The Chronicles of the Man Who Became a God and Did Whatever He Wanted - Chapter 41
“Whoa, to think I’d end up fighting a monster straight out of a tokusatsu film… truly, gods can do anything.” (Note: Tokusatsu means special effects films. Godzilla, and other kaiju films are under this umbrella.)
As I flew through the sky to fight the dragon, I muttered that to myself.
Fighting the dragon to overcome my lack of exercise… well, that’s half a joke. The actual reason is to show the rebels I’m a god.
Everyone believed that Walsh wasn’t a god after Tyran’s speech, but when I say I’m a god, people are mostly skeptical. The revolutionaries exist because of their leader Tyran, and they don’t need a god. That’s why I need to crush this dragon and show them my overwhelming power.
“So, you’re going to be the sacrifice, right? Dragon.”
I stopped at the dragon’s eye level. It seemed to notice and turned its gaze toward me.
[Who are you…?]
“Whoa, it can speak!?”
It can talk? Now that’s fantasy for you.
[I can sense immense power from your small form. I ask again, who are you?]
“Me? I am a god.”
[God?]
“Yeah, that’s right.”
[It’s been a long time since someone claimed to be a god.]
The dragon laughed at me, which really pissed me off.
[But to claim to be a god with such a frail human body is foolish. Leave my presence.]
“Huh? The one who’s going to disappear is you.”
[…Weak little being. Know your place!]
The dragon swung its arm down to crush me. It’s huge, and I don’t know what would happen if it hit me, so…
“Disappear.”
I fired a beam, just like when I killed the pig earlier, and the dragon’s arm was completely blown apart, not to ashes but literally obliterated, the cross-section looking as if it had been cleanly cut.
It seemed like the beam hit the wings on its back too, half of them were blown off. Now it shouldn’t be able to fly.
[GRAAAAAAARGH!?]
The dragon shrieked in agony, it was annoying.
[You, you bastard!!]
The dragon’s mouth is glowing. Is it about to shoot a beam? Hmm… I could dodge, but the revolutionary army is behind me. Guess I’ll just block it.
[DIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!]
“Here you go!”
I quickly set up a barrier to block it. The dragon’s beam was stopped by the barrier… but wait, huh?
[GYAaaaaaaaaAAAAAH!?]
Looks like I deflected it. Well, it saved me the effort of attacking, so whatever.
The reflected beam pierced the dragon’s left chest, its heart… though I don’t know if the dragon’s heart is actually on the left, but a big hole opened in its chest for sure.
[I… I can’t believe this…]
The dragon slowly fell down, but it was so huge that the ground shook violently. I wonder if the revolutionaries are okay.
[W-What… who the hell are you…?]
“I already told you, I’m a god.”
[I thought you were just a fool drunk on power… but… you were truly a god…]
Saying that, the dragon died.
Hmm~ it wasn’t that strong. Or maybe I’m just too strong.
“A dragon, huh? In games, they’re often used as materials for weapons and such. I wonder if I can use it for something… oh, wait.”
Maybe I should try an experiment with this. If it works, it could be really interesting.
“I’ll take some of the materials, and the rest can go to Tyran.”
One of its scales is about the size of a shield. If I process it, it could strengthen the revolutionary army’s forces.

When I returned, the entire revolutionary army bowed down to me, as if they finally understood the true nature of my existence.
There were some who feared me because I was too strong, but it seems Tyran convinced them in his speech that I am the one to lead the revolutionaries.
Thanks to that, my faith levels are increasing rapidly. At this rate, I’ll reach my quota without doing anything. Dragon, your sacrifice wasn’t in vain.
I left the rest to Tyran and returned to the God’s Castle.
As soon as I entered, Shirley came rubbing up against me, looking cute like a little puppy. But I can’t play right now, so go over there.
I somehow felt guilty seeing Shirley walk away looking disappointed, but it’s fine, I’ll play with her later.
“Alright, let’s begin.”
It’s time to begin the experiment using the dragon materials I collected.
I’m using God Search to look things up while working. It might be a little hard, but I should be fine.
“Alright then, time to create my little dragon~”
I began creating new life in a way that would make mythological gods proud.
