The Black Lotus Villainess Only Wants To Possess Me - Chapter 8
Despite the flood of comments beneath the original novel condemning Li Jia as inhuman, Ye Chengxing never felt that way, even when the villain had fully embraced her dark side by the end.
If Li Jia were truly devoid of humanity, she wouldn’t have abandoned her entire bombing plan just because a little girl offered her a lollipop.
Ye Chengxing wanted to believe in her, even if the person standing before her now wasn’t the villain before her corruption, but the fully blackened Li Jia of the final act. She would still choose to believe.
Ye Chengxing’s words were spoken lightly, yet they landed in Li Jia’s ears with immeasurable weight.
Though only a few seconds passed, it felt like an eternity. Li Jia lowered her gaze, avoiding Ye Chengxing’s eyes.
The Omega’s grip on the gift box slowly tightened.
Reluctantly, she admitted to herself:
This monster… she does have some skill.
The tutor Ye Chengxing hired arrived promptly, arriving that very day.
While artificial intelligence was convenient, its educational coverage remained limited.
The tutor was a graduate student from A University who had recently returned to the country. Ye Chengxing had hired her at a high price as soon as she adjusted to the time difference.
Li Jia stared at the tutor who had just entered the room, a rare look of surprise on her face.
Although Ye Chengxing had mentioned hiring a tutor for her, Li Jia had dismissed it as a joke, much like Ye Chengxing’s earlier promise to send her to school. She never expected… that Ye Chengxing would actually follow through.
Ye Chengxing was clearly pleased with the tutor. She glanced at Li Jia, noticed a stray strand of hair sticking up on her head, and gently smoothed it down with a smile. “I have to go out later. Study hard with the tutor, and text me if you need anything.”
With that, Ye Chengxing nodded politely to the tutor, pushed open the door, and headed downstairs.
Li Jia stood in the room, her gaze drifting involuntarily to the window. A few seconds later, she saw Ye Chengxing leaving the house. The woman wore a custom-tailored coat, her long, loose curls cascading down her back. The legs visible beneath the coat were long and straight, and Li Jia could almost hear the soft click of her heels on the pavement.
Li Jia recalled the Alpha’s earlier actions and words, her fingertips curling slightly.
But she quickly snapped back to reality, a cold sneer forming in her mind.
Just sugar-coated bullets.
Still, since they had actually hired a tutor, they might send her to school. If that were the case, there might be some value she could exploit.
She would stay for a while longer, and when she revealed her true nature and lost all usefulness, she would kill her without hesitation.
Li Jia thought coldly.
The tutor, noticing her fixed gaze downstairs even after Ye Chengxing’s figure had disappeared, couldn’t help but remark, “You and your sister have such a close bond.” Even a short outing seemed to bring such reluctance.
Hearing the tutor’s voice, Li Jia withdrew her gaze.
The Omega smiled faintly, a smile that seemed both agreeable and tinged with an unreadable undercurrent.
“Yes,” she replied, turning back with a genuine smile and polite tone. Her hair swayed slightly with the movement, framing her youthful vitality like a flower unfolding under the morning sun. To any observer, she would appear as fresh and innocent as a blossom. “Let’s begin, Teacher.”
Ye Chengxing had her assistant contact Li Jia’s former company immediately. She didn’t want to delay, so she arranged a meeting as soon as Li Jia was discharged from the hospital.
As the villain, the original plot didn’t delve much into Li Jia’s early life. Most of the narrative focused on her later acts of revenge, her ruthlessness, and her descent into madness. The more detailed backstory had been extracted by the System into separate text files.
Even so, Ye Chengxing remained unclear about the exact terms of Li Jia’s contract with Starflash Entertainment. The only certainty was that the contract hadn’t expired yet.
However, the breach of contract penalty wasn’t a concern. Ye Chengxing’s sole focus was to extract Li Jia from that scum-ridden company. She had already initiated an investigation into the matter, and once the contract was terminated, she would spare no effort in making those bastards pay for their actions.
Today’s trip was driven by a bodyguard, a habit inherited from the original Ye Chengxing. She typically traveled with several bodyguards, and Ye Chengxing, erring on the side of caution, brought even more.
Starflash Entertainment was located in a somewhat remote area, tucked behind several other buildings. Ye Chengxing had to take a detour to find it. Standing before the company’s entrance, she observed that the entire building looked quite old from the outside, and its footprint wasn’t particularly large.
The receptionist, having already been informed of her arrival, led her to the second floor.
As they ascended to the conference room, Ye Chengxing instructed two bodyguards to enter with her, while the rest remained outside.
Stepping into the conference room, she subtly activated the recording device hidden in her pocket.
Only one person stood inside. Ye Chengxing glanced around and immediately recognized him—a face that had left an indelible impression on her after reviewing the plot footage.
This was Lin Que, the manager who had brought Li Jia back to the company years ago.
“Miss Ye, it’s an honor to finally meet you,” Lin Que greeted her, his smile widening as he pulled out a chair and poured her a glass of water, his expression almost obsequious.
Ye Chengxing frowned slightly as she sat down but didn’t touch the water Lin Que had poured.
“Lin Que, you know why I’m here today. Let’s get straight to the point: I’m terminating Li Jia’s contract.”
Hearing her directness, Lin Que’s expression remained unchanged, his smile only tinged with a hint of wistfulness. “No wonder the industry has been saying Miss Ye is under some kind of spell, sacrificing even friendships for a young lover. Now it seems you’re not just disregarding friendships—you’re coming directly to our little company.”
Ye Chengxing didn’t reply, only let out a scornful laugh.
Lin Que’s smile faltered slightly under her mocking gaze. He cleared his throat, adopting a troubled expression. “Miss Ye, it’s not that I don’t want to terminate the contract…”
Ye Chengxing tapped the table, cutting him off. “Enough with the nonsense. Show me the contract first.”
Even with her sharp tone, Lin Que’s smile didn’t waver. He smoothly produced the contract for her inspection.
The thin stack of papers crinkled under Ye Chengxing’s fingers as she gripped them too tightly, unable to contain her anger.
The contract stipulated a fifty-year term. Starflash Entertainment would cover Li Jia’s living expenses until she reached adulthood. In exchange, all of Li Jia’s future earnings—including film salaries, endorsement fees, and other compensation—would belong to Starflash Entertainment. If Li Jia performed well, the company would pay her a monthly bonus of five hundred yuan.
Bonus…
Bonus, my ass! Have you no shame?!
Ye Chengxing stared at the black-and-white contract in her hand, her gaze lingering on the childishly scrawled signature at the bottom: “Li Jia.” Her expression turned icy.
Noticing Ye Chengxing’s gaze fixed on the signature, Lin Que sighed deeply, as if recalling some distant past. “That poor child Li Jia had it so rough back then,” he said with feigned sincerity. “Covered in bruises, she couldn’t even write her own name properly. I had to teach her the correct way to write it before she could manage. Miss Ye, don’t think this contract is unreasonable. We’ve been taking care of Li Jia and investing in her development all these years. You’ve heard the saying ‘repay kindness with kindness,’ haven’t you?”
As Lin Que continued his shameless monologue, Ye Chengxing’s fingers tightened around the contract.
Sensing her anger, Lin Que’s smile remained unchanged. He sighed again and continued, “Miss Ye, you weren’t there to see what it was like back then. If I hadn’t intervened and taken her away, an Omega entering her Differentiation Period alone on the streets would have been toyed with to death long ago. Truth be told, I’m Li Jia’s savior…”
With a sharp thud, the contract was slammed onto the table, cutting off Lin Que’s next words.
“Lin Que, do you really think your actions were flawless?” Ye Chengxing asked, her voice laced with icy contempt as she stared at the Beta, who still wore a calm smile.
Hearing her words, the smile finally vanished from Lin Que’s face. “Miss Ye, I originally intended to be amicable, but it seems you’re determined to terminate the contract?”
Ye Chengxing met his gaze, offering no reply.
A brief silence fell over the room. Just then, Lin Que suddenly burst into laughter.
“Yes, I could never measure up to Miss Ye’s ‘goodness.’ But since you’re so concerned about Li Jia and so eager to terminate our contract with Starflash Entertainment, perhaps you should take a look at this first…” As he chuckled uncontrollably, Lin Que pressed a button, and a holographic video instantly projected into the air.
Ye Chengxing’s pupils constricted sharply as she watched the video of the Omega, completely naked and flushed crimson.
