- Chapter 13 - The Sensitive Little Girl
Luo Xiaoxiao’s words silenced both her genuine and fake fans alike.
Her true fans had been chanting along with the young lady, while the fake ones had merely stumbled upon her live stream and heard her self-introduction.
But no one could have anticipated that the subtitling team had made a mistake—they had written her name as “Xiaoxiao” instead of the correct characters.
Seeing the crowd fall into silence, Luo Xiaoxiao continued, “My name is Luo Xiaoxiao—’Xiao’ as in ‘Xiaoxiang.'”
After another pause, she heard the collective sound of the audience sucking in a sharp breath.
One fan was the first to react. “Xiaoxiao, don’t take it to heart. The subtitlers messed up when they transcribed your name.”
A younger fan muttered to herself, I never even looked at the subtitles before—I just followed Lu Yu in calling her ‘Xiaoxiao.’ Did I just call her that too? I hope she doesn’t remember…
As it turned out, Luo Xiaoxiao’s memory wasn’t great—she had already forgotten the whole incident.
Li Fanshuang nervously tugged at her sleeve and whispered in her ear, “Let’s go.”
She didn’t like crowded environments or being in such close proximity to fans.
Luo Xiaoxiao was puzzled. In her past life, her fans had only been interested in watching her fight—they weren’t into idol culture at all.
She had no idea what her current wife had endured in the past—being stalked by obsessive fans, being forcibly hugged by a sleazy male Beta at a press conference—all of which had left Li Fanshuang deeply anxious.
Luo Xiaoxiao took her hand and felt it trembling slightly.
Frowning, Luo Xiaoxiao raised her voice and shouted, “Everyone, quiet!”
Instantly, the entire room fell silent.
She climbed onto a chair and announced, “Listen up, everyone. We’re here filming a variety show—this is work. If you want photos or autographs, today isn’t the day.”
A wave of disappointed murmurs rippled through the crowd.
Luo Xiaoxiao made a “time-out” gesture with her hands. “I believe my fans—and my wife’s fans—love us very much, right?”
“Right!” the crowd chorused.
Her sharp gaze landed on a few suspicious figures lurking in the corner.
“Then I have a task for you,” Luo Xiaoxiao called out.
“What task?!” The fans perked up, energized by the sense of involvement.
Luo Xiaoxiao smirked. “Everyone, let’s all enjoy a meal together at Guolai Restaurant—spend generously, okay?”
“Okay!”
Pleased with their enthusiasm, she continued, “Great! To avoid disturbing other diners, listen up—attention! All personnel, Omegas and children first, head to the nearest serving window. Got it?”
“Got it!”
“Harasho or not harasho?” Luo Xiaoxiao raised her hand high.
“Harasho!”
With that, the fans began lining up in an orderly fashion.
Li Fanshuang stared in disbelief. What kind of fan discipline is this?
You can actually handle fans like this?
Seeing that order had been restored, Luo Xiaoxiao gracefully hopped down from the chair.
Luckily, she had tissues in her bag—she made sure to wipe the chair clean after stepping on it.
“Let’s go.” She took Li Fanshuang’s hand, and the two joined the bustling crowd for their meal.
After a busy half-day, both of them were exhausted.
Bored out of her mind, Li Fanshuang asked curiously, “How do you get them to listen to you so obediently?”
“Huh?” Luo Xiaoxiao looked up from devouring her meal. “I think people who genuinely like me couldn’t possibly be bad.”
Li Fanshuang looked at her and chuckled softly. Xiaoxiao was still too naive—she hadn’t experienced how vile human nature could be like Li Fanshuang had.
“I suggest you don’t let fans get so close to you in the future. It’s not safe,” Li Fanshuang said bluntly.
Luo Xiaoxiao fell silent for a moment before shaking her head. “People who truly like me want me to do better. Those who hurt me or my family under the guise of liking me aren’t real fans.”
Li Fanshuang’s  gaze froze for a few seconds as she stared blankly at the Omega before her, only snapping out of it after a long pause.
“Fine.”
Having eaten her fill, Luo Xiaoxiao set down her chopsticks. “Don’t misunderstand me—I’m not saying you should trust everyone blindly. Just now, there were many people around, but in private situations, I’d also consider it dangerous, especially when so many suddenly appear in my personal space.”
As a former women’s boxing champion in her past life, Luo Xiaoxiao had never experienced celebrity-like treatment and naturally hadn’t encountered any stalkers. The most outrageous incident she’d faced was a man blocking her path, demanding a match because she had spoken up for victims of domestic violence. Of course, all that was behind her now.
“I’m curious,” Li Fanshuang narrowed her eyes as she studied her wife. Over the past two days, she’d given her many surprises. Was she really just a massage therapist?
Luo Xiaoxiao thought, This is bad—I’ve revealed too much in front of her!
Damn it! Thinking of Li Fanshuang’s  face, Luo Xiaoxiao smacked her forehead. You’re such a lust-blinded fool!
“Ah, darling, don’t misunderstand! When I lived in the dormitory, I often heard the younger girls talk like this,” Luo Xiaoxiao piled on an aggrieved expression and added, “I’m just a very sensitive little girl.”
Li Fanshuang’s gaze fell on the empty dishes before her—five large plates, not a single grain of rice left.
Tsk, so this is the appetite of a ‘sensitive little girl’ nowadays.
Li Fanshuang hesitated before speaking. “I think you should control—”
“I didn’t eat that much today, did I?” Luo Xiaoxiao was puzzled. She’d been holding back, hadn’t she? Then she looked down at her bowl—no, the basin she’d asked the kitchen auntie for because the regular bowls were too small. Oh no!
Damn, Xiaoxiao’s appetite is terrifying!
What’s wrong with girls eating a lot?
Â
An Omega eating like that is scary.
Â
Are they eating your rice? Our Shuangshuang can afford to feed her!
Online discussions quickly heated up.
Li Fanshuang shook her head and gave up on further persuasion. So what if she had a big appetite? It wasn’t like she couldn’t afford it.
“I’m just worried about your health.”
Luo Xiaoxiao huffed and pouted. “You’re just worried I’ll embarrass you and land us on trending searches again, aren’t you?”
These past two days, she and Li Fanshuang had practically become regulars on the hot search lists.
Hearing this, Li Fanshuang immediately retorted, “Isn’t today’s top trending topic about us?”
“What then? ‘Real or Fake Lovers’?” Luo Xiaoxiao asked suspiciously.
The show’s popularity currently ranked top among variety programs, with Li Fanshuang being its ratings guarantee. If it wasn’t about them…
Then the number one trending topic should be the show itself.
Yet Li Fanshuang still shook her head after hearing this.
Luo Xiaoxiao continued guessing, clapping her hands together, “That guy—the one who rode a bicycle trying to trend for self-promotion.”
Seemed like that young man Fang Jin had gotten his wish after all.
Li Fanshuang still shook her head.
Luo Xiaoxiao was puzzled now. Could it be about some veteran artist?
That didn’t seem right.
Li Fanshuang didn’t keep her in suspense. “Zhu Yuxin confessed to Lu Yu.”
Luo Xiaoxiao: “What?!”
