The Affairs of the Martial World - Vol 2: Chapter 11
They found a place to rest against a dune. In order to save water, everyone put dry rations in their mouths, chewed them slowly until they turned into a paste, and then swallowed them. Afraid of getting more thirsty by eating too much, each person only ate half full before lying down to rest. In order to conserve energy, everyone spoke less.
In the middle of the night, a sudden scream was heard. Zhu Que staggered to his feet, and everyone was startled awake.
Shui Mingyue was shocked to see a sword pierced through Zhu Que’s chest. Zhu Que pointed at Fuying and said, “Well, well, how dare you do this just for my little bit of water…..”
Before he could finish his sentence, he had already fallen and laid down stiffly, blood flowing from the wound where the sword had struck.
He was stabbed in the vital spot. It looked like he was already unable to continue. When they looked at Fuying again, Fuying stood beside Zhu Que, holding Zhu Que’s water pouch in his hand.
The Mu brothers and the monks of White Horse Temple immediately surrounded Fuying, with Mu Qingshan even cursing him for being ungrateful.
Zhu Que and Fuying were well-known close friends in the martial arts world. Now, in order to survive, they resorted to such ruthless means over a bit of water.
Mu Qingshui said nothing, already drew his sword, and lunged at him.
Fuying shouted, “One less person means more water. I won’t hog all of Zhu Que’s water. How about we all share a little?”
Mu Qingqing completely ignored what he said, wielded his sword, and attacked swiftly. Mu Qingshan saw his brother taking action and also drew his sword to fight alongside him.
Although the monks of White Horse Temple did not make a move when Fuying and the Mu brothers started, they also did not dare to use their full strength. The Mu brothers truly worked together with one heart. Their cooperation was as effective as cutting through gold. The two brothers complemented each other’s weaknesses with their Kunlun dual sword techniques, one attacking while the other defended, and vice versa. With each gain and loss, Fuying gradually found himself at a disadvantage.
At this moment, the three monks of White Horse Temple suddenly made a move, not attacking Fuying but targeting the Mu brothers. Mu Qingshan shouted loudly, and although the two of them complemented each other in swordsmanship, they were no match for the four opponents.
Three monks with three swords combined their strength, and with just a few moves, they stabbed the Mu brothers to death on the ground.
Fuying thanked Yin Nian, who then bowed in gratitude. Just as Yin Nian uttered “Amitabha,” Fuying’s sword pierced his body. Yin Nian looked at him with a mix of surprise and confusion before slowly collapsing to the ground.
The other two monks, Yin Hui and Yin Chang, saw that Yin Nian was ambushed by Fuying. They both raised their swords and attacked Fuying. Fuying had just fought fiercely; his internal energy was greatly depleted, and his sword gradually became weak. Yin Hui and Yin Chang were also highly skilled in martial arts.
After all, two fists were no match for four hands, and Fuying was overwhelmed by the combined efforts of two people without any chance of fighting back. Suddenly, with a swift and dangerous move, Yin Hui was wounded, and Yin Chang took the opportunity to drive his sword into Fuying’s body.
Only Shui Mingyue stood aside without taking action, but she seemed to be stunned by the chaos.
Yin Chang and the injured Yin Hui coldly gazed at Shui Mingyue. Of course, they weren’t looking at the person herself but at the water-filled waist pouch on her body.
Shui Mingyue drew out her sword and said, “Since you have the water from those people, you don’t need this bag of water from me to make it out of the desert.”
Yin Chang shamelessly said, “Having more water certainly provides more assurance.”
After speaking, Yin Chang drew his sword and attacked Shui Mingyue. Whether Shui Mingyue was shocked by the previous fight or frightened, she was so stunned that she did not resist and was killed by Yin Chang’s sword.
Yin Chang looked at the injured Yin Hui, and the two burst into laughter, “All the water on everyone’s body is ours……”
The two of them were still immersed in the excitement of being able to survive when suddenly, a black-clad figure emerged from behind the dune not far away.
