The Crybaby Alpha is Actually Really Cool - Chapter 6
Xu Lingguang was the center of attention since childhood, the kind of person that a group of people would always gather around. He particularly couldn’t stand being ignored while others clustered together in the same space.
But when asked to join in and help clean up the mess of trash he and Wen Yuchen had made, he was very resistant. Not to mention he had never done it, the simple act of taking the initiative made Xu Lingguang feel like he would lose face.
While he was going back and forth, Wen Yuchen had already bagged the packaging trash and was taking the dirty plates to wash.
Watching Wen Yuchen’s back, Xu Lingguang breathed a sigh of relief, but in the next second, he was asked for a talk by Cheng Shu, and the two went together to the rooftop of the dormitory building at Nanfeng.
“What are they going to do?” Xiong Yan scratched his head. Could it be that Cheng Shu knew that arrogant fellow? Why else would they talk secretly behind everyone’s back?
You Xiaoxi was more perceptive than him. “What else could it be? He finds him unpleasant and wants to talk to him about it. Did you really think it was fine for him to act like a boss just now?”
For a dormitory to have a harmonious relationship, no one can be high and mighty. Cheng Shu clearly seemed like the type of person who likes to worry and meddle.
“Of course, it’s not fine!” Xiong Yan clenched his fist. “If Brother Cheng hadn’t stopped me, I would have wanted to beat him up. Qingyao, what do you think?”
Ruan Qingyao looked at the fist that was half the size of his head, and the hand holding the bunny plush tightened silently. After a small gulp, he said, “No one likes a high-and-mighty and lazy person. However, he was probably spoiled by his family. I believe he will turn over a new leaf under everyone’s influence. After all, they are all roommates. If an irreconcilable conflict really arises, everyone will be uncomfortable.”
Xiong Yan nodded. “Qingyao, you know so much. Anyway, I’ll just follow everyone’s pace, and I won’t be wrong.”
Ruan Qingyao looked at You Xiaoxi, and You Xiaoxi also nodded. “Anyway, we only live together for one year. It’s not too late to teach him a lesson after a year.”
Xiong Yan clenched his fist again.
Ruan Qingyao was just thinking that the two of them were quite easy to talk to, but that fist immediately put him off. No need to rush, one by one. First, turn Cheng Shu into a good friend, and Wen Yuchen into a good little brother.
Not long after, an unfamiliar person wearing a drill sergeant’s uniform came to knock on the door to deliver some things. As soon as he saw the interior of Dormitory 201, his eyes went wide. He had been in Juntan for eight years and had never lived in such a nice place. No, he had to go ask what was going on.
The drill sergeant suddenly appeared and then hurried away, leaving behind a pile of things.
The three of Ruan Qingyao gathered around the pile of things. After a thorough cleanup, they looked through them. “These are uniforms. There are names on the bags. Let’s put them on the bedside tables for everyone first.”
Xiong Yan and You Xiaoxi nodded. “Okay.”
There were nine sets of uniforms for each person—two sets for spring, summer, autumn, and winter, and one set of ceremonial attire. These were the main items.
Ruan Qingyao used his index finger to sift through the rest, which were ten sets of two-finger-thick books, with the four characters “New Recruit Manual” written on the cover, and a thin rectangular card with the words “Meal Card” on it.
These two types of things didn’t have names written on them, so they must all be the same. They distributed one of each, placing them all on the bedside tables.
Xiong Yan and You Xiaoxi didn’t care. They directly tore open the bags to try on the size and effect of the clothing. For Ruan Qingyao, new clothes had to be washed before being worn. At the same time, he also remembered that his dirty clothes hadn’t been washed.
He didn’t want to go near that kind of laundry room or bathroom even one step, but he couldn’t keep from using the toilet or water forever. It seemed he hadn’t brought a toilet or anything of the sort, and it was impossible to re-install one.
It was truly frustrating. Did he have to force himself to adapt?
Just then, Wen Yuchen returned with the clean plates.
Ruan Qingyao looked at the still-dripping plates and suddenly jumped off the bed. “Yuchen, where did you wash the plates?”
Wen Yuchen pointed outside the window: “There’s a row of open-air faucets on the east side of the dormitory building. I couldn’t find a washroom in our dormitory building.”
Ruan Qingyao breathed a huge sigh of relief. “That’s good.”
He pulled out a dishcloth. “Wipe the water dry.”
After thinking for a moment, Ruan Qingyao found a storage rack and put it in the empty space. “Let’s put the plates here. It will be convenient for everyone to take them.”
Wen Yuchen said “Mhm.” “I’ll put them there after I wipe them dry.”
“Thank you for your hard work.”
After complimenting Wen Yuchen a bit more, Ruan Qingyao looked around and felt that everything was more or less done. He went out of the dormitory building to check the situation, handed his clothes over to the household robot, and came back to bed, hugging the bunny plush to read the “New Recruit Manual.”
Wen Yuchen looked at Ruan Qingyao, who was focused on reading with his chin resting on the bunny’s head, and the word “cute” flashed in his mind. He then shook his head. What was cute or not cute about an Alpha?
