“I have one more question.”

Fu Lu suppressed the rage in his heart. His eyes gradually grew cold as he looked up at the middle-aged man. “Who, exactly, is Xun Lu?”

He had started to feel suspicious a long time ago. If Xun Lu was his girlfriend, why didn’t he have a single memory of her, or any feelings for her? The feeling was completely different from how he felt about Fu You.

He couldn’t even recall what this girl named Xun Lu looked like. Due to his trust in these so-called friends, he had never questioned them to their faces, even when he had doubts.

“Xun Lu? Xun Lu is your girlfriend!” The man seemed to sense that something was wrong. He felt that the Fu Lu standing in front of him wasn’t the same as before, but he couldn’t pinpoint what was different.

“I heard you found the final sacrifice for the resurrection. But Fu Lu, why haven’t you done anything yet? You know that if you just gouge out that girl’s eyes, everything will go back to the way it was!”

“Shut up, all of you!”

Fu Lu couldn’t take it anymore. He carefully thought back on his actions. His physical body was destroyed by humans, which broke the seal and allowed these evil spirits to escape.

So, the group of ghosts he had saved in the beginning wasn’t good. They plundered, murdered, and were full of tricks. They looked down on humans. They killed many innocent people in this school just to satisfy their own pleasure.

But ever since the day he woke up and gained consciousness, he had been with these people. These menacing ghosts used his kind nature to deceive him and even make him…

Fu Lu’s head ached from what these ghosts were saying. All the emotions that had been piling up ignited the moment they mentioned Fu You. He wouldn’t allow it. He wouldn’t allow anyone to say anything bad about his sister, not even a single bad thought.

He exploded. His hands began to emit an unprecedented blue-green light, and his body glowed with a golden light that spread out, radiating pure righteousness. The righteous energy caught the hypocrites on the lake off guard, and the spirits of some of the weaker ghosts were instantly destroyed.

But many ghosts still survived. They stood in the back, and seeing that the situation was bad, they instinctively dove into the lake, narrowly escaping. Some of the ghosts who weren’t afraid of dying pulled out the swords from their waists and charged at Fu Lu.

Even though his physical body was damaged, Fu Lu could still unleash two-thirds of his power, but this was his limit. His power was draining very quickly. To prevent them from seeing that he was out of breath, he held on with all his might.

“Fu Lu, what are you doing? Have you forgotten how we’ve treated you? Are you going to let us down? Are you going to let down Miss Xun Lu?”

Fu Lu’s heart was filled with despair. He felt like he had done so many wrong things. For that so-called girlfriend, he had killed so many people and stolen the organs that belonged to the living. But now he realized that if he hadn’t met Fu You, that person might have already been resurrected.

He was a sinner.

“Today, I’ll put an end to all of you. I was originally a spirit that suppressed evil and cleansed filth. I never thought I would be used by evil spirits to this extent. I have failed my comrades and my country. I have failed the heavens and the earth. Today, I’ll use myself as a sacrifice to atone for my sins and to pay tribute to the souls of the dead. Fu You gradually opened her eyes. If she didn’t, she would have fallen asleep. Who plays a cat-and-mouse game in the middle of the night? That’s right, she did.

Suddenly, a girl’s figure passed through her body. Her throat was being choked by an enemy. Her legs were kicking in midair. Fu You wanted to go forward and grab her, but her hand could only pass through the girl’s body.

She was startled. Her eyes were suddenly pierced by a light. The next second, she opened her eyes and realized that she was just a ghost, a ghost who was seeing this scene. She could only watch and do nothing.

Her voice seemed to have some kind of magic. It instantly captured all of Fu Lu’s attention. Even his eyes became clear, without the ferocity he had a moment ago.

Xun Lu held the umbrella with one hand and a small doll with the other. In the blink of an eye, she was in front of Fu Lu. Her face was covered in thick makeup. She looked at him affectionately. “A’Fu, what is this? What misunderstanding caused you all to kill each other here??”

The light gradually dimmed, and the lightning also faded. Fu Lu answered with a bit of a wronged tone, “Xun Lu… I…” He wanted to answer something, but he couldn’t remember. His mind was now a blank slate. He didn’t remember why he came here. He didn’t remember why he was fighting with everyone. He couldn’t remember anything.

Xun Lu’s words and her affectionate eyes occupied all of his attention. His only thought now was that he had to take Xun Lu and leave this place.

As she spoke, Xun Lu put the doll in Fu Lu’s arms, held his arm, and led him toward the male dorm.
