A bone-chilling cold hit her heart.

The coldness slowly climbed up from her ankle to her back, then up to her neck. Goosebumps instantly appeared on her skin.

A hand suddenly rested on her shoulder.

Fu You’s body instinctively trembled, and then she froze. She could clearly feel that the hand on her shoulder was completely cold, so cold that it was chilling to the bone.

“Excuse me, student, but I didn’t see any heart. If your heart is missing, I suggest you call the police or take some zinc supplements. I won’t be playing hide-and-seek with your heart~”

The female ghost didn’t say anything. She just lifted her hand on Fu You’s shoulder, wanting to pierce her chest. But Fu You disappeared.

She was stunned. Her cold hand was left hanging in the air.

Had she run into a peer?

Fu You was also stunned. She looked at the environment in front of her, and she was a little uncertain as she looked around.

After observing her surroundings, she confirmed that she was in the school’s dorm building.

She put the dagger in her pocket and felt the small card with the drawing of a leopard cat. When she took it out, the small card was in two halves.

If that was the case, then everything made sense. She had used a small card with the ability of the leopard cat monster. It could probably only be used once, and it could randomly teleport her to any location in the dungeon when she was in danger.

She looked up and saw a number written in red paint on the wall next to the staircase. A big number 5 came into view. She turned her head and looked at the hallway. She should be on the fifth floor of the dorm building.

In the dungeon memories that had been implanted in her, her dorm should be on the third floor, something like 305.

She walked down the hallway toward the stairs. She happened to pass a public restroom in the middle of the hallway and accidentally overheard a conversation that was deliberately being kept quiet.

They probably didn’t realize that in such a quiet place, where there was no soundproofing, the sound of their conversation would inevitably be heard by others.

“What’s wrong with you? How long will it take you to see her at this rate?”

She lifted her foot, ready to continue toward the stairs. Creak! The restroom door opened.

A handsome young boy came out.

He looked up at Fu You. Fu You looked at him, too. Their eyes met, and his eyes flashed with a hint of excitement.

Normally, shouldn’t he be shocked to see Fu You in a boys’ dorm, especially at the restroom door? Why was he excited?

Besides, it was past lights-out. Everyone should be asleep. It wasn’t normal to have that kind of expression when he saw a girl standing outside a boys’ dorm restroom at this hour…

Fu You didn’t know what to say, so she turned around and gave him an awkward smile. “If I say I took a wrong turn, would you believe me?”

Fu Lu didn’t say anything. He just gave her a small smile. Only then did Fu You notice that he had dimples. He already looked very cute, but he looked even cuter when he smiled.

“Of course I believe you, Sister Fu You. I’ll believe anything you say. Oh, I’m sorry. Do you not like me calling you that?”

Fu Lu had subconsciously added the suffix to her name. He had never called her that in front of her. He only called her that in private. Now, standing in front of her, it just slipped out. After he said it, he felt a little rude.

Before Fu You could even say anything, his face and ears turned red as if he had a high fever. He quickly bowed to apologize to her. His eyes kept darting around, not daring to make eye contact with Fu You.

From his cute and handsome appearance, his height of 5’11”, and his conversation with the other person in the restroom, Fu You temporarily put him on her list of potential Bosses.

“It’s okay. It’s late. You should go to bed. I’ll be leaving now.”

“Sister Fu You, wait a minute.”

She had just turned around when Fu Lu called out to her again. Her nerves suddenly tensed up. No way. Is she being caught by the Boss again? Is she going to be silenced again?

Fu You quickly reached into her pocket, fumbling around to see if there were any more small cards that could allow her to flash-step or disappear.

“What’s wrong?”

“Sister Fu You, if you don’t mind, you can stay in my dorm for the night.” Fu Lu’s attitude was very sincere. “At this hour, the dorm entrance is already locked. The dorm supervisor is probably already dreaming. You shouldn’t trouble her, Sister Fu You.”

His eyes were clean and pure, with a kind of magic that made people unconditionally believe whatever he said, as if he had cast a spell on them.

“But it’s already so late. If I go to your dorm, will your roommate be okay with it? Won’t it be awkward?”

“Sister, don’t worry. I’m the only one living in this dorm.” Fu Lu paused and then continued with his head down, “If Sister is worried that I’ll do something to you,” he looked up at Fu You with his clear eyes, “I can actually just make do at the door, as long as Sister can sleep peacefully.”

He suddenly raised his hand and made a gesture of a promise. “I promise I won’t do anything Sister doesn’t like.”

Fu You couldn’t help but lean closer to him and whisper in his ear. Her breath went into his ear. She deliberately lowered her voice and said, “Little one, you misunderstood. I’m not afraid of what you’ll do to me…”

I’m afraid of what I’ll do to you…

The warm air lingered around Fu Lu’s ear, making his already flushed face and ears even redder. The tips of his ears were especially red as if they were filled with bl00d.

Fu Lu wasn’t a child. He was a full-grown adult. He naturally understood what Fu You meant.

He was still so scared that he took a few steps back until his back was against the restroom door.

Fu You looked at him. The little junior had been out here for so long, but there was no movement from inside. She didn’t care who was inside, or if there was even anyone. What she cared about was the “new target” that the person inside had mentioned.

She took a few more steps toward Fu Lu, almost pressing against him. She placed one hand on the restroom door with a bang! “Why is your face so red?”

It was obvious that she was asking a question she already knew the answer to.

But even with that, there was still no movement from inside the restroom.

“Sister, I… I’m not. You just got too close to me all of a sudden. I felt… I felt a little hot…”

Fu You smiled. She bent her slender finger and lightly tapped on the door. It made a faint knocking sound.

Still no response. She gave up on teasing him, took her hand back, and took two steps back. “Where is your dorm?”

Fu Lu was still against the door. He was a little dazed. He walked away from the door with his face red and took small steps toward her, replying softly, “Follow me.”

His dorm was at the end of the hallway, dorm 513.

The door was pushed open with a creak! Just as Fu Lu had said, there was only one bed with a comforter and sheets on it. The other beds were empty and had nothing on them.

Fu Lu stood by the door and turned on the lights. The bright light didn’t bring any warmth to Fu You.

It was currently the peak of summer, but the dorm was unusually cool. She looked around and didn’t see any air conditioning unit.

Was she out of date?

“If you don’t mind, Sister, you can sleep here.”

Fu Lu walked to the bed in the back. It had a comforter on it, so it must be his bed. Fu You looked at his bed. It was very tidy. The sheets were white and gray, mostly gray with white accents.

The blanket was folded into a neat rectangle, and there was a doll wearing small clothes on the pillow.

Fu Lu seemed to notice that Fu You was looking at the doll. He scratched his head shyly and pointed at the doll. “Um, Sister, don’t get the wrong idea. Someone gave that to me. I didn’t buy it myself…”

Fu You raised an eyebrow and asked with a smile, “Your ex-girlfriend?”

Fu Lu instinctively intertwined his fingers. He lowered his head, not daring to look at Fu You. He slowly moved a couple of steps toward the desk until he was leaning against it.

“Hmm?”

Fu You took two steps forward and stood by the bed. The doll wearing the cute clothes was right beside her.

When Fu Lu was asked, he nodded honestly. “Y-yes…”

Fu You sat on the edge of the bed very naturally. She picked up the doll next to the pillow and held it in her hands. She crossed her legs, rested her elbows on them, and looked up at him, teasing,

“You’ve broken up, but you still keep the doll she gave you. It looks like you really liked your ex-girlfriend, little one.”

Fu Lu instantly looked up, his eyes a little dim. He gave a shy smile. “Sister, don’t get the wrong idea. That’s all in the past. This doll…”

“This doll is the only thing she left behind in this world. So… I… I’ve been keeping it…”
