The Butcher Shop in the Demon Realm - Chapter 13
“Wha—Lady Hilde!?”
A duke, someone completely out of my league, suddenly hugged me—and all I could do was let out a startled cry. Of course I did. If I so much as reached out and touched her, who knows what kind of accusations I’d face?
Her authority is such that she literally holds the power of life and death over commoners. If she so much as said, “Die,” her loyal servants would snuff me out in an instant.
Naturally, her individual strength is no joke either. She could probably flick my forehead and blow my skull clean off.
“Mmm~ I’ve finally had the pleasure of meeting you, Sosuke-sama. I’m truly overwhelmed with gratitude for your tremendous contributions to this nation’s culinary culture.”
She looked like she was going to nuzzle me… and then she really did. I forced myself to remember my master’s hellish training, just to keep calm—so I didn’t touch her by accident, or let my son react in the worst way possible.
Paralyzed, I turned my eyes toward the maid who was nervously fidgeting off to the side, hoping she’d come to my rescue.
“M-Milady, Sosuke-sama’s looks distressed.”
The short-haired maid must have picked up on my desperate gaze, because she came to my rescue.
I’m grateful.
“Ah? Just who do you think you are?”
But Lady Hilde’s reaction was beyond anything I could’ve imagined.
“—Ugh… m-my deepest apolo—ugh…”
“W-wait, Lady Hilde!? P-please, that’s enough.”
“Cough M-my sincerest apologies… cough cough.”
Lady Hilde’s face suddenly twisted into that of a demon, and a black shadow rose from her feet, reaching for the maid’s neck, ready to sever it in an instant.
A second’s delay, and that maid’s head would’ve been separated from her body—no doubt about it.
“…If Sosuke-sama insists, I suppose I’ll let it go… You there. Yes, you. You’d better spend the rest of your life repaying Sosuke-sama for sparing your life.”
“U-understood.”
W-Wait should I maybe not have stopped her…?

“Yes, I’ve heard about that matter. I would be honored to offer my assistance.”
With Lady Hilde back to her usual composed self, I figured I’d deliver the message quickly and get out of there. However, she casually slid in beside me and locked arms. Her voluptuous br3asts wrapping around my arm.
It seems she truly meant what she said earlier about being grateful for the improvement in this country’s food culture, as she spent dozens of minutes passionately explaining what makes my master’s and my shop great.
But even so, I can’t believe how high her affection level is right from the start.
She’s a duke in this country and vampire monarch, while I’m nothing but food.
“…………Sousuke-sama? There are many in our family who have married normal humans, you know?”
As if she read my thoughts, Lady Hilde said that while pressing her magnificent twin hills against me.
I figured it was better not to ask too much, so I decided to honestly express what I was thinking and how I felt.
“――So, essentially, I want to establish an environment where premium ingredients can be supplied steadily and safely.”
“I see—so you’re brainwashing them, making them believe that ending up on our dining table is the ultimate joy and the correct end to their lives.”
“Yes, if they are raised in that condition, they’ll grow up healthy, and they’ll come to see that way of life as normal, and the effort required for brainwashing should gradually decrease.”
“I believe securing a certain amount of resources is important, but how do you plan to manage that aspect?”
“Yes, I’ve arranged for Liu-san… a merchant who manages a slaughterhouse for Jikininki, to regularly abduct high-quality humans. In exchange, I’ll sell the lower-quality products raised at my breeding farm at a discounted price.”
“Understood. I think my subordinates can handle that. If we go too far, though, humans might come after us, so we’ll need to be careful… so, moderation is key. As for the brainwashing, I believe we’re more skilled at it, so we’ll be happy to assist you.”
“That’s… a very generous proposal, but are you sure it’s okay?”
“Yes, but in return, I have a favor to ask… will you listen?”
Lady Hilde pressed her lips to my ear and whispered her request in a soft, sweet voice.
“Could you regularly supply bl00d to our household?”
I see―― I’ve heard this before, but what is the most delicious food for a vampire?
They say that the bl00d of a human who is experiencing happiness is the most delicious.
“Indeed, when I sink my fangs into a human overflowing with happiness, the sweetness is so overwhelming that even I find myself reaching climax.”
I realized this is why I often hear stories about vampires who secretly live in human society, coexisting with them.
On the other hand, the bl00d of humans available in this country is said to be full of stress and dangerously close to being like spoiled milk.
“…In other words, I am…”
“Hehe… Just being near you like this makes it hard for me to control my excitement.”
So that’s how it is.
The mystery behind her attitude toward me has been solved.
“Hah… Sosuke-sama, if you’re willing to, would you like to join me for a meal?”
“W-well… the ingredients…”
“Hehe… I won’t let anything bad happen to you… please, come this way.”
Saying that, Duke Hilde pulled me by the hand. As a mere human, I had no power to resist, and so I stepped into her extravagant bedroom.

This is how I ended up under the patronage of a duke from the demon realm and got myself a breeding facility in one of the best areas of the noble district.
A month later, I began keeping the young women who had been abducted, fitting them with slave collars and brainwashing them with Lady Hilde’s help.
From the outside, I must look like a mysterious man living with a large number of slaves…or at least I think so.
I mate with one of the women every night, and arrangements are in place for them to give birth periodically.
It kind of feels like I’m just a stud horse, but with how well I’m being supported, I can’t really complain.
“The next step is to have the women work as well, to enhance the overall quality of life.”
At the second shop I manage, the old man’s son ended up helping out, so I now spend more than half my time living at this estate.
There’s still a mountain of things to do, and it looks like it’ll take a bit more time before I can live without working.
Chapter length 2505 characters.
Author Note: With this, Volume One comes to a close! If there’s strong interest, I’ll give my all for Volume Two!
TL Note: Guess the author didn’t receive enough interest on the series. They marked this series as complete and moved on to other stories.
