Story Summary:
Zuo Xingning seemed to possess a natural aura of chaos and controversy. As one of only two artists at her agency, she was most often criticized as a “bloodsucker” after her debut.
The one being drained was Chu Shiyin, the agency’s owner, a top-tier celebrity, and an award-winning actress.
And Zuo Xingning herself was indeed a true vampire.
Unfortunately, she was a vampire destined to never have a proper meal.
Because living in the adjacent room, separated by only a wall, was her bonded.
Every night, she could smell the intoxicating scent of “food” and “mate” wafting from that room.
But a bonded could never become food!
The more Zuo Xingning thought about it, the angrier and more aggrieved she felt. She threw back the covers, ran next door, and planted a kiss on the sleeping figure.
Chu Shiyin didn’t open her eyes. She groped for Zuo Xingning and pulled her into her arms, her voice still drowsy. “What’s wrong?”
“Nothing,” Zuo Xingning mumbled, expertly adjusting her position to latch onto Chu Shiyin’s collarbone. “Just hungry.”
If she couldn’t have a proper meal, she’d at least have plenty of snacks.
Chu Shiyin disliked trouble, and Zuo Xingning was clearly a major headache—
With an unclear background and nowhere to go, she was practically a childish adult who had run away from home.
Yet this childish adult possessed an exceptionally striking face, catching the eye of Chu Shiyin’s manager, who signed her on the spot.
The childish adult transformed into an artist under Chu Shiyin’s management.
Since the agency had no accommodation for Zuo Xingning, Chu Shiyin had to temporarily bring her home.
Having a roommate wasn’t terrible, but Chu Shiyin hadn’t expected Zuo Xingning, despite her slender frame, to have such an insatiable appetite. No matter how much she ate, she always looked ravenous. At such times, she would blink her eyes with a pitiful expression, trailing behind Chu Shiyin like a little tail, as if clinging to her could quell her hunger.
Chu Shiyin figured Zuo Xingning must see her as some kind of emotional anchor.
With no other choice, she indulged her, allowing the little tail to grow increasingly bold.
They had kissed, they had eaten together, but the next morning, the little tail seemed to snap out of a daze, rejecting the ring Chu Shiyin offered and declaring she was going to find another little princess.
Little princess?
Chu Shiyin scoffed, her slender fingers tracing the sudden emergence of sharp fangs on Zuo Xingning’s gums.
Whether she’s a little vampire or something else entirely, what Chu Shiyin wants, she gets.
