Episode 7: The Younger Sister (Now Older) Who Clings to Her Big Brother
“A-ah! If the room’s not ready, I’ll just sleep somewhere random…!”
“That’s bad for your health, so no! Onii-chan is going to sleep with me from now on!”
After dinner, Menou firmly restrained Phil from behind. She was making sure he couldn’t escape.
“But, like, if you just prepare a room it’ll be ready in no time, right? Even Phil wants to be alone when sleeping—”
“Hm? What’s wrong, Raika? If you say anything weird, I’ll reduce your food tomorrow.”
“…Good night, Phil.”
Raika had tried to help Phil. But she was swiftly defeated.
“No way…!”
“Come on, this way, Onii-chan!”
And so, Phil was half-forcibly dragged into his little sister’s room.
Right after entering, Menou nonchalantly stripped in front of Phil. She changed into fluffy pajamas that looked like something a child would wear.
She then approached Phil. But Phil was cowering in the corner of the room in fear of his sister’s bizarre behavior—
“Onii-chan! Give me a lap pillow!”
“H-huh…?”
She made such a request as if it were the most natural thing.
“Because, Onii-chan, you used to do it for me all the time, right?!”
“I-I don’t remember doing that even once…”
“Eh—there’s no way that’s true!”
“……………………”
Apparently, out of loneliness, Menou had fabricated imaginary memories with her big brother.
“…Alright. I’ll do it… just like the old days.”
After thinking it over, Phil decided to play along with his sister’s sad delusion.
“Yay! Thank you, Onii-chan!”
Phil was tightly hugged by an overjoyed Menou. But inside, he was filled with guilt and regret for having left his sister alone long enough for her mental state to become like this.
“Come… over here.”
Phil sat on the bed and gestured for Menou.
“Ehehe… Onii-chan’s thigh… it’s so soft…!”
Without hesitation, Menou dove right in.
“This tickles though…”
“Your skin is so smooth… so pretty… it looks so delicious…”
She rubbed her cheek against the innocent boy’s thigh in a dreamy manner. She was touching him in a lewd manner.
The scene was criminal to the extreme.
Actually, it *was* a crime.
“Gueheh, uhehehe…!”
“I-if you keep doing weird things, I’ll stop, okay!”
“Onii-chan is kind. So he won’t do anything cruel to me…!”
“…No, I don’t think stopping this is particularly cruel?”
Phil gave a perfectly reasonable response.
“Because… I’ve been lonely all this time… So at least for today, let me cling to you as much as I want… okay…?”
“When you put it like that, I can’t say anything back…!”
“…Sorry for being such a selfish sister, Onii-chan.”
Menou was curled up as she spoke. She looked like an oversized baby.
“Yeah. Menou might’ve been more mature when she was smaller.”
“A-a-am I… a bad girl now…?”
Menou asked in an anxious voice.
“No, that’s not it. You’ve always wanted to be spoiled like this. But I kept making you hold it in… I’m sorry.”
“Onii-chan…!”
“With mom and dad gone… you must’ve wanted someone to lean on. And since Master is like that… well, it’s a bit difficult.”
Phil gently patted his grown-up little sister’s head and spoke kindly.
“Mommy…!”
“That’s not what I am.”
Phil immediately denied Menou’s whisper. Being treated like a mom was a bit too much, even for him.
“—Of course, since you’re older than me now, I do wish you’d act a bit more grown-up.”
“S-sorry for being a bad Menou, mommy…!”
“Seriously, stop calling me that.”
Phil gave her head a light flick.
“Auu.”
Menou let out a small yelp. But for some reason, she looked happy.
A grown woman, pleased to be flicked on the head by a boy.
“…By the way, what’s Master been doing lately?”
Since Master had come up, Phil asked. He was slightly curious.
“—Ah, I forgot.”
“Huh…?”
“Master’s been holed up in their room for a while now… so I kinda…”
“You’ve gotta be kidding…?”
Apparently, even though Master was at the party house, everyone had been neglecting them entirely.
“Master… still so easy to forget…”
“T-tomorrow… I’ll take you to reunite. Master will be happy too!”
“…Okay.”
Phil felt a pang of guilt.
*
After continuing the lap pillow for a while, Phil’s legs started to go numb—
“…Hey, Onii-chan.”
Menou had been dozing off. She suddenly called out to Phil.
“What is it?”
“…I’m sorry for making you bear everything. You probably… wanted someone to lean on too, right…?”
“N-not really… that’s not true.”
Phil denied her words. He was slightly flustered.
“And also, Onii-chan… you became an adventurer to cure my illness… so I feel like it’s my fault…”
“…That’s not true. You’re overthinking it, Menou.”
After a pause, Phil continued.
“It’s true I became an adventurer to cure your illness… but I also just admired the lifestyle.”
“But still…”
“—Besides, everyone brought me back to life. So let’s end that talk already.”
“…Okay. Sorry for saying weird things, Onii-chan…”
Menou lifted her head and sat up—then quietly sat beside Phil.
“Huh, done already?”
“Yeah. —Now it’s my turn to spoil Onii-chan. I’ll give you a lap pillow or anything you want… so let me pamper you…!”
Menou opened her arms, ready to receive Phil.
“I’ll become your big sister, Phil!”
“That’s embarrassing, so I’ll pas—”
“Yes yes.”
Though Phil tried to decline, he was forcibly silenced by being buried in her chest.
“Onii-chan is still a child, so just let Menou-oneechan spoil you. Got it?”
“Mh-mmm!”
“Ahaha, I can’t tell what you’re saying. Onii-chan, you’re so cute…”
“Gummm…!”
Phil was hugged tightly. He was utterly defeated by his now-stronger little sister.
“I love you, Onii-chan… forever and ever…”
Embraced like a body pillow, he was whispered to as he fell asleep. He was surrounded by her sweet scent and softness.
“If you ever feel like it… you can come to me anytime, okay…?”
—Phil’s days of hardship were far from over.
