
Ning Yu kept her face glued to the floor, not daring to look up. “I saw your heat coming on… thought a crowded bar wasn’t… appropriate. That’s all.”
“You expect me to believe that?!”
Scorching breath hit Ning Yu’s neck as sweat dripped down—clear signs of Mu Qiuyan’s desperate resistance.
“I just called room service. They’re bringing suppressants,” Ning Yu soothed, “You heard me, right? I’m not lying.”
Only labored breathing answered.
“Could you maybe let me—” Before she finished, the weight collapsed unconscious onto her.
Ning Yu: “……”
He carried her to the bed, catching glimpses of her exposed skin. Ning Yu scratched his cheek sheepishly before stepping forward to properly tie the bow at the back of Mu Qiu Yan’s neck, then wrapped her tightly in the blanket.
Tsk, the beauty was indeed stunning, but absolutely off-limits.
Just then, a sudden loli voice rang out in Ning Yu’s mind, exclaiming excitedly, “Kiss her, hold her, make her fall hopelessly in love with you. Then torment her, abuse her, break her heart into pieces.”
