The Black Lotus Villainess Only Wants To Possess Me - Chapter 4
The hunter disguised herself as the most innocent and harmless prey.
Ye Chengxing noticed the Omega’s fingertips, clutching the bedsheets, trembling slightly. She thought, Li Jia has been exposed to so much filth. It’s no wonder she suspects I have ulterior motives. After all, no one has ever shown her genuine, normal affection. They’ve dragged her deeper and deeper into the abyss, until her destruction.
Realizing this, Ye Chengxing approached the bedside, her voice softening further. She decided to proceed gradually. “It’s okay. Don’t dwell on those thoughts. I won’t do anything to you.”
Hearing this, the Omega seemed to tremble even more violently. A faint redness appeared at the corners of Li Jia’s eyes, making her already stunning features even more alluring, almost criminally beautiful. She parted her lips slightly, her breath warm and fragrant as she leaned closer, her voice pitiful enough to stir the deepest sadistic desires in anyone. “They all want my body. Don’t you? I don’t want to give it to them, but I can give it to you, to the one who saved me…”
At that moment, the scent of White Peach pheromones seemed to silently envelop them.
Ye Chengxing’s expression shifted abruptly.
Seeing the subtle shift in the Alpha’s expression, Li Jia felt a surge of mockery in her heart, though her face betrayed only a hint of fragility. She was about to speak again when Ye Chengxing suddenly said, “Li Jia.”
Ye Chengxing looked at Li Jia, her tone gentle yet firm. “Your body belongs to you alone. I don’t need you to do this.”
Li Jia met Ye Chengxing’s gaze, almost bursting into laughter inwardly.
Look at how well she plays the part, Li Jia thought. So upright, her eyes betraying not a trace of the repulsive thoughts churning within. If I hadn’t witnessed the Alpha’s twisted and hideous true nature firsthand, I might have actually believed her.
Li Jia lowered her lashes, concealing the mockery in her eyes, and continued, “But… I want to do something for you…”
As she spoke, she pulled back the blanket. Ye Chengxing noticed then that the Omega was no longer wearing pants beneath the oversized hospital gown, which had slipped down to her thighs, revealing skin as delicate and snow-white as porcelain. Li Jia raised her hand, her fingertips hovering over the gown’s buttons, as if about to unfasten them.
Ye Chengxing felt a headache coming on. She pressed down on Li Jia’s hand, stopping her from undoing the buttons, and quickly said, “Wait! I don’t need you to do anything.”
Li Jia lifted her radiant eyes, her pupils slightly dilated with excitement. She couldn’t wait to kill this person when they felt they could let their guard down. At that moment, a look of disbelief and utter terror would surely cross their hypocritical face, just as it had in her previous life.
“What do you need me to do?” she asked, raising her hand to grasp Ye Chengxing’s neck, her voice growing increasingly seductive. She was adept at manipulating hearts and knew exactly how to draw out the ugliest aspects of people’s nature.
Look, she thought, just a little probing and they can’t help but reveal their true selves. No matter how many times I see it, these people remain utterly repulsive.
Li Jia smiled, like the softest flower, but her heart was brimming with venom, waiting for her prey to draw near before striking a fatal blow.
Ye Chengxing took a deep breath, pulled up the blanket, and tucked the Omega’s hand back under the covers, covering her entire body.
Once she had tucked her in securely, she spoke: “I do need you to do something. While you’re hospitalized these next few days, you need to take your medication properly, eat well, and stay warm in your hospital gown. Even though you’ve had your fever-reducing shot, it might recur, so you need to be extra careful.”
********
The slightly mocking smile on Li Jia’s lips faltered.
Ye Chengxing glanced at the blanket and tugged it up anxiously. “I’ll be right here tonight. If anything happens, just call me. Come on, tuck your hands and feet in properly. Don’t leave them exposed.”
“Oh, right,” Ye Chengxing said, looking around. “Where are your pants? I’ll go get them for you to put on.”
As she spoke, Ye Chengxing turned around the hospital room and found the patient’s pants in a corner. She handed them to Li Jia.
“Even though your fever’s gone down now, it might spike again in the middle of the night. Get dressed first, then try to get some sleep.”
Li Jia met her gaze.
The Alpha’s eyes held concern and care, with none of the nauseating, malicious thoughts she had expected.
It seemed her rebirth had indeed brought about some changes. Ye Chengxing, for instance, was even better at acting and deception than in her previous life.
A dazzling smile suddenly bloomed on Li Jia’s lips. “If that’s what you want, I’ll do it.”
She no longer wanted to kill this scum directly.
Killing her outright would be too easy. She wanted to make her wish she were dead.
********
By now, it was already very late. In another two or three hours, dawn would likely break on the horizon.
Ye Chengxing wasn’t just worried about Li Jia; having only recently transmigrated into the novel, she felt neither sleepy nor tired.
Gazing at the Omega’s peaceful sleeping face, she suddenly sighed inwardly, recalling the girl’s trusting and grateful gaze before falling asleep. A wave of melancholy washed over her.
An undeveloped villain seemed no different from a naive white lotus. But since Ye Chengxing had resolved to heal Li Jia, she would never allow her to suffer harm again. Beyond that, she needed to equip the girl with the means to protect herself.
As she formulated her plans, Ye Chengxing recalled some details. Li Jia was only eighteen. If she remembered correctly, in the original plot, the agent and the company had deliberately isolated her from the outside world, keeping her ignorant and completely dependent on them for control. At eighteen, she should still be in school, shouldn’t she? Of course, this would depend on Li Jia’s wishes. If she only wanted to act, Ye Chengxing would start an entertainment company to promote her. Financial resources were no problem at all.
And those agent and company? They deserved a lesson. They were utterly disgusting.
I wonder if the orphanage Li Jia grew up in still exists…
Just thinking about those scum made her nauseous. She wanted to make them pay for their actions right now.
*******
Ye Chengxing mentally planned her next steps. When she judged it was time, she picked up the thermometer and decided to take Li Jia’s temperature again.
But as she rose and approached, Li Jia’s eyes snapped open. Her gaze was startlingly clear, showing no trace of drowsiness. However, the room was too dim with the curtains drawn, and Ye Chengxing failed to notice this.
Assuming she had woken Li Jia by getting up, Ye Chengxing felt a pang of annoyance.
Of course, she thought. An Omega fresh from that kind of environment would likely sleep lightly, filled with anxiety. She spoke soothingly, “It’s nothing. Fevers tend to fluctuate. I’m just taking your temperature. Go back to sleep.”
Her voice, already gentle and melodious, took on an almost tender quality as she lowered it.
As Ye Chengxing finished speaking, whether because it was truly late or because she was simply exhausted, Li Jia found herself feeling a long-forgotten drowsiness as she watched the other woman approach, take her temperature, and whisper soothing words.
She curled her fingertips, her gaze fixed on the Alpha’s blurry figure in the dimly lit room.
After a moment, Li Jia lowered her eyes coldly.
Pretentious. Disgusting.
