That Man Is a Little Wild - Chapter 4
The two of them walked out of the elevator, one following the other, heading into the parking lot.
The dim lights of nearby cars flickered, and for a brief moment, the alcohol haze in Li Cang’s mind cleared. He studied Chi Ye carefully, wondering if this man was one of those charming players who knew exactly how to reel people in.
Chi Ye opened the back door of the car and turned slightly toward him.
The man’s presence was almost overwhelming his sharp features carried a wild, untamed energy. Tall and broad-shouldered, he rested one hand on the door frame while the other casually unbuttoned his shirt. In the shifting light, Li Cang caught a glimpse of his toned body, the kind that spoke of strength rather than vanity.
His skin had that sun-kissed tone Li Cang always found irresistible.
Li Cang gave a low whistle. “Not bad,” he teased, his gaze drifting lower before a playful smile tugged at his lips. “You work out for a reason, huh?”
Chi Ye chuckled softly. “Want to find out?”
Li Cang raised an eyebrow, amused by the boldness. “Why not?”
He slid into the car, pulling Chi Ye with him, and the air between them immediately thickened with tension. The scent of alcohol and smoke mingled with something distinctly masculine, charged and heavy.
Their conversation faded into silence every glance and movement between them said far more than words could. What had started as a flirtatious encounter was quickly turning into something far more dangerous, far more consuming.
Chi Ye leaned in, his voice low, teasing. “Sensitive, aren’t you?”
Li Cang’s breath caught for a second, the world spinning with heat and heartbeat. He wanted to argue, to throw back a witty retort but the only thing he could do was meet that gaze, dark and steady, and realize he was already in too deep.
