The Cold Goddess Always Wants to Turn Me Gay (GL) - Chapter 1
Yu Xinxin stood by the glass wall of the waiting area, watching the plane carrying her girlfriend taxi toward the runway. She stayed there, eyes locked on the ascending aircraft until it became nothing more than a tiny black dot swallowed by the clouds.
The memory of her face before she turned away lingered — calm, cool, just like the first time they met. She had looked at her with soft eyes and a gentle smile, saying, “Eat on time. No drinking.”
Yu Xinxin had smiled back.
“Okay. Wait for me to come back.”
Plain, simple words — as if she were only going away for a few days.
She had tiptoed up and pressed a light kiss on her lips. For a fleeting second, that cool façade melted into a tender smile. She gave her a long, lingering look, then turned and walked away. No dramatic goodbyes. No promises of forever. She simply… left.
Yu Xinxin couldn’t tell what she was feeling. Empty, yet somehow full. As if something precious had been taken, and yet something new had been planted deep inside her heart.
When she returned home, the familiar space felt unfamiliar. Everything around her blurred slightly. Maybe she was just tired. She showered, slipped into bed, and thought she would sleep it off.
But then, a faint, cool fragrance floated to her nose — her scent. Like a clear spring hidden beneath a cold moonlit night, pure and chilling. Just like her. A cool exterior wrapped around a burning heart.
Thinking of last night, Yu Xinxin’s cheeks flushed. She dove under the covers, trying to hide her face.
She had prepared a table full of food for her farewell. They laughed, teased each other about the broken kitchen vent they still hadn’t replaced.
After dinner, they cleaned up and curled together on the couch. The soft light of the living room wrapped them in a cozy glow, so warm, so tender, stark against the darkness beyond the windows.
Yu Xinxin had pulled out a gift — a square velvet box, its bright flamingo color as fierce as their love.
But just as she lifted it, she noticed — her girlfriend had pulled out a box too, identical to hers.
They both froze for a moment, then shared a helpless smile. Wordlessly, they opened their boxes together.
Inside were two simple rings. Not expensive, but uniquely designed — something they had dreamed up together, planning to use them one day at their wedding. They hadn’t expected the day would come early.
Yu Xinxin looked into her clear, steady eyes. Eyes that hid endless tenderness behind their cool sheen. Her heart trembled.
“Wei Zhi, will you be my wife?” she asked, voice soft and coaxing.
Wei Zhi’s answer came without hesitation.
“I will.”
Yu Xinxin reached out and cupped her face. Her skin was so soft, so flawless, she almost seemed unreal. Unable to resist, she leaned up and kissed her forehead. Wei Zhi bent down slightly to meet her halfway, long lashes quivering.
Yu Xinxin tilted her chin upward. Her usually calm eyes now burned hot, like red plum blossoms blooming defiantly in a frozen winter — a beauty no one else could see. Bewitched, Yu Xinxin kissed her again.
She gently captured her lips — cool, soft, and intoxicating, like the finest wine. Even if a bottomless abyss awaited her, she would gladly fall for her.
The faint scent wrapped around her. Yu Xinxin breathed it in deeply, heart full. She lifted Wei Zhi’s hand and slid the ring onto her finger.
“Wei Zhi, I love you,” she whispered against her lips, her voice thick with emotion.
Wei Zhi looked at her — devout, mesmerized. To her, Yu Xinxin was her goddess. Her greatest love.
Yu Xinxin’s hand slid down her delicate neck, fingertips savoring the cool, silky skin. When she saw the faint blush on Wei Zhi’s cheeks, she smiled and glanced at the still-unoffered ring.
“Don’t you have something you want to say to me?” she teased.
Wei Zhi’s eyes flashed with panic. Quickly, she picked up the ring, held Yu Xinxin’s hand reverently, and said, “Will you marry me?”
Tears welled in Yu Xinxin’s eyes. Those dazzling galaxy-like eyes sparkled even brighter as she nodded.
“I will.”
Wei Zhi slipped the ring onto her finger, then kissed it gently. Her careful, trembling kiss softened Yu Xinxin’s entire heart.
Wei Zhi admired the matching rings on their hands. From this moment, the girl before her was her wife. Her one and only. They would grow old together. Share all the landscapes of life together. She would protect her, cherish her, never leave her side.
She raised her hand and wiped the tears from Yu Xinxin’s cheeks, scolding lightly, “Why are you crying, silly?”
But even as she said it, her own voice caught.
They laughed, eyes filled with an endless, overwhelming love. Wei Zhi wrapped her arms around Yu Xinxin’s waist, pulling her close, and slowly leaned down.
Yu Xinxin, face flushed, obediently closed her eyes.
Their lips met in a tender, sweet kiss. Wei Zhi’s breath grew hotter, her movements more desperate. She tasted the sweetness of the girl in her arms and couldn’t get enough. Their kiss deepened, tangled, until Yu Xinxin melted completely against her.
The atmosphere grew heavy with heat and longing. Neither wanted to pull away.
Finally, Wei Zhi broke the kiss, a thin, silvery thread still connecting them. Her chest heaved gently as her misty eyes slowly cleared. She rested her forehead against Yu Xinxin’s and whispered,
“I’ll go shower.”
“Mm,” Yu Xinxin murmured, her voice soft and dazed.
Wei Zhi smiled, reluctantly letting go, and rose to her feet.
The sound of running water soon filled the air.
Yu Xinxin lay there, her heart racing, her mind wandering. Steam. Water. The image of Wei Zhi’s elegant body, half-shrouded in mist, flooded her mind. Her throat tightened, and she swallowed hard.
Seconds stretched into minutes. She shook her head fiercely and turned up the TV volume until it drowned out the sound of the shower.
In the bathroom, Wei Zhi heard the sudden blare of the TV and chuckled to herself.
Coward.
She showered quickly. Before long, she stepped out, towel in hand, drying her damp hair. When she saw Yu Xinxin sitting stiffly on the sofa, her face bright red, she chuckled.
“I’m done,” she said, a teasing smile curling her lips.
Yu Xinxin stared, unable to look away. The misty heat clung to Wei Zhi’s skin, making it glow. Her wet lashes, her flushed cheeks, her dewy eyes…
Yu Xinxin swallowed hard, trying to act calm.
“Oh,” she managed.
Wei Zhi walked closer, slowly, until she was right beside her. She leaned down and whispered, voice low and dangerous, “What are you spacing out for? Go shower.”
Then, in a voice softer, more seductive, “Or… do you want me to start right now?”
