The CEO Wants to Flirt with You (GL) - Chapter 1
Chapter 1
The clock struck ten, and Chu Yanqing arrived at a leisurely pace, a signature lazy and captivating smile on her face. She was a stark contrast to her humorless, expressionless secretary, Ji Yan, who followed her every move.
Chu Yanqing, the second daughter of the Chu family and the CEO of Shengjin Entertainment, was twenty-four years old. She had long, light-brown hair, a tall figure, and beautiful, fair skin. Her face was exquisite and stunning, making her look like an elegant socialite. In reality, she was an aimless, good-for-nothing heiress.
Ma Xinghua, the HR manager, had been waiting for Chu Yanqing at the door of the CEO’s office for a long time. Dressed in a pure white business shirt, straight black trousers, and shiny black leather shoes, his droopy expression instantly vanished when he saw the CEO. A fawning smile replaced it, and he enthusiastically went to greet her.
He flattered her, saying, “CEO Chu, why are you here so early today?” He walked sideways beside Chu Yanqing, keeping pace with her as they headed to the office. “The secretary you hired yesterday has arrived and is waiting at the HR department. Should I bring her up now?”
Chu Yanqing had been in charge of the entertainment company for almost six months. She hadn’t achieved anything. Instead, she had made the already chaotic company even more disorganized. But she didn’t care. If this small company went bankrupt, so be it. The Chu family’s wealth and resources didn’t depend on this little company. If it went under, she would just return to the group’s headquarters!
In the past six months, she had flirted with all the women she could at the company and had grown bored. She then asked Manager Ma to hire another secretary for her, even though the company… didn’t need one.
After she gave the order, Manager Ma found a large number of secretary candidates in just one day. Holding a thick stack of resumes, he delivered them to her office with an excited expression, like a eunuch presenting portraits of concubines.
Chu Yanqing flipped through the resumes, finding that each of the secretaries was as beautiful as a flower. She raised an eyebrow and, like an emperor choosing a concubine, casually picked a resume and handed it to Manager Ma. “Her.”
The second secretary was chosen in such a simple and crude manner.
Chu Yanqing glanced at Ji Yan behind her, seeing her unchanging poker face. She turned back to Ma Xinghua and said, “Mm, have her come up.”
“Alright! I’ll go get her right away!” Ma Xinghua shouted like a eunuch and turned to take the elevator down to get the person.
The spacious and bright CEO’s office was luxuriously furnished, like a palace. As a rich second-generation, Chu Yanqing could make do with anything, except for the decor in her room. If it looked like a normal CEO’s office, how could it reflect her status as a little princess?
In the center of the office was a custom-made set of European-style solid wood leather sofas, with patterns hand-carved by a master carpenter. The floor was covered with a hand-woven New Zealand pure wool rug. She used a handcrafted pear wood desk and sat on an imported Italian brown leather boss chair. Against the wall, there was a pure white, modern-style storage cabinet, filled entirely with wine.
Wine was essential for flirting with women!
Chu Yanqing closed her eyes, her hands on the armrests, leaning back in the boss chair and thinking about what kind of wine she should drink later when Ma Xinghua brought the new secretary in.
The office door was open. Ma Xinghua stood at the entrance, knocked on the door, and smiled as he called out, “CEO Chu~” After hearing a “come in,” he led the new secretary into the office.
Chu Yanqing lazily opened her eyes. Her amber-colored eyes sized up the new secretary from head to toe: shoulder-length, slightly curly, light golden hair, a charming and pretty face, delicate features, and a slightly formal, fitted business suit. The suit outlined the new secretary’s attractive curves—her chest was an estimated C-cup or above. She wore a black skirt that reached her knees and orange Roman sandals on her long legs.
Not bad…
Seeing the satisfied look in CEO Chu’s eyes, Ma Xinghua smiled and said, “CEO Chu, this is your new secretary. Her name is Duan Xiaoman. I’ll leave her here for you to arrange.” He bowed to Chu Yanqing and quickly floated out of the office like a gust of wind. Before leaving, he thoughtfully closed the door for her.
As soon as Manager Ma left, Duan Xiaoman felt a little timid. “CEO Chu, you… hello, my name is Duan Xiaoman. I’m your new secretary. You can call me Xiaoman or Manman.” While Chu Yanqing was observing her, she secretly glanced at the CEO.
She had heard that CEO Chu liked women. In her perception, a woman who liked women should be very handsome and manly, but CEO Chu looked so feminine. How could she possibly like women?
As she was lost in thought, she suddenly heard a crisp and melodious voice: “Xiaoman…” She snapped back to reality and saw CEO Chu with her hands clasped under her chin, a slight curve on her lips, looking at her with an expression that suggested she was about to make a move.
As time passed, CEO Chu’s gaze became even more intense and fiery. Her eyes were like X-ray vision, seeing through her completely. They were also like a pair of hands, wanting to strip her bare.
Duan Xiaoman felt nervous.
Oh my goodness, did CEO Chu fall in love with her at first sight?! Was she about to fly to a higher branch and become a phoenix before she even had a chance to climb the ranks?
Thinking this, her heart began to beat faster and faster. Just two minutes felt as long as a century. Duan Xiaoman looked nervously at Chu Yanqing. “CEO Chu, I… is there anything I need to do?” The way she said it had a hint of asking to be taken advantage of.
Chu Yanqing let out a chuckle. She had heard the tremor in Duan Xiaoman’s voice clearly. She winked ambiguously at Duan Xiaoman, placed her hands on the desk, and said, “Go make me a cup of coffee.” She then grabbed the documents on the table and started flipping through them.
After only two pages, she was cursing in her mind. What a mess. She didn’t want to manage this company at all! It should just go bankrupt and get liquidated!
Duan Xiaoman looked at the CEO, who was frowning and reading the documents with her head down. Didn’t they say CEO Chu was aimless? Why was she reading the documents so seriously? Before she came up, Manager Ma had warned her to be careful of CEO Chu, not to be taken advantage of, and told her that CEO Chu generally didn’t do any serious work in the office.
How was this completely different from what Manager Ma said?!
Duan Xiaoman touched her face and then looked down at her chest. She was pretty and had a big chest. If CEO Chu liked women, it made no sense for her not to flirt with a beauty like herself.
Chu Yanqing suppressed the urge to tear up the documents and flipped through two more pages. She looked up and saw that Duan Xiaoman was still standing there foolishly in front of the desk. Her frown hadn’t relaxed. “Why aren’t you going yet?”
Remembering that she was new, Chu Yanqing added, “The person sitting outside the office door is named Ji Yan. She’s the other secretary. If you don’t know anything, you can go ask her.”
“Ah, yes, CEO Chu. Thank you, CEO Chu. I’ll go make your coffee now!” Duan Xiaoman was a little flustered. The CEO hadn’t even flirted with her yet, and she was already fantasizing about it.
Looking at Duan Xiaoman’s back, and thinking about her foolish demeanor, then looking at the pile of a mess in her hands, Chu Yanqing instantly lost all interest in teasing Duan Xiaoman. She glanced at the documents. She really couldn’t read them anymore. She closed the folder and tossed it aside, then opened her laptop to browse Weibo.
She scrolled through the trending topics and found not a single one was about an artist from her company. She recalled how she had spent money to hire a marketing team to promote the female artists in her company and even bought trending topics. But what was the result? The trending topics she bought were only at the top for half an hour before being buried by artists from other companies.
Artists from other companies could post a simple emoji and their fans would push it to the top. Her company’s artists could post a selfie showing their cleavage, and the comments wouldn’t even break a hundred. The zombie fans she bought only reposted and never commented. Alas, they were all hopeless!
Chu Yanqing had given up on this company. She was just waiting for her dad to have a change of heart and decide to give up on this broken company so she could go back to the headquarters and live a life of comfort.
She looked up at the door. Was this new secretary off planting coffee beans? Why was she taking so long to come back?!
In the quiet office, she was alone. Chu Yanqing frowned and called out toward the door, “Ji Yan!” But she waited for a long time and got no response.
Did Ji Yan go to plant coffee beans with Duan Xiaoman, too?
She got up and walked around the desk just as Duan Xiaoman walked in, smiling and holding a cup of coffee. “CEO Chu, the coffee is ready~” Her steps didn’t stop as she continued to walk toward Chu Yanqing.
A flash of cunning in Duan Xiaoman’s eyes made Chu Yanqing’s heart drop, as if she had an inkling of what was about to happen. If there was one thing about a woman she could always rely on, it was her sixth sense. Sure enough, before that uneasy feeling had a chance to fade, Duan Xiaoman spilled a cup of coffee all over her.
She didn’t feel the scalding heat she had imagined, but instead felt a soft sensation. Duan Xiaoman, who was clinging to Chu Yanqing’s chest, let out a cry of “Oh!” which drew the attention of Ji Yan, who was sitting at the door. Ji Yan stood at the entrance with a blank expression, saw Duan Xiaoman in CEO Chu’s arms, and indifferently blinked before turning and sitting back down.
She knew all about CEO Chu’s tricks. She was flirting with a girl again! But this time, it wasn’t CEO Chu who made the first move. The new secretary did!
Duan Xiaoman wanted to lean in Chu Yanqing’s arms a little longer to gain some favor, but she was mercilessly pushed away by Chu Yanqing.
Duan Xiaoman stood up straight, tears in her eyes, and said apologetically, “CEO Chu, I’m so sorry. I didn’t mean to spill the coffee on you. I accidentally twisted my ankle…”
In truth, she did it on purpose! She had watched countless dramas where a CEO falls for a person. The best way to get a CEO’s attention was to act like an innocent, silly, and sweet girl, then spill coffee or red wine on the CEO, and finally fall into their arms! Since the CEO wasn’t flirting with her, she would take the initiative to win over the CEO!
Duan Xiaoman had it all figured out. It was better to marry well than to have a good career. By becoming the CEO’s woman, she would fly to a higher branch and become a phoenix, then live a life of luxury and be a rich wife who didn’t have to do anything!
Even though… CEO Chu was a woman.
Chu Yanqing frowned, glanced at the apologetic Duan Xiaoman, and then looked down at the stain on her chest. Thinking about the documents that had just arrived, she felt even more annoyed.
As if she had just thought of something, she looked up at Duan Xiaoman, lifted her chin, and said, “Were you trying to get my attention on purpose?” Her index finger gently rubbed against her skin, a hint of provocation in her tone.
Heh, trying to flirt with her? She should have done her research in this company. Chu Yanqing was a master at flirting. What kind of trick hadn’t she seen? Was she using a honey trap before Chu Yanqing had even made a move?
Duan Xiaoman continued to dream of becoming a phoenix. She acted like an innocent, pitiful white lotus, biting her lip and shyly gazing at the CEO.
I’m such a simple, unpretentious, and a little stupid girl. CEO Chu, you must be head over heels for me! In the days to come, you’ll love me uncontrollably and buy me houses, cars, and bags!
Chu Yanqing smirked. In this company, she was the only one who did the flirting. How could she let someone else flirt with her?
Just as she was about to speak, a cold and unfamiliar voice suddenly came from the doorway. “Heh, the company is in this state, and CEO Chu is still in the office playing with women?” While Ji Yan was also cold, the temperature in this voice was even three degrees colder than that poker face. Not only was it cold, but it was also full of mockery!
Who was so bold?!
Chu Yanqing turned to look at the doorway, her eyes freezing. The person was tall and slender, with a delicate and refined face and clear eyes that were cold and aloof. The corners of her mouth were slightly curved, but there was no warmth in her smile. Instead, it was bone-chillingly cold.
She let go of Duan Xiaoman and asked in confusion, “Who are you?” Who was this woman?! Why did Ji Yan let her in without announcing her?
Gu Ying glanced at the pitiful Duan Xiaoman and said coldly, “CEO Chu, long time no see.”
“Long time no see?”
Chu Yanqing looked at Gu Ying in confusion, repeatedly trying to recall in her mind, but she couldn’t remember who this woman was or when she had met her.
What a line—”long time no see”! Why couldn’t she just say her name?!
Just as Chu Yanqing was about to get angry, Gu Ying coldly answered her question: “Gu Ying.”
Gu Ying. She was familiar with that name. It meant arrogance and self-pride.
But she had no impression of this cold and distant Gu Ying in front of her!
Well, her name certainly fit her personality…
Gu Ying’s eyes were as cold as ice. She looked at Chu Yanqing and said, “I’m the new public relations manager sent by the Chu Group to Shengjin.” She walked toward Chu Yanqing with an imposing presence.
New public relations manager? Did our company need a new public relations manager? She was just waiting for Shengjin to go bankrupt so she could go back to the headquarters! Why would they need a PR manager?!
She scanned Gu Ying from head to toe. Did my dad think he could make Shengjin survive with this woman? She can’t even smile warmly. How could she be a good PR manager?!
Duan Xiaoman, who had been completely ignored by the two, looked back and forth between the CEO and the new PR manager. She took a breath and called out sweetly, “CEO Chu…”
