The Consequences of Provoking a Crazy Beauty (GL) - Chapter 6
Huo Junxian didn’t move. Gu Siyu slightly parted her lips, just a hair’s breadth away, and said again, “Respond to me.”
Huo Junxian, obediently, responded with force. Her teeth bit down on Gu Siyu’s lips. Gu Siyu felt the pain, but she didn’t care. Holding the back of Huo Junxian’s head, she continued to kiss, their lips and tongues entwining, kissing Huo Junxian until she had nowhere to hide, and she let out a muffled groan.
In the instant they separated to breathe, Huo Junxian raised her hand and slapped Gu Siyu directly across the face.
*Smack!* The sound was exceptionally crisp. This slap stunned Gu Siyu; for a moment, she forgot whether to tend to her face or her lips first.
The pain grew clearer, and Gu Siyu gradually sobered. She hissed, recalling what had just happened, and gave a very peculiar smile.
Huo Junxian braced her hands on the sofa, frowning, her breathing heavier with each gasp. Her chest visibly heaved, and her lips were moist.
After a moment, she glanced towards the door. Her fingers clenched the sofa cushion, as if to calm herself after the kiss, or perhaps afraid of being discovered by the person outside.
That woman stood outside the courtyard, eyes wide, frantically pressing the doorbell, trying to stop what was happening inside.
The incessant ringing echoed through the house, making the morning feel exceptionally noisy.
Suddenly, Gu Siyu recalled her own arrival. She had come with Jin Yuansen. Jin Yuansen rang the doorbell, and she stood beside him, holding a black umbrella, idly spinning the handle out of boredom.
The first to hear the sound was the poodle, which rushed over like an arrow, barking wildly at her through the iron gate. That silly dog had disliked her from the very first glance.
Huo Junxian must have come over after hearing the dog barking. Despite her full figure, she walked lightly and silently. She picked up the dog, not even glancing at the person outside.
Jin Yuansen quickly chimed in, “Junxian, it’s raining. I brought someone back to take shelter. Can you open the door?”
Huo Junxian stopped, watching them from the monitor, her expression indifferent.
To say it was raining was complete nonsense. That day, only a symbolic drop or two of rain fell; there wasn’t a single drop of water visible on the ground, and Gu Siyu was holding a sun umbrella.
Gu Siyu, being mischievous, intentionally pressed the doorbell with the tip of her umbrella. The vibrating sound caught Huo Junxian’s attention. Huo Junxian raised her eyes, and Gu Siyu lazily leaned against the wall, expecting to be reprimanded.
But Huo Junxian reached out and touched a button, and the main gate slowly opened before their astonished eyes. Gu Siyu brazenly followed Jin Yuansen inside, thinking as she walked, *Huo Junxian must be a lunatic to actually open the door for her.*
At the time, she hadn’t paid close attention to Huo Junxian’s expression.
Now, she watched intently.
Huo Junxian lowered her gaze, concealing the emotions in her eyes.
The little poodle came over, its tail constantly wagging, barking fiercely at Gu Siyu twice. But it was too late; the kiss had already happened.
Huo Junxian squatted down and stroked the poodle’s head, “Good boy.”
Then, she got up from the sofa and went to the kitchen. Breakfast hadn’t been made yet. The recent events seemed as if they hadn’t happened, and she paid no attention to the person outside.
“Silly dog, come here,” Gu Siyu said to the poodle.
The poodle seemed confused and didn’t even want to acknowledge her. So Gu Siyu said, “That woman outside bullies your owner so much. Don’t you want to help your owner get revenge?”
The poodle nodded its head. Perhaps this silly dog was too smart; Gu Siyu always felt like she was teaching a child something bad.
Gu Siyu mimicked Huo Junxian’s gesture of clapping her hands. However, Huo Junxian’s nature was gentle, making her claps exceptionally soft, whereas Gu Siyu was like a mischievous spirit mimicking a human, wearing a triumphant expression. The poodle was held by her unwillingly.
“Be good.” Gu Siyu carried the poodle to the main gate. Today, there was no fine drizzle; the blazing sun still shone overhead.
The female neighbor stopped pressing the doorbell. She bit her lip, trying to appear composed. Gu Siyu stroked the poodle’s head and asked, “Who are you looking for?”
The woman’s gaze remained fixed on her. Her fingers clutched the iron gate, scanning Gu Siyu repeatedly before finally answering, “I’m looking for Huo Junxian. Please open the door. And who are you?”
Actually, they had met before. At the tree, the female neighbor was chasing Huo Junxian, wanting to be affectionate with her. Gu Siyu deliberately whistled, and the neighbor turned to look, instantly appearing startled, leaning against the tree in a daze, then picking up her dog and running off. That day’s rendezvous had ended early.
Gu Siyu lifted the dog up a bit and patted its rear.
The little poodle immediately barked madly at the neighbor. The neighbor, startled, stepped back a pace, looking at the poodle in disbelief. “Xiao Yu…”
“Woof woof woof!” The little poodle was agitated, even jumping from Gu Siyu’s arms and growling at her. The poodle walked around the gate, looking completely enraged.
The neighbor’s face turned pale, and she didn’t dare to step forward. The poodle rushed to the iron gate, as if trying to squeeze through the gap to bite a piece of her flesh.
Gu Siyu smiled from the side. *See? Training a dog isn’t hard at all.*
Gu Siyu squatted down, placed her hand on the poodle’s head, and said, “Good boy.” She couldn’t imitate Huo Junxian’s tone, using her own expressive and assertive demeanor. Very flamboyant, very proud, she said, “I’m really sorry, our dog at home isn’t very obedient.”
The woman, having been startled, tried hard to compose herself. She also squatted down and looked at the poodle, saying, “Xiao Yu, don’t be scared. Go tell Junxian I’m back. Be a good boy.”
The poodle still glared at her, baring its teeth. The woman took a small box from her bag, shook it, and then pushed it through the gate. “Ta-da! I bought this especially for you.”
The dog showed no interest; it pounced and bit a corner of the box, tearing it to shreds.
The woman looked at Gu Siyu, her gaze mixed with fury. Dressed in a white skirt, she should have seemed gentle, but at that moment, she looked ready to devour Gu Siyu. A moment later, she stood up, slung her bag, got into her car, and drove away.
Gu Siyu hugged her arms, a wide smile on her face. She licked her freshly bitten lip; the sensitive nerves tingled with a strange warmth flowing through her body, a feeling of exhilaration.
She turned to see Huo Junxian standing at the doorway, and she smiled faintly.
Gu Siyu walked unhurriedly, naturally moving to Huo Junxian’s side. She didn’t think her recent actions were bad at all. “You’re so fierce with me, but so docile with others?” she said.
Huo Junxian blinked. Looking at the restless poodle in Gu Siyu’s arms, she said, “Xiao Yu, be a good boy.”
The restless little poodle gazed at her obediently.
Gu Siyu handed the dog to her. “Next time she comes, go up and slap her, just like you slapped me.”
Huo Junxian’s movement to take the dog paused; she was surprised by Gu Siyu’s suggestion, and her face showed confusion.
Gu Siyu asked, “Are you afraid, or just unwilling?”
“Hmm?”
Gu Siyu said, “I bite you, and you slap me. What about her? She hurts you so much, yet you still cherish her? Or are you just her dog, called and dismissed at her whim? If you want to get over someone, you need to learn to be the master. Training a dog isn’t hard, right? You can do it.”
“Woof!” the poodle barked, stealing the scene.
Gu Siyu glared at the poodle. “Not talking about you.”
Huo Junxian nodded in agreement.
When that slap landed, Gu Siyu hadn’t been angry; after all, kissing her wasn’t a loss. But she wouldn’t take a slap for nothing. She wanted Huo Junxian to learn something, or more accurately, for herself to gain something from that slap.
Soon, the neighbor returned, just three minutes later. This time, she came prepared, carrying a brown poodle in her arms. The poodle barked towards the yard.
Huo Junxian’s poodle heard the sound and immediately became restless, dashing out of the living room, sticking its tongue out at the poodle outside, unable to move its legs any further.
Gu Siyu felt that her “lesson” hadn’t quite hit the mark. She should instill in Huo Junxian the correct view on relationships, not to be like a silly dog, rushing towards just any dog it sees.
The brown poodle also jumped from the neighbor’s arms, and the two dogs started barking at each other through the gate.
One detail particularly caught Gu Siyu’s attention: the brown poodle was wearing a small skirt and a red hairpin on its ear.
So… Xiao Yu was a male dog?
Poodle Xiao Yu barked for a few minutes, then turned and ran back, wanting to find Huo Junxian. Gu Siyu blocked its path.
“Silly dog, you’re a male dog?”
Gu Siyu lifted the poodle’s legs, looked underneath, and then clicked her tongue. “You little eunuch.”
The poodle realized she was insulting it and barked at her, wiggling its backside, then ran into the house. It kept biting Huo Junxian’s pant leg, urging Huo Junxian to go outside with it.
Huo Junxian was pulled out by it. Gu Siyu stood up, watching Huo Junxian. This time, she didn’t stop Huo Junxian, who was pulled directly to the door.
“A male dog named Xiao Yu?” Gu Siyu found it utterly illogical. Just as she was thinking how illogical it was, the door opened. Gu Siyu looked expectantly, waiting to see Huo Junxian slap the woman outside.
Huo Junxian pulled open the iron gate. She softly told the poodle by her leg, “Alright, no barking, be a good boy.”
The two dogs didn’t understand the love and hate between adults. The iron gate opened, and the white and brown dogs tumbled together, entwined with each other, their little bushy tails rubbing together.
Especially the “little eunuch,” who had completely turned into a simp, chasing after the brown dog. The brown dog mostly ignored it, but it still frantically tried to impress it.
The neighbor grabbed Huo Junxian’s hand and spoke to her, her expression timid, looking pitiful and on the verge of tears.
One second, two seconds… a minute passed. The slap never landed. Instead, the female neighbor burst into tears.
“I’m sorry, Junxian, I wanted to come see you, but… you know.” Tears streamed down the neighbor’s face. She pulled up her sleeve, revealing her arm covered in bruises, patch after patch, as if she had been abused.
“I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry.” The neighbor’s tears kept falling. “I didn’t mean not to come find you.”
The brown poodle ran to her feet and nipped at her skirt hem. Her exposed ankle also showed a ring of purple bruises, like marks left by being tied up.
She looked utterly pathetic and miserable.
Huo Junxian’s hand rose and gently rested on the neighbor’s face, wiping away her tears. She softly hummed in acknowledgment.
The female neighbor followed Huo Junxian into the house.
As the two women passed by Gu Siyu, Gu Siyu said, “Huo Junxian, if I were a dog, I’d bite you to death.”
The female neighbor paused slightly upon hearing this. She looked up at Gu Siyu, tilting her head slightly, her eyes still holding unshed tears, and her gaze at Gu Siyu carried a hint of disdain.
This woman was beautiful, best described as having a “campus belle” vibe, with a delicate face like the bright moonlight, the dream girl of all men during school days.
She followed Huo Junxian, wiping away her tears.
Reaching the living room sofa, she moved to pull Huo Junxian closer.
Gu Siyu pulled out her phone and sat on the sofa, playing. The screen reflected her expression—cold and clearly angry.
She turned on her phone screen, pretending to scroll idly through recent news: celebrity relationships exposed, male stars cheating, all sorts of messy news. She glanced at it casually, then went back and exited. After a pause, she saw news of a national academician passing away. She read the ten-second news clip two or three times, then tapped a crying emoji below the screen.
The two people next to her kept talking, mostly You Wanyue. Her voice was low, making it unclear if she was in pain or if she just didn’t want Gu Siyu to hear.
“He hit me, locked me up, I was scared.”
“It hurt so much, I wanted to come find you, I kept enduring it.”
“Junxian, I’m sorry, you didn’t go wait for me, did you?”
Huo Junxian said, “I did.”
You Wanyue’s tear-filled eyes blinked twice. She reached for Huo Junxian’s hand, but Huo Junxian slowly withdrew her fingers.
“You have many injuries; I shouldn’t hurt you,” Huo Junxian gently told You Wanyue. “You still shouldn’t touch me.”
“Okay,” You Wanyue let go of her hand. She pulled at her sleeve to hide the marks on her body.
Huo Junxian looked at her. “How about we call the police?”
You Wanyue shook her head vigorously. “No, no need.”
“Doesn’t it hurt?” Huo Junxian asked.
You Wanyue lowered her gaze. “I can endure it.”
Huo Junxian looked at her, silent for a long time, then said, “I’ll get the first-aid kit.”
“Okay,” the female neighbor sat down.
On the long sofa, she and Gu Siyu occupied opposite ends. Gu Siyu never interjected into their conversation, busy with her phone.
You Wanyue actively spoke to Gu Siyu. Her voice was also gentle, but unlike Huo Junxian’s, which was naturally soft and revealed an inherent tenderness, this woman’s gentleness seemed a bit deliberately affected.
Of course, it might also have been because Gu Siyu disliked her.
“My name is You Wanyue,” she said.
Gu Siyu didn’t even glance at her; she already knew.
You Wanyue then added, “I saw the slap Junxian gave you just now.”
“Did it hurt a lot?”
Gu Siyu turned her head to look at her. There were still some red marks near You Wanyue’s cuff, but the woman had a smile on her lips, seemingly not feeling much pain. In contrast, Gu Siyu belatedly felt her own cheek throbbing with a burning sensation.
You Wanyue’s gaze was gentle, but her mockery reached Gu Siyu’s ears. Gu Siyu usually didn’t care about a slap; a slap was just a slap, and she’d received many growing up. But now, she cared intensely.
The little poodle ran in, biting a red rubber ball, and playfully teasing its “girlfriend.” You Wanyue got up and no longer sat on the sofa. With the same gesture as Huo Junxian, she clapped her hands. “Xiao Yu, come here.”
The poodle turned and barked at her, looking fierce.
“Hmph,” Gu Siyu directly chuckled.
She laughed at You Wanyue’s failure, then laughed at herself.
How to describe this feeling? It was as if Gu Siyu and You Wanyue were vying for favor, both trying to please this “little eunuch” (the poodle), waiting for the “emperor” to pick a green nameplate (a concubine).
Huo Junxian, this “emperor,” finally brought the first-aid kit.
You Wanyue stopped teasing the dog and sat quietly, gently pulling aside her clothes. Huo Junxian dipped a cotton swab in swelling medicine and dabbed it bit by bit onto You Wanyue’s arm.
You Wanyue softly cried out in pain. Huo Junxian said, “Endure it. If it really hurts, go to the hospital yourself, or I’ll help you call the police.”
You Wanyue still looked timid and hesitant.
Huo Junxian said, “It’ll be fine once you get divorced.”
You Wanyue didn’t respond.
Huo Junxian had said all she could, understanding You Wanyue’s choice, neither saying more nor trying to persuade her further.
Afterward, Huo Junxian went to get a small bowl with some ice cubes. She walked over to Gu Siyu. Gu Siyu didn’t move or show any expression.
Huo Junxian said, “Your face is swollen.”
Gu Siyu’s lips twitched. That slap could have been forgotten, but these two kept bringing it up, making the slap on her face hurt doubly, and all sorts of frustrations welled up in her heart.
Huo Junxian took out the ice, wrapped it in cloth, and moved to apply it to her face. Gu Siyu turned her face away and said, “No need.”
Gu Siyu never cared for receiving a sweet treat after being slapped. If anyone dared to slap her, she would find every way to make their life miserable.
Gu Siyu looked at Huo Junxian, her gaze as if saying, “I wasn’t joking about biting you to death.”
Huo Junxian gazed back at her, holding the ice in her hand.
Gu Siyu tilted her head up, seeing Huo Junxian’s lips, moist, as if chewed red. Huo Junxian met her gaze and asked, “Do you want to go to the hospital?”
Gu Siyu chuckled, “I’m afraid I’ll be all better before we even get there, won’t I?”
“No, your face is very swollen.”
Gu Siyu was momentarily speechless.
She let out a laugh. “I’m a bit strange. If you heal me, you can’t heal anyone else from now on.”
“That’s impossible,” Huo Junxian said.
Gu Siyu’s gaze darkened slightly. Huo Junxian continued, “If Xiao Yu gets hurt, I still have to bandage its wounds.”
Huo Junxian applied the ice to her face, her attitude somewhat forceful. Gu Siyu continued to block with her hand. “Huo Junxian, I have a bit of emotional purity complex. I don’t care if you usually ignore me, but if you deceive me, I’ll get angry. To put it bluntly, I’m a bit twisted. If someone is good to me, then they can only be good to me alone.”
*Obsessive, forceful, and possessive.*
Huo Junxian’s fingers trembled. She said, “You’re not twisted.”
“Hmm?” Gu Siyu raised an eyebrow slightly, scoffing, “If I’m not, are you?”
Huo Junxian took her hand away, using a bit of force to press her hand into the sofa, then forcefully applied the ice to her face. Huo Junxian softly said, “Hold it with your hand for a while.”
Gu Siyu didn’t move. Ice shouldn’t be applied to swelling continuously, so Huo Junxian had to hold it for her. When her hand slightly moved away, Gu Siyu immediately grabbed Huo Junxian’s hand, then abruptly lifted her body, her lips brushing Huo Junxian’s ear, as if to bite her. Gu Siyu said, “Don’t provoke me.”
Huo Junxian’s ear was hot, but her fingers were ice-cold. She moved her hand away slightly, then applied it again. Gu Siyu then said, “You bit my mouth too.”
The two were very close, almost rubbing against each other. The dog watching nearby barked wildly, and the person outside, clenching her fists, was also calling their names, but neither of them heard a word.
Huo Junxian lowered her gaze, her eyes falling on Gu Siyu’s lips. “Your lips aren’t swollen.”
“But I feel like they hurt.”
Huo Junxian withdrew her hand. She took an ice cube from the small bowl and pressed it against Gu Siyu’s lips. Gu Siyu parted her lips, her tongue gently curling, taking the ice cube away. She held the ice cube in her mouth. Huo Junxian’s hand was still on her lips. She then extended her tongue and licked Huo Junxian’s thumb.
Afterward, Huo Junxian withdrew her fingers and turned to the kitchen. She stood at the counter, the ingredients already laid out. She didn’t start cooking immediately, but rather stared at her fingers, then pressed them against her own lips. They were cool.
