The Consequences of Provoking a Crazy Beauty (GL) - Chapter 8
Huo Junxian’s gaze was mournful, and she held Gu Siyu’s hand so tightly that Gu Siyu’s bones almost cracked.
Gu Siyu frowned and pulled her hand away. Huo Junxian tugged at her sleeve again, softly calling out with a tremble, “Gu Siyu…”
In the past, when Huo Junxian called her, it was usually cold and flat. Now, it carried an eagerness, as if fearing Gu Siyu wouldn’t forgive her.
“Please,” Huo Junxian’s eyes were filled with tears. Gu Siyu’s fingers glided beneath her eyes, catching the falling tears on her fingertips. Gu Siyu, holding the tears, said, “How I deal with you depends on my mood.”
Huo Junxian’s throat bobbed as she swallowed. She was powerless; Gu Siyu held all her weaknesses.
Gu Siyu got up from the bed. Huo Junxian followed, slightly lifting her body, her movements seeming to ask if Gu Siyu was leaving.
“Go draw my bath,” Gu Siyu had no intention of leaving. She stood by the bed and smiled at Huo Junxian, a terribly mischievous grin.
Gu Siyu had fallen asleep as soon as she lay down at noon and hadn’t showered. She’d been dwelling on things, and in her hazy sleep, she’d fallen into a deep slumber quickly.
Her nap was hot, and she’d had a dream, leaving her sweaty and smelly. Because of Huo Junxian’s smile just now, recalling everything that happened today, her malice resurfaced.
Huo Junxian lowered her gaze. “Okay.”
Just yesterday, Gu Siyu had showered here. She’d been trying to please Huo Junxian, so she’d only used the shower quickly, not even applying body wash.
Today, the bathroom light was on, revealing everything. It looked like a luxury setup, with a circular bathtub where one could fully immerse themselves.
Huo Junxian adjusted the bathroom lighting twice before turning on the tub’s faucet. Then, she placed the body wash and bath salts nearby for Gu Siyu to choose.
Gu Siyu unzipped the side of her waist, stripped completely, and walked barefoot into the water. As her body submerged, she faintly felt the value of the house; it truly had that three-hundred-million-yuan vibe. The water temperature was just right, and her body was exceptionally relaxed, all her taut muscles easing.
The water pressed against half of her chest, revealing her ample bosom like mountains. Huo Junxian stood by the doorway, staring like a wooden dummy. Gu Siyu rested her hand on the edge of the tub, leaning back, and kicked the water.
Huo Junxian was calm, quietly waiting, her face timid, which annoyed Gu Siyu. Before Gu Siyu could speak, Huo Junxian’s gaze shifted, and she quickly turned and left, closing the door.
Gu Siyu felt very comfortable. She reached down, cupping her chest, then released it, finding no particular interest. Her body slid further into the water, and she closed her eyes, soaking. Once she felt completely relaxed, she got up, wrapped in a bathrobe.
The bedroom light wasn’t on. The pile of miscellaneous documents Gu Siyu had left lay on the floor; Huo Junxian hadn’t tidied them up. She lay on her side, sleeping with her arm as a pillow.
Gu Siyu, being somewhat base, couldn’t help but lean over and pull Huo Junxian closer. She pinched Huo Junxian’s chin, scrutinizing her eyes to see if she had cried. Her long eyelashes fluttered, showing a hint of moisture.
Only then did she lie down contentedly beside her.
This bed was like a glutton, capable of devouring everyone’s desires. Gu Siyu had slept on it once and had no interest in other beds. She wanted to sleep here, indefinitely, to claim it as her own.
••••
In the morning, Huo Junxian woke up early as usual. She hung out the clothes from yesterday and used a lint roller to pick up dog hair around the house.
The phone on the table rang. Huo Junxian picked it up. As her finger slid to answer, You Wanyue’s voice came through.
“Junxian, shall we walk the dogs later and then have afternoon tea? Or should I come to you?”
Huo Junxian’s lips parted to speak when Gu Siyu came down the stairs. She was wearing a white, one-shoulder strap dress and had her arms crossed.
You Wanyue asked again from the other end of the phone. Gu Siyu leaned lazily against the railing and said, “Did I tell you to answer the phone?”
Her voice carried perfectly to the other end. You Wanyue quickly asked what was wrong, but received no reply.
“Junxian? Junxian!” You Wanyue called out to her.
Huo Junxian immediately hung up the phone. She looked at Gu Siyu, as if asking, *Are you satisfied?*
Gu Siyu picked up a teacup from the table. She took a sip of water and said, “Not satisfied. If you truly wanted to satisfy me, you shouldn’t have answered her call.”
Huo Junxian stood quietly. Today, she was wearing a black halter-neck dress with an open chest area, a low V revealing her full bosom, a swell of white. Huo Junxian met her gaze, then turned her back. Her back was also bare, a line of exposed spine winding downwards. The fitted fabric hugged her waist and supported her firm buttocks.
Today, she had abandoned her usual gentle style for a sophisticated and sexy look. She bent over to serve rice, her rear lifting.
Gu Siyu felt she was being deliberately seductive, intentionally dressing so sensuously, maturely, and femininely. Undeniably, when she first arrived, she’d worn camisoles specifically to entice Huo Junxian and make her fall.
Summer really wasn’t a good season; it made one thirsty easily.
Huo Junxian squatted down to mix food for the poodle. Her and Gu Siyu’s breakfast was also ready. The two ate at the table. During the meal, Huo Junxian reported her plans in a soft voice, like a routine update: “I’m going to the company.”
Gu Siyu was quite pleased with this, but her mouth got the better of her, and she asked, “So that’s why you’re dressed so sexily?”
“Mm.”
*Boring.* Gu Siyu looked away. She had actually hoped Huo Junxian dressed this way to seduce *her*.
After breakfast, Huo Junxian closed the front door. A car was parked outside the courtyard; a driver had been waiting there since early morning. Just as Huo Junxian was about to get into the car, You Wanyue arrived. She slapped the gate, hoping Huo Junxian would open it. You Wanyue had no idea what had happened; everything had been fine when she left yesterday.
She had intentionally stayed very late yesterday. They had walked, and she had even seen Huo Junxian home. Everything had been harmonious. So why had Huo Junxian changed so much today, becoming cold and even hanging up on her?
You Wanyue’s gaze fell on Gu Siyu.
Gu Siyu had a small frame and looked quite slender. She ate her fill, stretched lazily, and looked tired. “I can’t figure it out,” she said. “Why am I still bothering with her?”
You Wanyue, outside the courtyard, was utterly perplexed and anxious, calling out urgently, “Junxian, can we talk? Did something happen? I can help you!”
Gu Siyu walked down the steps. The weather was already getting muggy; if she didn’t go out now, she’d roast to death later.
She followed behind Huo Junxian. She generally disliked noisy sounds, but listening to You Wanyue banging on the gate now, honestly, she rather enjoyed it.
The driver opened the car door. This was the first time Gu Siyu had seen this driver; there were only four people in total who came and went in the house, so he must have arrived early this morning. He looked like a man in his forties or fifties.
He made a welcoming gesture for Huo Junxian to get into the car. Huo Junxian sat in the back. Gu Siyu stood outside the car door, smiling at You Wanyue in the courtyard.
“Drive, and don’t look out the window,” Gu Siyu said, sitting opposite Huo Junxian, her eyes fixed on Huo Junxian.
The driver turned to look at Huo Junxian.
Huo Junxian said, “Listen to her.”
The car started moving, but didn’t leave the courtyard gate quickly. You Wanyue chased behind the car. She was fast, slapping the car window, the sound reverberating in Gu Siyu’s ears.
Gu Siyu curved her lips into a smile. She loved this scene, trampling on someone else’s emotions, grinding them into dust. Sensing Huo Junxian looking at her, she raised an eyebrow and asked, “What, unwilling?”
“Do I have a choice?” Huo Junxian asked her back.
Gu Siyu didn’t think her actions were particularly excessive or nasty. Watching others suffer only made her smile.
She was a complete villain.
The car had gone quite far. She rolled down the window, resting her elbow on the frame. You Wanyue followed behind, running, trying to catch up to Huo Junxian. She looked pitiful and captivating.
But…
Unfortunately…
Gu Siyu felt no sympathy.
The car drove further and further away. The hot summer wind blew wantonly, and the lush rows of roadside trees created continuous stretches of shade.
Gu Siyu looked at Huo Junxian again. Huo Junxian didn’t speak, just stroked her dog.
“Feeling sorry for her?”
Huo Junxian bit her lip. “There’s nothing to feel sorry about.”
Gu Siyu smiled. “Do you know what you look like right now?”
“What?” Huo Junxian’s tone was flat, not at all curious about what she might resemble in Gu Siyu’s mind.
Gu Siyu said, “Like you’re dying to skin me alive and pull out my tendons”.
Huo Junxian’s fingers moved. She glanced at Gu Siyu, her lips twitched, then she pulled them back. Her expression already said it all; Gu Siyu was right. Huo Junxian truly wanted to skin her alive and pull out her tendons.
But verbally, she said, “No.”
Whether she did or not no longer mattered; what mattered was that Gu Siyu felt satisfied.
They encountered a red light ahead. Gu Siyu glanced at it and told the driver, “Drop me off at the intersection.”
When the car stopped, Gu Siyu unbuckled her seatbelt. Huo Junxian asked, “Are you getting off here?”
“What, excited?” Gu Siyu asked.
Huo Junxian didn’t speak.
Gu Siyu said, “Remember this spot. Come find me here later. I’m not going to the company; I’m not interested.”
“Okay.”
Gu Siyu opened the car door, ready to get out. Just as she was about to leave, she cast a sidelong glance at Huo Junxian, then slowly pulled her leg back. She wasn’t leaving. She said, “Go to the company first. Have your driver bring me over later.”
She was too arrogant today. The little dog in Huo Junxian’s arms kept struggling, looking like it couldn’t stand her, wanting to pounce and bite her. Huo Junxian could barely hold onto the poodle.
The poodle barked wildly, growling at Gu Siyu.
“Don’t move, Xiao Yu, be a good boy,” Huo Junxian soothed its emotions.
Even the driver in front couldn’t stand it. His gnashing teeth were reflected in the rearview mirror. He nodded twice in quick succession, gripping the steering wheel tighter and tighter. If Huo Junxian gave the nod, he could come back at any moment and beat Gu Siyu furiously.
It had to be said, Huo Junxian didn’t have many people around her, but each one seemed ready to live and die for her.
But the more this happened, the more Huo Junxian lowered her eyes submissively, and the more arrogant Gu Siyu became. She raised her long leg and placed it on Huo Junxian’s knee. The streetlights ahead turned on, and she moved her leg to be between Huo Junxian’s. Without Gu Siyu needing to prompt, Huo Junxian tightened her legs, clamping her in.
The driver finally lost his patience. “Miss…”
“Drive.”
