The Crybaby Always Wants to Redeem the Villainess - Chapter 15
After being warmly welcomed, Xiao Yi led Gu Zhirou to rest.
As they entered the small courtyard, Xiao Yi pointed to a nearby room and said, “Xiao Rou’er, you sleep there, and I’ll sleep here. If you need anything, come find Elder Sister!”
Gu Zhirou glanced at the room, then clung tightly to Xiao Yi’s arm, refusing to let go. “No! Rou’er’s scared! Rou’er wants to sleep with Elder Sister!”
“Xiao Rou’er, be good. There are plenty of rooms; you can choose any you like. Two people in one room would be too cramped.” This little girl is so clingy, Xiao Yi thought.
“But Elder Sister, this is a bandit’s lair! Isn’t it natural for Rou’er to be afraid?” She was genuinely terrified of these ruthless bandits.
“Don’t worry, Xiao Rou’er. I’m in charge here now. They won’t dare harm you. Just relax and stay here.”
“Elder Sister, they only fear you, not me. They’re still bandits, after all. With my frail health, I’m afraid I’ll get sick from the fright.”
Xiao Yi…Â Hmm, she has a point.
“Alright then, let’s go!”
After returning to the room and washing up, it was already late into the night. Xiao Yi frowned at the single bed in the room. One bed? How are we supposed to sleep?
Never mind, never mind. This delicate young lady can’t possibly compare to me.
“Xiao Rou’er, you take the bed.”
“Oh, okay. Then where will Elder Sister sleep?” What does she mean? Where will Elder Sister sleep? What does she mean by ‘you take the bed’? Won’t Elder Sister sleep?
“I’ll just sleep on the floor.” Even I have some decency left. I can’t possibly take the bed from a young girl, especially such a cute one!
“Elder Sister, you can sleep with me! We’re both girls, it’s fine.”
“No, no,” Xiao Yi waved her hands dismissively. “It’ll be too cramped. You sleep!” With practiced ease, she spread a mat on the floor and lay down.
Gu Zhirou watched, biting her lip. Does Elder Sister dislike me? Why else wouldn’t she sleep with me?
Though feeling wronged, Zhirou knew arguing would be futile. She reluctantly lay down on the bed and drifted off to sleep.
Exhausted, she fell asleep the moment her head hit the pillow.
Xiao Yi, accustomed to sleeping alone in comfort, found sleeping on the floor extremely uncomfortable.
Yet she couldn’t join Zhirou in bed, fearing it would frighten the girl. After all, her reputation as a notorious female bully preceded her.
So she tossed and turned restlessly on the makeshift floor mattress, unable to sleep, and scratched her head in frustration.
Half-asleep, Zhirou heard faint rustling beside her. She opened her eyes and saw Xiao Yi still awake, staring blankly at the ceiling.
“Elder Sister, come sleep with me,” Zhirou murmured. “You’re so uncomfortable on the floor. This bed is big enough for both of us.”
“You want me to sleep with you?” Xiao Yi teased. “Aren’t you afraid I’ll bully you? I’m known as the nation’s most notorious female bully—I prey on both men and women!”
“I trust you won’t hurt Rou’er,” Zhirou insisted. “Elder Sister, please come up. I won’t regret it, even if you do something… Rou’er would still want you.”
Xiao Yi… She wasn’t that much of a beast!
“You said it yourself, you’re not afraid!”
“Of course I’m not afraid of Elder Sister! I’m afraid everyone else won’t be afraid of her!”
Hearing this, Xiao Yi swiftly climbed into bed, pulled the covers up, and closed her eyes. They left a space between them large enough for one person.
“Elder Sister, did Rou’er make you angry? Why are you so far away from me?” Gu Zhirou stared at the gap between them, feeling like they were separated by the Chu-Han River.
“What are you thinking? Just go to sleep. It’s late. I just prefer sleeping on the edge. Now hurry up and sleep!” This little girl has too many thoughts.
“Oh, okay.” Gu Zhirou reached out and gently tugged on Xiao Yi’s sleeve.
Xiao Yi tugged back, but when she saw the girl’s crestfallen expression, as if she were about to cry, she stopped.
Xiao Yi glanced at her sleeve, then at Gu Zhirou. Normally, in such situations, she would either lash out immediately or already be furious. Why did she now feel compelled to indulge this girl?
I’m bewitched! Bewitched!
Ever since meeting this little girl, my explosive temper has been completely useless!
Gu Zhirou whispered, “Elder Sister, Rou’er is scared.”
Xiao Yi was utterly speechless. “Fine, fine, just hold on!”
Having achieved her goal, Gu Zhirou quickly fell asleep. But Xiao Yi suffered, unable to turn over with Gu Zhirou clutching her sleeve, no position comfortable enough to sleep!
Gu Zhirou slept soundly through the night.
Xiao Yi remained awake the entire night!
The next morning, Gu Zhirou woke groggily, the sunlight piercing her eyes. She reached for the edge of the bed and found it empty. Sitting up, she saw Xiao Yi was gone, the bed beside her cold, indicating she had been gone for quite some time.
After getting dressed, Gu Zhirou went outside to look for her. After searching everywhere without success, she headed to the front courtyard.
There, she witnessed a scene so shocking, she would never forget it for the rest of her life!
A group of burly men stood naked, their bare buttocks thrust skyward. Behind them, several people had tied strings to leaves, suspending them above the men’s exposed backsides.
On the other side, another group of men stood urinating, competing to see who could pee the farthest.
At that moment, Xiao Yi, standing in the middle, announced, “Whoever pees the farthest gets a reward! And whoever can fart hard enough to blow the leaves behind them gets a reward too!”
The bandits stood at a distance, laughing as they watched the spectacle. Two bandits passing by Gu Zhirou’s side said, “This female tyrant sure knows how to have fun!”
“Of course! What else would you expect from a female tyrant?”
Gu Zhirou seethed with anger. Ayi, how could you? How could you watch this? How could you look at men’s bare buttocks? How dare you watch them urinate? Ayi wasn’t like this before!
Just as she was about to speak, a series of pfft, pfft, pfft sounds erupted—farts mingling with the laughter of the bandits and the hissing of men urinating.
“Ah! Xiao Yi, what are you doing? You… you…” Gu Zhirou sputtered, pointing at them furiously, finally managing to choke out four words: “Shameless! Immoral!”
Damn, I went too far.
Seeing the group still standing there dumbfounded, Xiao Yi roared, “What are you gawking at? Get the hell out of here!”
In an instant, men scrambled to pull up their pants, grab whatever they could to cover themselves, and flee in chaotic disarray.
Xiao Yi awkwardly tugged at her hair and walked over to Gu Zhirou. “Rou’er, be good. Turn around and don’t look, okay? Let’s go back inside!”
As she spoke, Xiao Yi gently nudged Gu Zhirou into the room. Noticing the girl’s reddened eyes, she quickly added, “Rou’er, I know I messed up. I was wrong!”
“Xiao Yi, do you even realize what you’re doing? You’re a girl, and you… you… you…” Gu Zhirou trailed off, too embarrassed to finish.
“You’re a girl! Don’t you know the basic rules of modesty? Aren’t you ashamed? How could you let me see that? Even playing around has its limits!” Gu Zhirou’s voice trembled with tears.
Xiao Yi knew she had likely traumatized the young girl. She had clearly gone too far this time.
She had only intended to prank those men, without thinking much about it. She hadn’t expected Gu Zhirou to wake up so early, let alone witness that scene. She had assumed everything would be over before Zhirou woke up!
“You can’t do this again! No more being a bully! You need to be a proper General Xiao!” Gu Zhirou sobbed, her voice breaking with hurt.
Xiao Yi neither nodded nor denied it. Zhirou stared in disbelief. “Ayi, what do you mean? Are you planning to be a tyrant forever?”
Xiao Yi lowered her head, her lips pressed into a tight line. It wasn’t that she refused to agree, but she was trapped by her own circumstances. As a tyrant, she had to maintain her reputation and command absolute obedience.
She couldn’t promise to be a proper General Xiao. Gu Zhirou was, after all, a member of the Gu Family. If Zhirou discovered that Xiao Yi’s entire persona was a facade, their carefully laid plans would crumble.
Gritting her teeth, Xiao Yi said, “Xiao Rou’er knows Elder Sister is a tyrant. How could a tyrant possibly avoid doing bad things? You need to get used to it, not lecture me about how I should behave. If you can’t accept it, then stay away from me in the future. I told you from the start that I earned my title as the Celestial Profound Kingdom’s number one tyrant. Don’t expect too much from me. You can leave right now if you want. I won’t stop you. I’ll even escort you back. From now on, we’ll have nothing to do with each other!”
