The Black Lotus Omega Always Wraps His Tail Around Me (GL, ABO) - Chapter 13
Ji Yanwan waited outside the door for five minutes, her thoughts tangled and restless.
If she had known things would turn out this way, she never would have agreed to accompany Meng Jiayu. Now, Fu Suihe had ended up like this, all because of that cruel and unfair mission from the immoral system.
All Ji Yanwan wanted was to reduce the harm to Fu Suihe as much as she could.
Besides, Fu Suihe clearly was not doing well.
Ji Yanwan could not understand it. Fu Suihe was a Best Actress, a well-known figure in the industry. So why was she downgraded to playing a supporting role for an unknown actress? And why was she being treated so poorly on set?
As she thought about this, Ji Yanwan looked down at her own chest. When she held Fu Suihe earlier, the water from Fu’s body had soaked parts of her clothes, leaving faint marks across the fabric.
The spot where Fu Suihe had cried on her still felt warm.
Are tears supposed to be warm?
Ji Yanwan stared blankly for a moment, then let out a quiet laugh.
Of course tears are not warm. It just happened that Fu Suihe cried right over her heart.
At that moment, Abu rushed over with fever medicine in her hand. From a distance, she saw Ji Yanwan standing at the door and let out a small sigh of relief.
When she got closer, she asked cautiously, “Miss Ji, why are you standing outside?”
Ji Yanwan was pulled back from her thoughts and replied softly, “Because we are different types. She is a public figure, and she is not in a good condition right now.”
Abu was surprised by her answer and looked at her with new eyes.
Ji Yanwan then asked, “Your artist, Fu Suihe, does she often get treated like this?”
Abu was a little stunned that Ji Yanwan was talking to her, but after a moment she responded, “Suihe-jie? I’m just a small assistant. She’s actually my boss.”
“But yes, Suihe-jie really has a hard time. This project has a big budget, but the script is terrible. She tried to refuse the role several times, but couldn’t get out of it. Our company is going through a lot of trouble lately, and she’s caught in the middle. We arrived here overnight.”
“Overnight?” Ji Yanwan frowned slightly. “Isn’t she still in her heat period? Wouldn’t it be safer to stay at home during that time?”
Abu gave a bitter smile. “That kind of treatment is only for pampered young ladies like you. Suihe-jie does not even get to choose her own roles. Do you think she gets to rest?”
Ji Yanwan was taken aback by her words and felt a little embarrassed. “But she’s already a Best Actress. Don’t her fans fight for her? Hasn’t anyone caused a stir?”
She thought of her college roommate, who had once gone into a rage because her idol had three seconds less screen time than other members. That same night, the fans flooded the studio’s comment section with complaints.
“Suihe-jie never stirs up her fans,” Abu said with pride in her voice. “She treats them like family. No matter how badly things go, she would rather suffer alone than let those who love her feel wronged. Suihe-jie has had a hard life, so she values every fan deeply.”
“She cherishes every bit of love she receives.”
Ji Yanwan found this surprising. In the entertainment industry, she had seen so many celebrities pretend to value their fans, while secretly wasting money, dating in secret, or even mocking fans behind their backs.
Just as she was about to ask more questions, the car door opened.
Fu Suihe appeared in a soft pink set of loungewear. Her damp hair fell gently over her shoulders, and her face was still pale. She leaned weakly against the doorway.
As soon as Abu saw the door open, she rushed forward. “Suihe-jie, are you feeling any better?”
Fu Suihe gave her a gentle smile, her voice slightly hoarse. “A little better. Go inside and change. Take a shower. Your clothes are all wet.”
Abu nodded and handed her the fever injection. “Please remember to use it.”
Fu Suihe took the injection and stepped aside to let her in.
Only Fu Suihe and Ji Yanwan were left outside.
Fu Suihe looked at Ji Yanwan with a soft smile. “I think I got your clothes wet too.”
Ji Yanwan looked down and replied, “It’s fine. It’s not too bad.”
“You should come in and change too. It’s easy to catch a cold in this kind of weather.” Fu Suihe turned and walked inside.
Ji Yanwan had planned to refuse again, but she thought about what Abu had just said. Her impression of Fu Suihe had changed a little. Besides, wearing wet clothes really was uncomfortable. So she did not argue and followed her into the RV.
The interior had a faint floral scent. The scent of pheromones had faded and was now almost unnoticeable.
Now that Ji Yanwan was inside, she finally got a good look at the space.
The RV was not large. At the entrance was a small bar area, and beside the sink was a cabinet filled with coffee and flower tea.
Further in were two sofas facing each other. On the small table between them stood a vase full of blooming roses, giving off a light fragrance that lingered in the air.
There were a few cute stuffed pillows on the sofa.
Fu Suihe was going through a cabinet, searching for something.
Ji Yanwan did not rush her. She sat on the sofa and noticed a clear acrylic box on the table filled with miniature figurines.
When Fu Suihe came back, Ji Yanwan was curiously looking at the little decorations.
“I found a few sets of clothes. If you don’t mind, would you like to change into one?” Fu Suihe asked as she handed over a set of plain white loungewear.
Startled by her voice, Ji Yanwan turned and hesitated. “Wouldn’t that be too much trouble? I can manage.”
“It’s still cold in March. You should change. These clothes are very clean. They’ve all been washed.”
“That’s not what I meant,” Ji Yanwan quickly replied. She did not want her to misunderstand, so she accepted the clothes. “Thank you. I’ll change now.”
As she took the clothes, her fingers brushed against Fu Suihe’s hand. The cold touch made her flinch slightly. She then noticed the ends of Fu Suihe’s hair were still dripping with water. Her sleepwear was already soaked in the front, sticking to her pale skin and slightly revealing her collarbones.
Holding the clothes, Ji Yanwan walked toward the back. Inside were two bunk beds. She turned her back and began to change.
Since they were both women, Ji Yanwan was not too self-conscious. She quickly took off her jacket and pulled the new shirt over her head.
Fu Suihe paused for a moment as her eyes lingered.
Ji Yanwan had been wearing a deep V-cut suit, which meant she only had adhesive covers underneath. Her smooth back and waist were fully exposed. As she lifted her arms, the delicate lines of her shoulder blades moved slightly.
The soft hem of the loungewear fell, covering the last glimpse of her waist. Fu Suihe quickly turned away and resumed searching for the hair dryer.
By the time her hair was mostly dry, Ji Yanwan had finished changing and walked over.
Fu Suihe set down the hair dryer and turned. Ji Yanwan happened to be standing behind her, now dressed in the fluffy white loungewear.
Because the size was a bit small, her wrists and ankles peeked out from the ends of the sleeves and pants. She looked a little out of place, like a tiny Pomeranian.
Fu Suihe could not help but let out a quiet laugh.
Her eyes were already bright, and with that smile, the cold and distant features of her face came alive. Two faint dimples appeared, softening her entire expression.
Ji Yanwan glanced down at the lounge pants that now looked like cropped trousers on her and felt a little awkward. To change the subject, she asked, “Why did you stop using the dryer?”
Fu Suihe still had a smile on her face and answered gently, “My arms got tired. I’m just taking a break.”
Noticing that Fu’s eyes were still focused on her, Ji Yanwan stepped forward, took the hair dryer from her hands, and lightly tapped her on the head. “Turn around. I’ll do it for you.”
But Fu Suihe wouldn’t cooperate. She looked at her and said, “No. I want to keep looking at you.”
In her heat period, Fu Suihe seemed a little childish. Maybe it was the fever, but her cheeks were flushed, giving her a cute and innocent appearance.
Ji Yanwan couldn’t resist. She reached out and gently pinched her cheek. “You said it yourself, so don’t blame me.”
Then she turned on the dryer and switched it to warm air, aiming it straight at Fu Suihe’s face.
The warm air rushed over, messing up the hair on her forehead and making her blink instinctively.
“You tricked me!”
Forced to turn around, Fu Suihe lowered her head obediently and let Ji Yanwan dry her hair.
The atmosphere suddenly grew quiet, with only the sound of the blowing air.
Ji Yanwan’s fingers moved gently through her hair, guiding the warm air along as she worked.
Fu Suihe’s hair was incredibly soft, light and silky in her hand, like fine satin.
Because she had lived in a dorm during school, Ji Yanwan often washed her hair together with her roommates and they would help each other blow it dry. Her skills with a hair dryer were well-known in the dorm. But Fu Suihe’s hair was the best she had ever worked with.
Her fingers slid through the long, straight strands with ease, the ends falling smoothly into place.
It felt like warm spring water flowing through her hands, soft and gentle, with a faint clean fragrance.
When the hair was finally dry, Ji Yanwan reluctantly turned off the dryer. Just as she was about to pull her hand away, she felt something lightly rubbing against her palm.
Looking down, she saw Fu Suihe with her eyes closed, leaning into her touch like a content little kitten, gently pressing her head against her hand.
Abu had just finished showering. When she opened the door and saw the scene in front of her, she froze in surprise.
Her always distant and reserved Suihe-jie was now leaning lazily in someone’s arms.
And that someone, Ji Yanwan, who was rumored to be a flirt and a troublemaker, wasn’t doing anything inappropriate. She simply stood quietly behind Fu Suihe, gently stroking her head, one soft motion at a time.
The scene felt oddly familiar to Abu.
It reminded her of how her best friend acted every time they visited a cat café, gently petting the cats the same way.
Abu was confused. Suihe-jie had always spoken about the Ji family with disdain and disgust.
So when Fu Suihe asked her to call Ji Yanwan to her dressing room earlier, Abu had been worried something unpleasant might happen between them.
But during filming, there had been no suspicious marks on Fu Suihe’s neck or body.
By all logic, Suihe-jie should despise Ji Yanwan. So why was she now cuddling so intimately with her?
Abu could not figure it out. She decided it must be because Fu Suihe was in heat. Every time that happened, she always became softer and more clingy.
She threw a towel over her head and rubbed it casually as she made her mind up.
In her past life, Suihe-jie must have been a cat.
If Abu had bent down to look more closely just then, she would have confirmed her guess for sure.
Because a fluffy white tail was slowly sneaking its way out from the bottom of Fu Suihe’s pants. It swayed gently under the sofa, moving in rhythm with each stroke to the top of her head.
