The Consequences of Provoking a Crazy Beauty (GL) - Chapter 3
Huo Junxian only took one apple; Gu Siyu kept the other for herself. She washed and wiped the water off its skin, then took a bite.
Tonight’s apple was exceptionally sweet. Eating it, she went to the balcony and looked up. The upstairs lights were off; it was so dark, she wondered what Huo Junxian was doing.
The summer night was filled with glittering stars. A crescent moon cast beams of white light. The cicadas in the woods hadn’t stopped their chaotic chirping, and the leaves rustled sparsely. Later, a breeze picked up, making the surroundings less hot.
Just as Gu Siyu was about to go inside, the light upstairs came on, a dim glow. She carefully pinpointed the location—it seemed to be the bathroom light. Gu Siyu took the last bite of her apple and returned to her room; she needed a shower too.

For the next week, Huo Junxian continued to go to the backyard every day, and the neighbor still didn’t appear. Huo Junxian hadn’t cried again after that initial time. Each time she sat there stroking the dog, the little poodle looked very sad, and when she coaxed it, the poodle only gave muffled barks.
The poodle didn’t have a human brain. It was always excited to go out, running eagerly, but then became gloomy once they arrived.
Honestly, even the dog knew it was unhappy, so why didn’t Huo Junxian? Why did she persist? She couldn’t be as foolish as a dog, could she?
Was Huo Junxian really so devoted?
Those who appear cold and aloof are often the most devoted and passionate inside.
It truly made one’s heart ache.
One time, Huo Junxian was sitting under the tree, holding the poodle, when it jumped out of her arms. Huo Junxian reached for the leash, but the poodle kept running ahead.
Gu Siyu, standing upstairs, called out, “Hey, Huo Junxian.”
Huo Junxian looked up at her in a hurry, her eyes dry. That exquisite face held a deep melancholy, and after looking at Gu Siyu, her eyelids lowered.
“I’ll play with you,” Gu Siyu said.
Her voice was softer, lacking the recklessness of her previous call. Gu Siyu showed full sincerity, once again jumping down from above.
It was a quick descent. She didn’t make Huo Junxian wait a moment, quickly sitting beside her. She gazed at Huo Junxian, whose expression was indifferent, still treating her like air. This greatly displeased Gu Siyu.
Gu Siyu walked to the middle of the lawn and called the poodle. She couldn’t bring herself to say “Xiao Yu,” so she clapped her hands at the poodle and said, “Come here, silly dog.”
The little poodle turned its head to look at her. Gu Siyu pulled a small red rubber ball from her pocket. The poodle’s eyes lit up, and it turned and pounced towards her.
Gu Siyu tossed the small ball around. When the poodle came near, she immediately threw it forward. The poodle instantly dashed to catch the ball, then bit it and ran back. Gu Siyu reached out to take it, but the poodle made a sharp turn and ran to Huo Junxian, looking up and barking, its ears twitching, trying to please its owner and earn praise.
Huo Junxian took the ball from its mouth, stroked its head, and said softly, “Wow, our Xiao Yu is so good.”
She then threw the ball forward again. The little poodle raced to retrieve it, and Gu Siyu also ran with the poodle, competing with the little white furball.
Back and forth, Gu Siyu simply couldn’t win against the little poodle.
The little poodle rolled around on the ground excitedly.
One time, Gu Siyu managed to get the ball. She held it in her palm, tossing it up and down, winking at Huo Junxian, thinking to herself, “Now she should talk to me.”
She didn’t mind being called “Xiao Yu.”
However, she still heard nothing, only the little poodle barking fiercely at her.
How pathetic.
Gu Siyu sighed. Huo Junxian frowned slightly nearby, and the little poodle immediately stopped being fierce. Gu Siyu was quite pleased. She provoked the poodle, saying, “See? Your owner is on my side.”
Seeing the little poodle wanting to get angry but not daring to, she felt quite satisfied. Jin Yuansen, that idiot, probably didn’t get this kind of treatment.
For two hours that afternoon, Gu Siyu spent her time with them.
When they had played enough and were walking back, Gu Siyu followed behind Huo Junxian. The little poodle lay on Huo Junxian’s shoulder, barking. Gu Siyu said, “It’s so hot. Don’t wait anymore from now on. Isn’t it fun playing with me, hmm?”
••••
Saturday afternoon at three, Huo Junxian didn’t go out.
Gu Siyu also decided not to go to the balcony; it was too sunny.
Oh, right.
Gu Siyu’s high heels were still upstairs. She needed to get them.
As she walked upstairs, Jin Yuansen came out of the study.
“What are you doing on the third floor?” Jin Yuansen looked at her, his gaze suspicious. He was naturally distrustful and, knowing Gu Siyu went to the third floor every day, would likely ask her why she wasn’t searching Huo Junxian’s room for assets.
“Getting my high heels,” Gu Siyu said.
“Huh?”
Gu Siyu said, “Yesterday when I went to the third floor, your wife suddenly came back. I had no choice but to jump down from the balcony.”
Jin Yuansen looked down at her feet, as if checking for injuries. This gaze was somewhat similar to how Huo Junxian looked at her; Huo Junxian also stared at her feet, but Jin Yuansen’s gaze was disgusting.
“Are you hurt?” Jin Yuansen asked with concern.
“I think I twisted it a little,” Gu Siyu said.
“You suffered.”
“Uh-huh.”
“Why didn’t you tell me?” Jin Yuansen’s tone was both concerned and reproachful.
“Didn’t steal anything, so why tell you?”
This reason was logical, and Jin Yuansen believed it. He nodded and said, “I’m going out later. I’ll buy you anything you want.”
Gu Siyu thought to herself: *I want money.*
She didn’t want gifts; money was best.
She thought for a moment. “Nothing for now. I’ll text you if I think of something. What time will you be back?”
“Depends. Might even be back tomorrow.”
“Alright.”
Gu Siyu went directly to the third floor, then came back down, carrying a pair of high heels. She didn’t put them on, walking barefoot downstairs to change into slippers.
Jin Yuansen stood beside her, glanced at the living room below, then looked at Gu Siyu, his expression as if to say, *You need to act quickly today too.*
“Got it,” Gu Siyu lazily brushed him off.
“She should be going out today too, remember…”
“Does your hand still hurt?” Gu Siyu asked, feigning concern, glancing at his still-bandaged hand. The little poodle suddenly darted out from somewhere, barking from the stairwell.
Jin Yuansen lowered his eyes, moving his hand back. “I’m leaving.”
“Come back late,” Gu Siyu waved to him.
Just now, when Gu Siyu was getting her shoes, she glanced down from the balcony. The woods were empty, nothing there. She felt very good about it, and her mood wasn’t affected by her short exchange with Jin Yuansen.
Huo Junxian stood in the living room for a while, then took a small watering can to water the plants by the entrance.
The little poodle intelligently brought a rubber hose to Huo Junxian. Gu Siyu squatted by the faucet and turned it on. Huo Junxian watered the plants with the hose, and the little poodle frolicked underneath, rolling around.
Gu Siyu had jumped from the balcony twice, both times landing barefoot. She wasn’t a superhero, so her feet couldn’t handle it. She walked to the backyard and sat on a lounge chair, flipping through a magazine with sunglasses on.
The latest summer fashion, models wearing them with captivating allure.
She glanced at them, found them uninteresting, then turned to watch Huo Junxian and the dog interact. Just then, Huo Junxian looked back at her, her gaze falling from Gu Siyu’s face to her feet.
The little poodle came over, biting a rubber ball. Huo Junxian was watering flowers and didn’t have time to play with it, so the little creature came to her instead.
“You’re a dog, I’m a dog,” Gu Siyu said proudly. “Why should I play with you when your owner won’t play with me?”
But the poodle didn’t understand what she meant and barked. Gu Siyu whispered, “Silly dog, I’m your owner’s simp.”
Saying this, she chuckled, laughing at how cheap she was.
When Huo Junxian walked past her, she changed her words again: “Loyal dog, I’m your owner’s loyal dog.”
After watering the flowers, Huo Junxian went inside. Gu Siyu found nothing interesting staying outside, so she followed.
Huo Junxian put away the hose and tossed a box at her.
French words were written on it, and a rose was drawn on the box. Gu Siyu didn’t recognize a single word. She scanned the text with her phone to translate it and found that it was for foot care: rose essential oil.
The box lay on the sofa. Huo Junxian held the poodle and sat at the other end, far away from Gu Siyu.
Gu Siyu put her legs on the ground, kicked off her slippers, lay back, and stretched her long legs out, reaching all the way to Huo Junxian’s knees at the other end. Then she kicked the climbing poodle off and took its spot.
“Rub my feet,” Gu Siyu said.
Her feet were fair, her toes rounded, and her big toe was painted with red nail polish. She pressed her foot against Huo Junxian’s leg.
The nail polish made her foot look exceptionally pink.
Even if one wasn’t a foot fetishist, they’d want to pinch it hard.
Huo Junxian pushed her leg away twice, but she stubbornly kept putting her leg on Huo Junxian’s, even gently squeezing her flesh.
“So heartless. I jumped twice for you,” Gu Siyu said, but Huo Junxian still didn’t move.
She sighed and started to pull her leg back, her tone very deliberate. Huo Junxian glanced at her. This time, she didn’t push her away; instead, she gripped her ankle.
Gu Siyu smirked triumphantly, her hands clasped behind her head.
Huo Junxian massaged her ankle a little. It hurt a bit, and Gu Siyu hissed. After that, Huo Junxian’s movements became noticeably much gentler.
She glanced at Huo Junxian. Huo Junxian was very quiet, like the moon reflecting in water, calmly settling in that shallow pool, undisturbed by anyone.
Huo Junxian first used a wet wipe to clean her ankle, the top of her foot, and her toes, gently kneading them. She served her so meticulously.
Essential oil was poured onto Gu Siyu’s foot, and then she massaged and rubbed it in. Huo Junxian’s slender fingers were so gentle. Gu Siyu groaned, feeling very comfortable.
The rose essential oil, when poured out, had a faint scent and felt cool on her foot. Huo Junxian’s hand moved from the top of her foot up to her calf.
That feeling wasn’t like applying essential oil; it was more like taking liberties. Gu Siyu squinted at Huo Junxian, only seeing Huo Junxian’s full bosom. *Hmm, if a married woman treats her like this, she’s willing to be taken advantage of.*
Gu Siyu closed her eyes. Huo Junxian’s massage was too comfortable, and she couldn’t help but fall asleep.
Drowsily, she felt her sole was wet.
It wasn’t the sensation of fingers kneading; it felt like kissing the top of her foot.
This woman—
Truly surprising.
Gu Siyu thought of Huo Junxian’s crying eyes.
Huo Junxian was the most humble and devoted woman she had ever seen.
Gu Siyu’s eyelashes fluttered, her eyelids opening to a slit. She vaguely saw Huo Junxian squatting beside the sofa.
It was very itchy.
Gu Siyu hummed. She pulled her leg back, her tone firm: “Alright, Huo Junxian.”
Huo Junxian acted as if she didn’t understand human speech, chasing after her.
She groggily opened her eyes. “Huo Junxian, let go… silly dog?”
Gu Siyu’s eyes widened. All she saw in front of her was the curly white poodle, squatting on the sofa, foolishly sticking out its tongue at her.
In the kitchen, Huo Junxian was holding a cleaver, cutting something with a loud thud, like it was knocking on Gu Siyu’s forehead.
“Go away, horny silly dog.”
Damn it, fvck.
The poodle was driven off the sofa, yelping a couple of times. Gu Siyu was so annoyed, and also embarrassed. She glumly picked up her shoes from the floor and put them on, suddenly hearing a very soft laugh. Gu Siyu looked in the direction of the sound.
Huo Junxian in the kitchen turned and looked at her, her eyes curved in a smile, her gaze saying: *Gu Siyu, you’re so interesting.*
Really?
Gu Siyu gritted her teeth. She walked directly into the kitchen. “Were you laughing at me just now?”
Huo Junxian still didn’t speak, not meeting her gaze.
Gu Siyu felt a bit hateful. She looked at Huo Junxian, her gaze falling on her narrow waist, and directly reached out to hug her. Huo Junxian visibly stiffened, freezing.
The more she reacted this way, the more Gu Siyu liked it. If a silly dog annoyed her, she’d bother its owner. “Why don’t you talk to me?”
Huo Junxian didn’t answer, but Gu Siyu felt her attitude softening towards her, no longer treating her like “air.”
Gu Siyu was not a good person and never knew when to stop. She escalated, tightening her grip, and deliberately asked, “Do you think I’ve been good these past two days?”
Huo Junxian twisted her body and began to struggle.
Gu Siyu tightened her hold. Hugging Huo Junxian felt exceptionally good. Her body was full, and she carried a fragrance, a rich, mature scent. Even ripe summer peaches weren’t so alluring. The scent made her want to squeeze her.
Gu Siyu inhaled the sweet fragrance, lowering her voice, “Your husband isn’t home tonight.” She perfectly embodied shamelessness and wickedness, resting her chin on Huo Junxian’s shoulder, looking at Huo Junxian’s face, and provocatively tracing her cheek, saying flirtatiously, “Your dog just did that to me. As its owner, you have to be responsible for me. You must let me kiss you back.”
After that, Huo Junxian said something to her.
It was the first sentence Gu Siyu had heard from Huo Junxian since she moved into this house.
Huo Junxian said, “Get lost.”

[Reviewers, please read carefully, it was the dog licking, not a person, not a person, don’t misunderstand.]

Gu Siyu: No way, no way, the more you struggle, the more excited I get.
Poodle: Woof?
