The Crazy Villain Wants Me to Love Her - Chapter 5
Chapter 5: The Weather is Nice Today
Gu Wan smiled: “Nothing.”
“Just waking you up to eat.”
“Oh.” Jiang Chilou responded slowly, laboriously sitting up in bed. She looked up at the person in front of her, her voice soft and husky: “What time is it?”
The thin, light blue shoulder strap slowly slipped off her alabaster shoulder as she sat up, revealing a bit of skin.
Her freshly awakened lashes blinked slightly, and a few drops of clear moisture slowly seeped from the corners of her eyes, wetting the roots of her curled lashes.
With wet lashes, looking up, she resembled a well-behaved cat that had been thoroughly loved.
She was irresistibly endearing.
Gu Wan lowered her eyes and looked away.
She looked down at her phone: “It’s six thirty-five.”
“So late already.” Jiang Chilou sighed.
“Then I slept for quite a while, almost two hours.”
Gu Wan neither confirmed nor denied, only gently reminding her: “Since you’re awake, get up, tidy yourself, and prepare for dinner.”
“I’ll go downstairs first.”
“Hey, wait.” Jiang Chilou suddenly reached out and grabbed the person who was about to leave.
The moment the cool, gentle wrist settled in her palm, Jiang Chilou unconsciously rubbed it a few times.
Gu Wan paused slightly, feeling a wave of itchiness where she was being rubbed.
She pulled her hand free from Jiang Chilou’s grasp, slanted her eyes to look at the person on the bed, her voice slightly cool: “What is it?”
Jiang Chilou didn’t mind Gu Wan’s attitude. Focusing on her goal, she smiled upward: “I just wanted to ask if you have a private WeChat account?”
“If you do, let’s add each other on WeChat, it’ll be convenient for contact.”
“Don’t you agree? My dear Wife~” Jiang Chilou’s eyes were full of laughter, a shimmering smile like a spring breeze stirring clear, shallow ripples on a lake.
Gu Wan’s fingers slightly curled. She lowered her gaze slightly. The trace of displeasure that had been brewing in her heart vanished the moment it met the other woman’s eyes full of laughter.
After a while, she slowly replied with one word: “Yes.”
Hearing this, Jiang Chilou’s smile grew wider. She turned, dug out her phone from the nightstand, quickly opened WeChat, and displayed the QR code.
“Let’s add each other, you can scan me or I can scan you.” Jiang Chilou handed her phone out, glancing at the phone in Gu Wan’s hand.
Gu Wan glanced at Jiang Chilou, said nothing more, and simply picked up her phone to scan the other’s QR code.
Soon, she withdrew her hand: “It’s done.”
Jiang Chilou immediately retrieved her phone to check WeChat and saw a new friend request in her contacts.
“. requests to add you as a friend.”
Jiang Chilou’s eyebrow arched slightly: “Is your nickname just a period?” The profile picture was also a pure white background.
Gu Wan affirmed with an “Mm,” her tone flat: “Because it’s simple.”
“Alright.” Jiang Chilou accepted the friend request, only then realizing there was a thin diagonal line in the white background profile picture.
She initially thought a stray hair had fallen on her screen, but it turned out to be the fine line in Gu Wan’s white profile picture.
Jiang Chilou chuckled, couldn’t help but secretly glance at Gu Wan, but quickly retracted her gaze after a quick look.
She turned her attention to the other party’s Moments (WeChat timeline).
Unfortunately, Gu Wan’s Moments were completely blank, nothing interesting to see. The only thing of slight interest was the WeChat profile picture.
“I wonder if this is an alternate account or what?”
Jiang Chilou hesitated: “Do you usually use this WeChat account?”
Gu Wan’s lips curved into a slightly cool arc: “I only have this one private WeChat account.”
“Do you think I use it?”
“Alright.” Jiang Chilou curved her lips and smiled: “I believe you.”
“Anyway, with your personality, you wouldn’t lie.”
Hearing this, Gu Wan paused, then suddenly lowered her eyes and stared quietly at Jiang Chilou.
Just when Jiang Chilou was wondering if there was something on her face, she heard her say: “Tidy up and come downstairs for dinner.”
As soon as she finished speaking, she turned and left.
She left quickly. Jiang Chilou could only shout after her: “Got it.”
The next morning, Jiang Chilou woke up a little late. When she went downstairs, Gu Wan had already left for work.
After breakfast, thinking about the coffee shop, she couldn’t help but sit cross-legged on the living room sofa with her laptop. Amidst the clicking of keys, she quickly drew up a plan.
Jiang Chilou put down her laptop, took a sip of yogurt, and was staring intently at the renovation companies in her plan when Madam Zhou came over to ask: “Madam, we made some tea snacks this morning. Would you like to try some?”
“Sure.”
“Please bring the tea snacks to the pavilion in the courtyard later, thank you.”
“Yes.” Madam Zhou turned to leave, but then heard Jiang Chilou suddenly speak: “Oh, wait.”
“Madam Zhou, do you know which renovation companies are good?”
Madam Zhou turned, smiling apologetically: “Madam, you’ll probably have to ask Butler Lin about that. She’s more familiar with these things.”
“I see…” Jiang Chilou pondered for a few seconds: “I understand, you go on and attend to your duties.”
Not long after.
In the garden pavilion, Jiang Chilou’s appetite was whetted by the sight of the exquisitely crafted Longjing Tea Cakes, Peach Pastries, Lychee Pastries, and Rose Cakes on the plate.
She poured herself a cup of Biluochun tea, preparing to slowly sip it with the pastries.
But before drinking, she couldn’t resist taking two photos to share on her Moments.
At that very moment, Gu Wan had just finished an international video conference and was about to continue working. However, while moving her mouse, she accidentally switched to her private WeChat account.
She was about to exit, but paused when she saw Jiang Chilou’s profile picture appear with a new post notification on the Moments tab.
She tapped on Moments, and Jiang Chilou’s post immediately popped up.
“The weather is nice today. [Picture][Picture]”
Gu Wan tapped on the two pictures. One showed the plentiful tea snacks, and the other showed cute cloud shapes drifting across a clear blue sky.
It is indeed excellent weather.
She’s certainly having a good time at home by herself.
Gu Wan glanced at the time, swiped her finger, exited Moments, and sent a message to Butler Lin.
A few minutes later, Butler Lin found Jiang Chilou and asked with a smile: “Madam, do you have time at noon?”
Jiang Chilou was puzzled but nodded honestly: “Yes, what is it?”
Butler Lin smiled extremely kindly: “It’s almost lunchtime. If it’s convenient for you, could you please deliver lunch to CEO Gu?”
