The Crazy Villain Wants Me to Love Her - Chapter 27
Chapter 27: Coming to Pick You Up.
That afternoon, when Gu Wan left work to go home, a light drizzle slowly began to fall.
Looking at the rain outside the car window, Gu Wan frowned slightly.
She didn’t like being caught in the rain outside.
Nor did she like the gloomy sky and humid air that came with the rain.
“Ding-dong, ding-dong.” Her phone suddenly displayed a few notification sounds. Gu Wan looked down, and Jiang Chilou’s WeChat message was clearly visible on the lock screen.
She paused, looked up at the red light that had 8 seconds left on the countdown, and couldn’t help but tap into Jiang Chilou’s WeChat message.
Jiang Chilou: “It’s raining. Are you off work yet?”
“Drive carefully on the road, pay attention to safety.”
“Waiting for you at home <3.”

Gu Wan’s long lashes lowered. Her fingertip paused on the conversation box with Jiang Chilou for a few seconds before she slowly typed two short replies.
“Off work.”
“Okay.”
After sending the message, she put down her phone, and the red light conveniently turned green.
Half an hour later, Jiang Chilou, who was curled up on the sofa playing a mobile game, heard the sound of a car engine from the courtyard and immediately sat up.
She turned to look at Butler Lin by the living room door and asked aloud: “Butler Lin, is that Gu Wan back?”
Butler Lin smiled and nodded: “Indeed, CEO Gu has returned.”
With that, she opened one umbrella, then picked up a long-handled black umbrella by the door, and said to Jiang Chilou: “Madam, it’s still raining heavily outside. I’ll go meet CEO Gu.”
Jiang Chilou saw her actions and, hearing the increasing sound of rain outside, stood up: “I’ll go.”
“This…” Butler Lin hesitated for two seconds, then smiled and refused: “The rain is heavy outside. You might get wet if you go out.”
“I’ll go. You stay indoors.”
While they were speaking, Jiang Chilou had already walked up to Butler Lin. She took the umbrellas from Butler Lin’s hands and laughed: “Oh, it’s such a short distance. Even if I get sprinkled, I won’t get too wet.”
“Besides, I run fast. Even if the rain is heavy, with an umbrella, I won’t get soaked much.”
“I’ll go get her. You go tell Zhou Ma in the kitchen to prepare a bowl of ginger soup for Gu Wan.”
Before her words had even fully landed, Jiang Chilou had already opened an umbrella and dashed into the courtyard, running toward where Gu Wan usually parked.
Butler Lin couldn’t stop her in time and could only smile helplessly at the figure running into the rain. She looked down at her old knees, which always bothered her on rainy days, and sighed silently in her heart.
Madam… sometimes she shows concern so quietly.
On the other side.
Gu Wan stopped the car, just about to look for an umbrella inside to open before stepping out, when her gaze caught a figure quickly running towards her.
Jiang Chilou’s golden skirt billowed. Against the gloomy sky, she looked like a sun rushing toward her.
Bold and enthusiastic.
“Gu Wan,” Jiang Chilou smiled and tapped the closed car window.
Gu Wan snapped back to attention. She looked at Jiang Chilou, her gaze unconsciously resting on the other person’s bright, smiling eyes for a moment.
A moment later, she opened the car door, reached out to take the other umbrella from Jiang Chilou’s hand and opened it, then stepped out of the car.
“Why did you come over?”
Jiang Chilou’s eyes curved in a smile: “It’s raining. I came to pick you up.”
“To bring you home.”
Gu Wan paused slightly. When her eyes caught sight of the bottom of the other person’s golden skirt, which was gradually becoming damp with rain, she said: “Next time it rains, don’t come out. You might get wet.”
Jiang Chilou curved her lips: “Next time is next time.”
“Right now, let’s go back first.” With that, she gently bumped Gu Wan’s umbrella with the bead of her own, and smiled mischievously: “Let’s go.”
Feeling the slight force of the bump on her umbrella, Gu Wan smiled softly: “Okay.”
That night, deep into the night, amidst the thunder and rain, waves of intimate moans echoed from the master bedroom on the second floor.
The sounds in the master bedroom only gradually ceased after the thunder and rain had passed.
Jiang Chilou licked her slightly dry lips, her voice husky: “Gu Wan, I want some water.”
Gu Wan used the messy bedsheet to wipe her very wet hand, then turned to Jiang Chilou: “I’ll go downstairs and pour you a cup of water now. Wait a little longer.”
Jiang Chilou beamed: “Okay, thank you.”
Gu Wan hummed, got out of bed, secured her sleep robe, took her phone, and turned to head downstairs.
In the kitchen, Gu Wan turned on the tap and carefully rinsed her slightly wrinkled fingers twice, her eyes slightly lowered.
After a few seconds, she turned to pour a cup of water, drank it all, and poured another one.
Looking at the clear water in the cup, her fingertip slightly bent and slowly tapped the side of the cup. The water in the cup instantly rippled.
At the same time, Jiang Chilou got up and changed the bedsheets after Gu Wan left the bedroom.
Two or three minutes later, she finished changing the sheets, but still didn’t see Gu Wan’s figure, which made her frown.
Just pouring water. Why is it taking so long?
Thinking this, Jiang Chilou couldn’t help but send Gu Wan a message: “Why haven’t you come up yet?”
Gu Wan: “I just drank some water.”
“Getting ready to come up now.”
Jiang Chilou: “Okay.”
After replying to the message, Jiang Chilou felt the stickiness on her body and couldn’t help but turn and head to the bathroom first.
When she finished her shower and came out, she saw Gu Wan sitting by the small coffee table in the room. On the table, there was a kettle and a cup of water.
Jiang Chilou raised an eyebrow. She walked toward Gu Wan, picked up the cup of water, drank half of it, and then put the cup down, smiling as she asked the person in front of her: “Why did you bring the kettle up too?”
Gu Wan looked at the water marks on Jiang Chilou’s lips, her lips slightly curving: “Afraid you wouldn’t have enough to drink.”
“Tsk.” Jiang Chilou lightly scoffed.
“I wouldn’t be so thirsty if it wasn’t for you.” With that, Jiang Chilou couldn’t help but glance at Gu Wan’s hands.
But she immediately withdrew her gaze after only a quick glance.
Gu Wan chuckled and handed the half-empty cup back to her: “If you’re very thirsty, drink a little more.”
“Drink up and get to bed early to rest.”
“Alright,” Jiang Chilou took the half-cup of water and drank it. Then she said: “You should go wash up too. I’m going to bed to rest first.”
“Okay,” Gu Wan replied.
After Jiang Chilou turned and got into bed, she picked up the cup and poured half a cup of water again. She gently swirled the cup, the water tracing a circle along the rim, as if rinsing away some trace.
Gu Wan swirled the cup once, then slowly tilted her head back and drank the water in the cup in one gulp.
She stared at Jiang Chilou’s back, the smile at the corner of her lips deepening slightly.
After getting into bed, Jiang Chilou intended to read her novel for a while longer, but unexpectedly, after only a few chapters, her eyes began to slowly close.
The phone she was holding in her hand unconsciously slipped onto the pillow beside her.
Gu Wan listened to the gradually steady breathing coming from the bed, slowly got up, and quietly padded to the bedside.
She sat down on the edge of the bed, staring at the person who seemed to be fast asleep, and quietly called out: “Lulu?”
No response.
Gu Wan’s lips slightly curved. She raised her hand to stroke the cheek of the person on the bed, and softly called: “Jiang Chilou?”
The person on the bed still showed no reaction.
Gu Wan chuckled softly.
She glanced at Jiang Chilou’s phone by the pillow, reached out and picked it up, then carefully lifted Jiang Chilou’s thumb and pressed it onto the lock screen.
Before long, the phone was successfully unlocked.
Gu Wan’s eyes deepened. After operating Jiang Chilou’s phone for a while, she slowly put the phone back in its original place.
The next day.
When Jiang Chilou woke up, she felt dizzy and groggy.
It felt like she had slept too much, yet also like she hadn’t slept well.
She habitually picked up her phone to check the time: 9:00 AM.
She rubbed her forehead for a moment, then rolled over, ready to lie down for a little longer, when she realized Gu Wan was also still in bed.
It looked like she had just woken up too.
She was slightly surprised and asked: “Did you just wake up too?”
“Mm,” Gu Wan replied. Seeing her rubbing her forehead, she asked: “Are you not feeling well?”
Jiang Chilou lightly shook her head: “I don’t know. I just feel a bit groggy.”
Gu Wan lowered her eyes. She reached out and placed her hand on Jiang Chilou’s temple: “I’ll rub it for you for a bit. It should help a little.”
The substance she administered last night was just her usual sleeping aid. The dosage was very light. She didn’t expect Jiang Chilou to feel uncomfortable.
