The Consequences of Provoking a Crazy Beauty (GL) - Chapter 4
The two words, “Get lost,” stunned Gu Siyu for a while.
She hadn’t expected Huo Junxian to actually speak to her. She felt that her recent flirtation with Huo Junxian had been quite shameless and brazen. A normal person would probably have slapped her and told her to get out.
She didn’t expect Huo Junxian to actually acknowledge her.
“Are you only swayed by this kind of approach?”
She looked at Huo Junxian again, but Huo Junxian didn’t reply. Huo Junxian lowered her head, chopping vegetables. Unable to use her arm, she simply lifted it and pushed Gu Siyu away.
It was very cold.
This made Gu Siyu somewhat doubt whether she had heard “get lost” or “go away.” There’s a big difference between those two phrases.
One carries disgust, while the other still holds back unspoken words.
“Huo Junxian,” she called out.
Huo Junxian didn’t respond.
Gu Siyu watched Huo Junxian prepare the dishes. She was very skilled when cooking, her knife rising and falling with steady intensity. But when arranging the food on plates, her movements were gentle, almost more cruel than giving a sweet date after a slap.
She quickly prepared the ingredients, ready to put them in the wok. Gu Siyu was annoying; not only did she watch Huo Junxian busy herself, but when she got hooked, she’d softly call her name.
During this, Huo Junxian needed to stir-fry, so she moved Gu Siyu’s hand away.
Gu Siyu stood in the doorway, completely in the way.
Huo Junxian was about to cook and needed to close the smoke-blocking door. Gu Siyu, also afraid of getting burned, retreated and sat on the sofa. The poodle came over, biting its red rubber ball and yelping at her, wanting her to play, but Gu Siyu didn’t have the patience, and was annoyed just looking at it.
It was all the poodle’s fault for licking her, causing her such a big embarrassment.
“Go away,” Gu Siyu said coldly.
The little poodle, oblivious, continued to bother her, tugging at her pant leg.
Saying this, Gu Siyu smiled again, *Go away?*
She looked towards the figure in the kitchen. Huo Junxian was making soup, gently stirring it with a ladle, wearing an extra red apron around her waist.
Honestly, if it were Huo Junxian, she could accept it. As she thought about it, Gu Siyu lightly bit her lip. *Too bad it’s this silly dog in front of me; just looking at this silly dog inexplicably fills me with anger.*
Since Jin Yuansen wasn’t home tonight, it would be a waste not to do something.
The poodle wandered around and barked again.
Gu Siyu pressed a finger to her lips, softly shushing it. “Quiet, I’m thinking.”
“Ow.” The poodle dropped the ball on the ground, pushing it back and forth with its little paws, consciously or unconsciously touching Gu Siyu’s feet, which made Gu Siyu even more eager.
••••
That evening, dinner was ready, and Huo Junxian placed it on the table.
In the few days Gu Siyu had been staying here, Huo Junxian had always prepared the meals, making enough for two. She made both breakfast and lunch. Every dish she made was exquisite; she wouldn’t shortchange anyone when it came to food.
Although Jin Yuansen always said Huo Junxian cooked dinner, tonight was the first time Gu Siyu had dinner here since she arrived. This was their first dinner together.
The dishes were plentiful: carrot stew, spare ribs, and fish. They were all visually appealing, aromatic, and flavorful. Gu Siyu held her chopsticks, unsure which dish to pick first.
Before eating, Huo Junxian first mixed the poodle’s food. She poured it into a small bowl by her feet and said, “Eat slowly, no gobbling.”
Her voice was so gentle.
Gu Siyu felt a tingle in her ears.
Gu Siyu immediately said, “Why don’t you talk to me?”
Huo Junxian glanced at her, as if asking, *Are you a dog too?* Gu Siyu was practically just short of barking back at her.
Huo Junxian finished preparing the poodle’s meal. She ate quietly, without a sound, her head bowed. Gu Siyu thought, *Wow, is she shy?*
She rested her chin on her hand and tapped her bowl with a chopstick.
Huo Junxian ate her meal, quietly.
Gu Siyu was the kind of person who wanted something more the less it was given to her. Huo Junxian saying one sentence had already satisfied her, but she liked hearing it so much that when Huo Junxian stopped speaking, she couldn’t stand it. If Huo Junxian didn’t want to talk, that wouldn’t do; she would find a way to make Huo Junxian talk to her.
The food was very much to her liking, and Gu Siyu ate until she was full. She took a tissue and wiped her mouth. Huo Junxian cleared the table, and Gu Siyu slowly followed behind her. She followed Huo Junxian as she washed dishes, followed her as she wiped the table, and followed her when she bathed the poodle… waiting just outside the door.
••••
Late at night, Huo Junxian went upstairs. Gu Siyu followed her up. She said, “If you want me to leave, you can just call me ‘dear,’ or ‘goodnight,’ or something else intimate.”
She added, “‘Get lost’ or ‘go away’ won’t do.”
Huo Junxian might have genuinely wanted her to leave. She took a step forward, leaned in, paused, about to say something, then swallowed it.
“Say it,” Gu Siyu urged. “Otherwise, I’ll follow you when you shower, follow you when you sleep. Also, about that silly dog, you owe me compensation.”
Huo Junxian spoke. She said softly, “You’re very slutty.”
Gu Siyu laughed, a little surprised. Her lips curved upwards. “How else am I supposed to flirt with you?”
Huo Junxian lowered her voice and said, “Want to go to my room?”
“Why else?”
“Then can I tie you up?”
“Hmm?”
Gu Siyu froze, feeling like something was wrong with her ears. *What dirty talk was Huo Junxian saying to her now?*
Huo Junxian stroked the little poodle’s head. The little poodle tilted its head and barked at Gu Siyu.
It also seemed confused, not understanding its owner’s meaning.
Gu Siyu stepped forward and asked her, “Will you do it yourself?”
Huo Junxian stood quietly, as if she was so flustered by Gu Siyu’s flirting that she was speechless. When it came to dirty talk, she certainly couldn’t compare to Gu Siyu.
She leaned against the stair railing, and the little poodle rubbed against her hand.
Gu Siyu found Huo Junxian truly interesting, especially her forced composure; it was particularly charming. *Last time she secretly cried, will she secretly be shy this time?*
Soon, the little poodle in her arms barked, and Huo Junxian stepped onto the last stair. Gu Siyu smiled. Indeed, her guess was right; this woman was shy.
Huo Junxian carried the little dog to the door. When the door opened, there was no sound, yet Huo Junxian softly called her name, “Gu Siyu.”
“Hm?”
“You’re so cute.”
The door gently closed, as if not quite shut tight.
Cute?
Gu Siyu retorted, “You got it wrong.”
Honestly, she had been relentlessly cursed at her whole life. People had used every rotten word imaginable, and not one of them had ever praised her as cute.
If Huo Junxian had called her “cheap” or cursed her as a “scumbag,” she would have accepted it, and might even have replied, “That’s right.”
••••
Back in her room, Gu Siyu poured herself a glass of water. Holding the glass, she leaned against the headboard and recalled their recent conversation. It was still early, and she planned to take a shower first. Just as she opened her wardrobe and flicked through her clothes, she thought of Jin Yuansen and sent him a message.
[Haven’t decided what gift I want. Just send me money.]
Jin Yuansen replied quite quickly: [I’ll buy you a pair of shoes]
Gu Siyu: [I’d rather have money]
The next second, a notification came in.
[Jin Yuansen transferred 10,000 yuan to you]
“Tsk.”
Gu Siyu complained, “Stingy.”
Don’t let Jin Yuansen’s suits and scholarly appearance fool you; he was incredibly stingy, otherwise, he wouldn’t be coveting Huo Junxian’s other half of the assets.
Gu Siyu messaged: [Give me 100,000]
Jin Yuansen: [Don’t be greedy]
If Gu Siyu insisted on 100,000, he’d probably call Tencent or the bank in a moment to freeze the money.
Gu Siyu: [Your wife just invited me to her room.]
Jin Yuansen: [What are you talking about?]
Gu Siyu: [Believe it or not, I’m going to bed.]
Jin Yuansen: [Wait, Siyu, I’ll give you 100,000, but you have to bring something back for me.]
Gu Siyu didn’t reply.
[Jin Yuansen transferred 90,000 to you]
Gu Siyu: [I’ll give you photos.]
Jin Yuansen replied, “Good,” and then sent a flurry of messages: [After the divorce, Huo Junxian withdrew half of the company’s funds. Currently, the company’s funds are very tight. Once things turn around, I’ll buy you diamonds next time, good girl.]
*Lab-grown diamonds? The kind that cost 100 yuan each?*
Jin Yuansen was stingy enough. He was worse than that cheating scumbag from the Zhou family who at least sent her friend a 520,000 yuan customized crescent moon necklace that could only be bought once with one ID card. He had both the intention and the money.
However. That Zhou family guy was a mommy’s boy, always listening to his mom. It was boring, constantly hearing him say “my mom, my mom,” until her ears almost calloused.
Gu Siyu looked at the bracelet on her wrist, then at the bank transfer notification on her phone.
Gu Siyu expressionlessly transferred the money to her card. She finished the water in her glass. She hadn’t originally intended to go to Huo Junxian’s room, but now she had no choice.
Jin Yuansen was truly an idiot, spending 100,000 yuan to send someone for an overnight stay in his wife’s room.
Gu Siyu was not a good person. She wouldn’t go for nothing. She was quite curious about Huo Junxian’s room. The two floors weren’t very far apart, so she went up quickly.
But the moment she went up, a black shadow darted out from the room next to Huo Junxian’s, startling Gu Siyu. She thought someone was hiding in the house, but after a closer look, she realized it was the little poodle.
Gu Siyu pressed a finger to her lips. “Shh, don’t make noise, I’m here to make your owner happy.”
The little poodle wagged its tail, staring at her, seemingly trying to determine if she was telling the truth. Gu Siyu smiled at it and pulled out an apple.
“Give this to her.”
Gu Siyu entered Huo Junxian’s room with the apple.
The little poodle barked outside the door, still alerting its owner.
*This silly dog.*
Fortunately, Huo Junxian wasn’t in the bedroom; she was showering in the bathroom.
The sound of rushing water filled the air, but unfortunately, the door was too solid to see what was happening inside. Gu Siyu placed the apple on the table. She surveyed the room. It was very clean, with very few items inside. It really didn’t look like a rich woman’s house; these few things might even be taken away later.
Gu Siyu walked to the dressing mirror. *Oh, there were only a few cosmetics on it, domestic brands, and not even major ones.*
The walk-in closet was sparsely filled with two or three outfits. A hat hung at the very end. It was less impressive than Gu Siyu’s own collection of branded goods.
She looked here, then there.
It was too dark at night to see much.
Gu Siyu sat on the edge of the bed.
She was too lazy to even pretend to be a “green tea” girl. Her days here had been quite boring; no sneaking around, no heart-pounding fear. She was even more brazen than the original wife.
Gu Siyu leaned back. Huo Junxian’s bed was very soft, and her body relaxed. She sighed, enjoying herself.
After more than ten minutes, Huo Junxian came out. When she pushed open the door, she was visibly startled, instinctively recoiling and covering her unclad body.
Gu Siyu’s gaze quickly swept over her, taking in her body completely. Gu Siyu instantly saw her chest, clearly noticing a mole there. It was the first time she realized a mole in that location could be so sexy. Truly a peerless beauty.
Huo Junxian pressed her fingers against her chest, intending to block Gu Siyu’s view, and gathered her clothes.
The two women were at a standstill for a moment. Huo Junxian then walked over composedly. She walked to the bed, glancing at Gu Siyu during her approach, as if asking, “What are you doing here?”
Gu Siyu rested her arm on the headboard, lazily propping her chin and watching her. Huo Junxian had her back to her.
Huo Junxian bent over to put on her nightgown.
Gu Siyu said, “I missed you, couldn’t sleep, kept tossing and turning, so I couldn’t help but come see you.” Then she commented on her figure, “I was right to come; you look truly beautiful now, Huo Junxian, you’re really beautiful.”
Huo Junxian didn’t believe her, so she remained silent.
Gu Siyu stated truthfully, “Your husband sent me to take pictures.”
Huo Junxian froze. Her head had just emerged from the nightgown’s neckline, her figure exceptionally alluring in the bright moonlight.
Gu Siyu added, “Take pictures.”
Her hand that had been propping her chin dropped, touching something by the bed. She reached out and pulled at it, realizing it was a rope. As she tugged the rope, she said, “He wants to use your photos to threaten you. He’s really something else.”
After that, Huo Junxian took a step forward. She turned on the light. The light was dazzling, and Gu Siyu blinked several times before her eyes adjusted. She then identified Huo Junxian standing by the wall, looking at her.
Gu Siyu looked at the color of the bedsheets—satin pink, which looked cool and smooth on the skin. She also clearly saw Huo Junxian’s color. She was wearing a wine-red cowl-neck nightgown, with a side slit that went up to her waist.
Thin spaghetti straps hung on her shoulders, and the low V of the cowl neck was soft. It was so loose and delicate that one feared it might not hold and would fall off.
*Was this the ‘pure yet alluring’ style of a mature woman?*
Just two simple garments, yet they looked so beautiful.
Gu Siyu stared intently until she pulled down the item hanging by the bed. She looked down at her palm; it was a brown dog leash.
*Isn’t this the same dog leash used to tie up Xiao Yu during the day?*
She looked, appreciating.
The thin strap on Huo Junxian’s shoulder slid down a bit. She tilted her head to look, then hooked her finger around the strap, slowly pulling it up to her collarbone.
Her voice was soft and delicate, like the way she spoke to the poodle during the day. “So, how do you want to take them?”
