The Cannon Fodder NPC Went Too Far [Quick Transmigration] - Chapter 42
Chapter 42
“Well, well, you’re the yellow-haired girl who bullied my little brother? Tsk tsk tsk, seeing your old man here, why haven’t you surrendered?”
In the dim alley, the walls were covered with mottled moss, and the faint yellow streetlamp swayed in the breeze, casting flickering light and shadow.
A dozen sturdy men gathered together, their dark figures completely blocking the narrow alley.
The leader was bald, with several ferocious scars on his face that looked even more terrifying in the dim light. He had a cigarette hanging from his mouth and brazenly scrutinized Gu Aoyu, who dared to show up alone.
“Seeing as you’re just a woman, I won’t bully the younger or outnumber you. How about this: you break your own arms to apologize to my little brother, and I’ll spare you the pain of being beaten.”
Gu Aoyu sneered, took off her school uniform jacket and tossed it aside, stretching her neck and wrists. Then, she contemptuously flipped a middle finger at the leader.
“You’re asking for death! Go! Today, this old man will teach you what you can provoke and what you can’t!” Following the leader’s roar, the surrounding thugs, who were eyeing her fiercely and carrying iron rods, swarmed forward. They swung their rods toward Gu Aoyu’s head.
“Little Blue Orb, let’s go start a team fight.” Gu Aoyu whistled flirtatiously at them, tucking the scattered strands of hair behind her ear. Her leg muscles tensed, and she charged out, clutching a wooden stick.
The silver lip ring on her lip flashed with a cold light in the darkness, reflecting the coldness in her eyes.
An iron rod grazed past her ear. Gu Aoyu swiftly dodged, and taking advantage of the moment when the opponent’s old strength was exhausted and new strength hadn’t been born, she kicked his lower body.
Using the recoil, she arched her back to dodge two rods that were sweeping towards her head from front and back.
She supported herself with one hand on the ground, the veins on her legs bulging, and kicked the jaw of the thug on the left. With a crack, the thug stumbled backward.
Gu Aoyu’s eyes turned cold, she sidestepped the short stick lunging from the right, caught the rod coming from the left, lowered her body slightly, swept the leg of the thug on the left, and snatched the weapon from his hand.
Almost at the same moment Gu Aoyu dodged to the left, the Little Blue Orb, which had been assisting in her mind, urgently warned: “Host, behind you! Behind you!”
In Gu Aoyu’s mind, the system’s precise calculation and monitoring of the location and approximate next move of each thug was displayed.
Behind her, a muscular thug tightly gripped an iron rod and heavily swung it towards Gu Aoyu’s back. A dazzling red light flashed rhythmically.
Gu Aoyu seemed not to notice, grunting as she took the heavy blow head-on. Just as the thug thought he had succeeded and burst into arrogant laughter, Gu Aoyu, who had already snatched a more effective weapon, flexed her arm muscles, rotated 180 degrees using her upper body to drive her arms, and swung the iron rod with thunderous force fiercely towards his mouth.
Accompanied by a shrill scream, the thug instantly fell backward, bl00d gushing from his mouth like a spring and splattering onto Gu Aoyu’s face. Several bloodied teeth flew out with the heavy blow, clattering onto the ground.
Gu Aoyu gave a mocking laugh, wiped the bl00d from her face in disgust, and rushed towards them, swinging the bl00d-stained iron rod.
The Little Blue Orb watched the battle intently in the sea of consciousness. The alley was narrow, and the thugs were tall and strong, so there was no way to dodge much.
Gu Aoyu, however, intended to beat them into a pulp and did not attempt to run at all. The Little Blue Orb’s assistance could only help Gu Aoyu predict the thugs’ next direction of attack as much as possible; it couldn’t help her avoid damage.
Perhaps it wasn’t that it couldn’t, but Gu Aoyu fought extremely fiercely. She disregarded some of the warnings in her mind, not bothering to dodge at all. She would often take the assault on one side just to leave the person on the other side bruised and swollen.
She didn’t care if she got new injuries; she only wanted to see them fall beneath her.
After a few rounds, both sides were injured. The thugs watched the steadily approaching Gu Aoyu warily, subconsciously retreating a few steps, their hands gripping the rods trembling.
Gu Aoyu let the iron rod droop to the ground, dragging it to leave a bloody trail on the pavement. Zzzzzz, the harsh sound of metal scraping against the ground inexplicably gave people goosebumps. Several patches of dark, sticky bl00d clung to her body. She had a cold face as she swung the rod toward a thug’s head again.
“Aaargh!” The thugs who had been blocking Gu Aoyu fell one after another, clutching their wounds and wailing.
Seeing the disadvantageous situation, the Male Lead, hiding behind the leader, shrank his neck and urgently advised the frowning leader who was watching from the side:
“Boss, don’t wait, let’s all go at her. Otherwise, we’ll all be beaten by her. She’s completely insane, the kind who doesn’t care about her life when fighting. She was always like this at school, one against many, trading injuries for injuries, beating us up until…”
“Shut up.” Under the force of a slap, the Male Lead turned his head in disbelief, a trace of bl00d oozing from the corner of his mouth. He silently lowered his eyes, concealing the vicious resentment lurking within.
The leader took a sharp knife from his pocket and roared, “A bunch of useless trash! You can’t even beat a girl, and you need me to step in personally. This is a total disgrace! I’ll deal with you lot after I finish her off.”
A burly thug, wielding an iron rod, struck at Gu Aoyu like a venomous snake. Gu Aoyu immediately dodged to the side, taking the opportunity to knock the weapon out of his hand.
The iron rod clattered to the ground, and the sharp knife immediately slashed toward the arm holding her weapon. Gu Aoyu tried to turn the iron rod back to defend, but it was already too late, and bl00d instantly gushed out.
She clutched her wound and took a step back.
The leader gave a sinister laugh, dipped his finger into the bl00d on the blade, and licked it.
“What a marvelous taste.” With a wave of his right hand, the thugs who were still able to stand rushed at Gu Aoyu along with the leader.
After several coordinated attacks, Gu Aoyu had a few more bloody wounds. She coldly curled her lips—you are dead.
Facing the surging enemies with increased morale, Gu Aoyu advanced instead of retreating. After a horizontal sweep forced a group back, the sharp blade cut toward her face. She looked up and accurately grabbed the knife.
As her fingertips collided with the blade, sparks flew, and bl00d flowed freely, instantly staining the blade red.
She acted as if she felt nothing, not retreating in the slightest. Her right hand gripped the knife tightly, and her left hand fiercely stabbed the iron rod into the leader’s lower body. She stabbed him repeatedly, causing the knife in the leader’s hand to drop. He cried out in pain, covering the injured area and retreating a few steps.
He stared in disbelief at Gu Aoyu, who pulled out the knife as if nothing had happened.
“Psycho! You are a complete psycho! A life-sacrificing maniac!”
Gu Aoyu felt dizzy from excessive bl00d loss, but she didn’t care, replying coldly with bloodshot eyes, “It doesn’t matter if I get hurt. As long as you are neutered, I’ll be happy.”
“You bastard, hurry up and come pay respects to your Grandma!” Gu Aoyu beckoned to him, making a few sounds like she was calling a dog.
“A scholar would rather die than be insulted! I’ll fight you!” The leader’s eyes were wide with fury, his face flushed like a monkey’s butt. Unable to bear the humiliation, he charged at Gu Aoyu again.
“Host, Host, although the system has shielded most of your pain perception, according to system monitoring, your current condition is not good. You cannot continue this. You should seek medical attention immediately to prevent irreparable damage.”
The Little Blue Orb anxiously calculated a series of data in her mind. Deep red alarms flashed in the unstable sea of consciousness.
Gu Aoyu pursed her lips, giving a fierce look at the constantly bleeding wound on her right hand.
The bloodshot eyes reflected the savage, bloody face of the thug in front of her, followed by a surge of brutal rage. A weak, tearful face flashed inexplicably through her mind.
She had to thoroughly subdue these vicious people, or they would really retaliate against Xu Luxi.
She was used to fighting; she would be fine after a few months of rest at most. Xu Luxi’s small body would probably be unable to study for several months if she took a knife hit.
The cold, upward curve of Gu Aoyu’s lips softened a little, and her bloodshot eyes gradually cleared. She tightly gripped the iron rod with her left hand, just about to charge forward and beat them up again.
Several piercing police sirens lingered in everyone’s ears, instantly surrounding the entire alley.
A short-haired policewoman in uniform led several officers to rush in, completely surrounding the exit of the alley. She glanced at the chaotic scene, stood in front of Gu Aoyu, and shouted loudly, “Police! Everyone put your hands on your heads and squat down!”
The leader cautiously looked at the upright policewoman who had taken out her police ID. The dim streetlamp couldn’t hide her shining uniform. He raised his hands, slowly squatted down, and covered his head. The surrounding thugs, seeing their boss do this, immediately surrendered their weapons and squatted down together.
The Male Lead, seeing the situation was bad, hid behind a strong thug, squatted down, and cautiously crawled towards the exit. Before he could move a few steps, the policewoman rushed forward in a quick stride, lifted her long leg, and accurately swept the Male Lead’s ankle.
Caught off guard, the Male Lead fell forward with a thud. The policewoman seized the opportunity to press down, firmly planting her knee on the Male Lead’s back, and quickly twisted the Male Lead’s wrist. With a krakh, she handcuffed him.
Seeing this, the surrounding thugs shrank their necks, and any lingering thoughts of resistance immediately vanished.
“Take everyone in.”
The thugs lined up, covering their heads, and obediently walked out under police escort.
Xu Luxi, having been allowed to enter, ran in, her eyes red as she looked at Gu Aoyu, who was covered in bl00d and had no clean spot on her body, and asked in a trembling voice, “Aoyu… are you okay?”
Gu Aoyu snapped back to attention, about to stylishly wipe the bl00d from her face and tell Xu Luxi she wasn’t hurt.
In that instant, her entire body felt engulfed in a raging fire, the searing heat stimulating her bone marrow and rushing to her head. The pain made Gu Aoyu’s already pale face even whiter, and cold sweat streamed down her forehead.
She tremblingly wiped away the beads of sweat, mumbled a few curses.
Hiss, it hurts so much.
That damned Little Blue Orb suddenly brought the pain perception back.
The Little Blue Orb felt a little satisfied seeing Gu Aoyu follow the police, shaking uncontrollably, with Xu Luxi’s support.
Serves you right! I should never have adjusted your pain perception to fuel your bad habits. You deserve to feel the pain fully to learn a lesson, so you don’t fight like you don’t care about your life all day long.
