That Man Is a Little Wild - Chapter 19
“Does this feel right?”
Chi Ye’s patience had already frayed thin. His voice was low, rough around the edges, carrying a kind of restrained urgency.
Li Cang arched slightly against the touch, the tension in his body almost visible. His breath caught in his throat, the muscles of his neck tightening as if caught between resistance and surrender.
“Slow down…” His words came out broken, trembling between control and loss of it.
Chi Ye’s movements were steady at first, but the closeness between them only deepened his hunger. The air in the room grew thick, filled with the sound of their uneven breathing half struggle, half-longing.
Each time Chi Ye drew closer, Li Cang’s voice wavered, the sound mingling with the rhythm of their hearts. It was a strange kind of war one fought not with anger, but with desire neither of them dared to name.
When Chi Ye suddenly stilled, he reached for Li Cang’s face, eyes dark and searching.
“Can I stay here?” he asked.
Li Cang hesitated, shaking his head.
A shadow crossed Chi Ye’s gaze. He tightened his hold, his voice dropping lower. “Then you’ll stay with me.”
Li Cang’s composure began to crumble beneath the weight of it all the exhaustion, the heat, the dizzying nearness. “Fine,” he whispered, half in defeat, half in surrender. “I’ll stay.”
Chi Ye’s lips curved faintly, as if in victory, but his expression softened. “Then call me by my name,” he said.
“Chi Ye…” Li Cang’s voice was thin, trembling, but this time it carried something gentler, something dangerously close to affection.
Chi Ye drew him into his arms, his forehead pressed against Li Cang’s. The world outside seemed to fall away, leaving only the quiet sound of their breathing.
Somewhere beyond the closed door, the faint creak of a floorboard broke the silence, a reminder that not everything could stay hidden. But in that moment, neither of them cared.
