The Crazy Villain Wants Me to Love Her - Chapter 15.1
Chapter 15.1: I Beg You, Stay With Me
Jiang City was not far from Ning City, where Jiang Chilou was. The two cities were close, and driving via the highway only took about two hours.
Jiang Chilou arrived at Jingxin Temple just at eleven o’clock.
She looked at a small street near the temple that was full of flowers, turned her steps, and walked over there.
The reason was simple.
Since it was customary at Jingxin Temple to offer flowers and fruits to the Buddha, people who came to pray often brought flowers and fruits. Jiang Chilou didn’t have time to prepare them herself, so she decided to buy some on the flower street.
She walked around the small street and chose a florist where the flowers looked particularly fresh.
The moment she walked in, the florist owner immediately greeted her warmly and proactively said: “What are you seeking, beautiful? For peace, you can bring carnations or lilies. For career, you can bring lucky bamboo. For romance, you can bring peonies…”
Jiang Chilou listened to the owner while scanning the various flowers in the shop. After the owner finished the long list, she smiled: “I’ll just take carnations and lucky bamboo, thank you.”
“I’d like them bundled into a small bouquet like those.” Jiang Chilou casually pointed to the people passing by outside holding small bouquets and asked: “How much is that?”
The florist owner looked outside and quickly quoted a price.
Jiang Chilou paid the amount immediately.
The florist owner smiled widely: “Please wait a moment. The bouquet can be wrapped quickly. I’ll have someone prepare it for you now.”
Jiang Chilou nodded. While waiting, she glimpsed a beautiful cluster of lily of the valley flowers in the shop and couldn’t help but look at them twice.
The florist owner noticed Jiang Chilou staring at the lily of the valley and habitually began to introduce them: “Lily of the valley usually symbolizes the return of happiness… It also represents hope and new life.”
Happiness, hope, and new life.
Hearing this, Jiang Chilou’s heart stirred slightly.
The florist owner saw her looking interested and asked: “Beautiful, would you like to take a bouquet of lily of the valley too?”
Jiang Chilou smiled: “No, thank you.”
A bouquet of lily of the valley was no use to her right now, as the person she wanted to give it to wasn’t in Jiang City. Instead of buying one here and carrying it a long distance, it was better to buy a fresh bouquet after returning to Ning City.
While they were chatting, the flowers she had bought earlier were wrapped and brought over.
Jiang Chilou took the flowers and then turned to leave.
On the way to Jingxin Temple, she encountered many people holding fresh flowers, fruit baskets, or mixed bouquets of flowers and fruits.
Consequently, the path was filled with the rich fragrance of flowers.
Jiang Chilou stayed at Jingxin Temple for a long time. After piously offering her prayers, she went to the specific area for peace talismans and got one for Gu Wan.
Staring at the supposedly blessed peace talisman in her hand, Jiang Chilou’s eyes curved in a smile.
Hopefully, Gu Wan will like it, so her trip wasn’t wasted.
Ning City.
Jiang Chilou rushed back and finally arrived at the coffee shop just before three o’clock. Fortunately, the designers she had scheduled hadn’t arrived yet, allowing her time to relax a little in the lounge.
However, she didn’t relax for long before the coffee shop manager came to tell her that the designers had arrived…
By the time the busy day ended, Jiang Chilou was completely exhausted.
She drank several sips of bitter coffee to stay awake, finally finding time to check the time.
A glance revealed it was already half-past six.
Gu Wan was probably home by now.
Thinking of Gu Wan, Jiang Chilou recalled the florist owner’s words and that bouquet of lily of the valley.
There happened to be a flower shop on the ground floor of the mall across the street. She could go buy a bouquet and then go upstairs to buy Gu Wan’s gift.
Before going, however, she needed to let Gu Wan know she would be late returning home tonight.
After all, she would be even later than the day before yesterday.
Thinking this, Jiang Chilou opened WeChat and sent two messages to Gu Wan.
“I will be back late tonight. You should eat first.”
“Don’t wait for me.”
On the other side.
Gu Wan, who had just arrived home, received the messages, her expression slightly cool. She lowered her eyes and slowly replied:
“Where are you now?”
Jiang Chilou: “I’m at the coffee shop now.”
“But I need to go get something later, so I’ll be back a bit late.”
Gu Wan: “Is it essential to go get it?”
The moment this message was sent, Gu Wan saw the chat box continuously show ‘The other party is typing…’
She waited for a moment, but even after the prompt disappeared, she didn’t receive a reply from Jiang Chilou.
Gu Wan: “?”
Jiang Chilou’s heart skipped a beat when she saw the question mark.
She thought about it and silently replied: “I’m going to pick up your gift.”

A gift for her?
Gu Wan’s expression paused. She was silent for a while, then slowly typed: “I’m not in a hurry.”
“You come back and eat first. As for the gift, get it tomorrow.”
Jiang Chilou: “But I want to give it to you quickly! Otherwise, I’ll keep thinking about it all night and won’t sleep well.”

“Can you eat first and wait for me at home, please?”
Gu Wan stared at Jiang Chilou’s message, her eyes changing several times, but in the end, she only replied with one word: “Okay.”
At the entrance of the flower shop, Jiang Chilou ordered a bouquet of lily of the valley, arranging to pick it up later. As she was about to go upstairs to the jewelry store to buy a necklace for Gu Wan, her gaze casually swept aside and suddenly caught sight of a newly opened, adorable wood carving shop next door.
She gazed at the various cute wood carving pieces inside the glass window from a distance, her heart stirring slightly, and she instinctively walked towards it.
The moment she entered, a store clerk immediately came over and asked: “Hello, would you like to DIY a wood carving or buy one?”
Jiang Chilou thought for a moment and smiled: “I’ll choose the DIY wood carving.”
She planned to make a wood carving first, and then go upstairs to buy a necklace for Gu Wan later.
“How is the price calculated?” Jiang Chilou asked.
The clerk quickly handed Jiang Chilou a price list: “We have a price list here. You can take a look.”
Jiang Chilou took it and saw that the cost was mainly determined by the type of wood selected, with better wood costing more.
She chose sandalwood, paid according to the price on the list, and then the clerk led her to the DIY area…
Nine o’clock in the evening.
Gu Wan glanced at the doorway from the second-floor balcony, which remained completely still, and her expression grew cold.
She lowered her eyes to her phone, which was equally motionless, and slowly and forcefully rubbed her thumb over the tip of her index finger.
Sure enough, installing a tracker on her phone would be better.
Gu Wan thought, a slight curve appearing on her lips. The cold light from the screen reflected on her face, making her look even colder.
She lowered her gaze, silently opened WeChat, and was about to contact Jiang Chilou when a car’s headlights suddenly shone in the distance.
Gu Wan raised her eyes and looked. A few seconds later, she slightly softened the coldness in her features, reverting to her usual gentle demeanor, and turned to walk downstairs.
Downstairs, after getting out of the car, Jiang Chilou secretly glanced around. Finding that Gu Wan was not nearby, she secretly breathed a sigh of relief.
She opened the car door, took out a bouquet of lily of the valley from the passenger seat and hid it behind her back, and carried the gift bags in her other hand. Only then did she slowly walk toward the living room.
As she entered the living room, she was met by Gu Wan, who was pacing towards her.
Seeing her, Jiang Chilou couldn’t help but quickly walk over, smiling brightly as she tucked the white bouquet of lily of the valley behind her back into Gu Wan’s arms.
“Gu Wan, this bouquet of lily of the valley is for you! I heard that lily of the valley can bring good luck and happiness. I hope you can have all the good luck.”
The white lily of the valley crashed into her arms, releasing a fresh and rich floral scent. Gu Wan lowered her eyes, glanced at the bouquet in her arms, then shifted her gaze to the person who was smiling brightly and looking at her wholeheartedly, her lips slightly curving.
She said thank you, then turned her attention to the two gift bags in the other person’s hand and gently asked: “What are those?”
Jiang Chilou followed Gu Wan’s gaze and looked down, then her smile widened: “You mean these?”
She lifted the two gift bags up to Gu Wan: “These are the gifts I got for you!”
“It’s my first time giving you a gift, and I kept thinking but couldn’t figure out what was most suitable, so I simply chose several things.”
Jiang Chilou said, smiling as she handed the gift bags to Gu Wan: “Here, open them and take a look.”
“I hope you like them.”
“I spent a lot of time preparing these today. It would be a shame if none of the gifts pleased you.”
Gu Wan took the gift bags, her eyes turned toward Jiang Chilou: “Spent a lot of time preparing them today?”
Jiang Chilou nodded her small head: “Yes, I did.”
“I’ve been preparing since I left this morning. Except for the time I spent at the coffee shop this afternoon, the rest of the time was spent getting your gifts.” At this point, Jiang Chilou suddenly realized she had let something slip and quickly corrected herself: “Except for the customized gift I mentioned before, the others were prepared today.”
Hearing this, Gu Wan suddenly curved her lips. Whether she believed it or not, she only chuckled softly: “Thank you for your effort, Lulu.”
Suddenly being called by a nickname by Gu Wan, Jiang Chilou gave an unnatural smile, waving her hand: “You’re welcome.”
“Hurry up and go inside to open the gifts. I’ll hold the flowers for you.” As she spoke, she proactively reached out and took the flowers from Gu Wan’s arms.
Gu Wan didn’t refuse, obediently handing the lily of the valley bouquet to Jiang Chilou.
The two walked over to the living room sofa. Jiang Chilou placed the bouquet on a nearby wooden shelf, then walked back to sit next to Gu Wan, ready to watch her open the gifts.
She looked up and saw Gu Wan first pick up the gift box containing the wood carving, and she involuntarily grew nervous.
Probably because she carved it herself. If Gu Wan doesn’t like it…
Just as Jiang Chilou thought of this, her thoughts were suddenly interrupted by a voice.
“Are you nervous?” Gu Wan turned her head to look at the person beside her, whose breathing had suddenly quickened.
“Huh?” Jiang Chilou paused.
She was stunned for a few seconds. After realizing what was happening, she tried hard to slow her breathing and smiled: “A little.”
“Why?” Gu Wan asked her.
Jiang Chilou pursed her lips: “Because I don’t know if you’ll like the gifts I gave you.”
“Let’s not talk about this. You should open them first.”
“If these gifts aren’t to your liking, I’ll send you something else next time.”
Hearing this, Gu Wan slightly raised an eyebrow.
She didn’t say anything more, only turning her head back to unwrap the gift box in her hands.
The moment the box opened, Gu Wan stared at the delicate human figurine wood carving inside and froze.
After an unknown amount of time, she raised her hand, her fingertips slowly stroking the face of the wood carving.
“Is this me?”
Jiang Chilou saw that she recognized the wood carving and smiled brightly: “Yes, it is.”
“I carved it myself.”
Gu Wan suddenly turned her head, staring intently at Jiang Chilou: “You carved it yourself?”
“You know how to carve?”
Jiang Chilou’s smile was radiant, a hint of pride in her tone: “Uh-huh.”
After her moment of pride, she added with false modesty: “Just a little bit, though.”
Gu Wan looked at Jiang Chilou, her fingertips slowly tracing every part of the wood carving.
Such exquisite and lifelike carving couldn’t be done by someone who only knew “a little bit.”
Jiang Chilou is indeed very interesting.
At the same time, seeing that Gu Wan remained silent, Jiang Chilou glanced at her for a while, and finally couldn’t resist asking: “Do you like this wood carving?”
Gu Wan: “I like it very much.”
Hearing this, Jiang Chilou immediately beamed, her starlit eyes shining: “I’m glad you like it.”
“It means my effort wasn’t wasted,” she said with a smile, then softly added: “This is the customized gift I got for you.”
“I booked an appointment to make the wood carving two days ago and spent a lot of time on it, on and off, until it was successfully carved.”
Jiang Chilou’s words were half-truths. To prevent Gu Wan from examining them too closely, she smiled and turned her attention to the other gift box, pointing: “There’s another gift there.”
“You can take a look.”
Gu Wan listened to Jiang Chilou, unconsciously lowering her eyes and rubbing the wood carving in her hand for a moment.
Booked a custom appointment?
Generally speaking, such an exquisite wood carving does indeed require a lot of time to complete, but someone skilled in carving could probably manage it in just a few hours.
