The Domineering CEO, but a Crybaby! - Chapter 14
Chapter 14: Let’s Play Something New
“Ding ding ding, a wonderful night has begun. Host, are you ready? The new plot is about to start.”
He Shu’s footsteps on the stairs paused. Why did this electronic voice sound a pitch higher than before?
What was with the happy and excited tone?
“What wonderful night? I’ll probably be a corpse by morning!”
He Shu had read the original plot in advance this time and knew what suicidal act she was about to perform…
“Host, you can do it! The script has been sent. Please go to the designated location as soon as possible.”
I can’t do it at all. On the way back, she had done a lot of mental preparation and self-comfort.
But none of it worked.
She had hoped that Cen Qianyi would run away on her own, but she was disappointed.
There was no other way. She had to be quick about it!
Fortunately, after getting through tonight’s plot, she would sleep and it would be tomorrow. After getting through tomorrow’s plot and sleeping again, it would be the day after.
By the day after tomorrow, she would be completely free!
He Shu took a deep breath and pushed open the red door. She was caught off guard, coming face to face with the person inside.
Her gaze trembled, and He Shu stopped in her tracks.
This was a little different from what she had expected. Every time she had pushed the door open before, Cen Qianyi was lying down with her eyes closed.
Seeing her suddenly sitting with her knees hugged, facing the door as if she was waiting specifically for her, her scalp instantly tingled.
She was no longer wearing the sportswear from the hospital. She had changed back into the white camisole nightgown she wore in the room. A large area of her pale skin was completely exposed to the air.
He Shu could still see a patch of obviously different skin tone on her joined legs… The redness from the hospital burn hadn’t faded after a whole day. Hadn’t she applied the medicine herself later?
He Shu’s gaze moved up and met those light purple eyes again. Cen Qianyi’s gaze was no longer misplaced.
This time, her gaze fell directly on He Shu’s face. Although it wasn’t sharp, this unexpected contact made He Shu’s heart thump violently, as if it had been fiercely squeezed.
A bad feeling also welled up in her heart. She had a feeling something was going to happen tonight…
“Ding ding ding, the host has arrived at the designated location. The plot has officially begun. Friendly reminder, not a single word of the script’s lines can be changed. You cannot leave the designated location before completing the plot.”
He Shu was well aware of these rules. She felt that this deliberate emphasis was the system’s way of warning her, as if it had sensed she wanted to run.
She did want to run, but she also knew she couldn’t. Fortunately, she didn’t feel any killing intent, so for now, she probably wouldn’t die.
He Shu took a deep breath and closed the door as she walked in.
Cen Qianyi finally waited for the person she had been waiting for. In the afternoon at the hospital, she had found some useful information that she could use to confirm whether the person in front of her was the ‘He Shu’ from the data.
She had been waiting for the person to come back, waiting to confirm her guess.
Watching the person slowly approach, Cen Qianyi narrowed her eyes. This person was wearing the same clothes as when they parted in the morning, but they were no longer as neat. The hem of the shirt and the pant legs were a bit wrinkled, and the person looked a little tired.
As the person got closer, Cen Qianyi also smelled a unique disinfectant scent from the police station. Had this person just been released from the police station?
This was a bit surprising. Generally, for someone with He Shu’s wealth and status, they could get out after a brief formality.
Who did she offend?
Her gaze fell on that face. The woman’s face was expressionless, but it was clear she was deliberately holding back. It even seemed like she was clenching her teeth, and the muscles in her face were a bit tight.
With every step He Shu took, she gritted her teeth and told herself to hold on, just a little longer. As long as she got through tomorrow, she would be fine. But the closer she got to those light purple eyes, the more He Shu felt like she was about to fall into an abyss.
But even though she knew there was an abyss of eternal damnation ahead, He Shu had no choice but to walk forward. Finally, she squatted down in the abyss, no, she squatted in front of Cen Qianyi.
“Babe, why are you looking at me like that? Doesn’t it feel good to be able to see again?”
He Shu followed the prompt, lifted Cen Qianyi’s chin a little, and spoke the lines, which were more than a little perverted, in a dry, super-fast tone.
“Babe, you better cherish it. If you make me unhappy, those eyes won’t just be blind next time.”
Cen Qianyi looked at the person close in front of her and blinked. There she goes again… this person was starting to say those very suicidal words again.
But this time, it was a little different from before.
Why wasn’t she crying?
He Shu was thankful she didn’t feel any killing intent, otherwise, she might have stuttered. There was no response from the other person in this part of the script, so she quickly recited all the lines in one go without taking a breath.
“Babe, remember to be a good plaything! If I’m happy, not only will you be able to see, but I’ll also let you have some freedom!”
As she said this, she rattled the chains that bound Cen Qianyi. The other hand, which had been holding Cen Qianyi’s chin, let go and quickly stroked the other’s face.
“Are you happy to be able to see?”
She answered her own question: “Since you’re happy, we should celebrate! Tonight, we’re going to play something different!”
After saying all the lines and completing all the actions in one breath, He Shu let out a heavy sigh. Ignoring Cen Qianyi’s reaction, she got up and walked toward the tool room.
Cen Qianyi: …
As the top bounty hunter in the Bounty Alliance, she rarely had moments when she couldn’t react in time. But this woman, who came slowly and left in a hurry, was not the first person to make her unable to react in time.
What was wrong with her?
She talked as if she was wound up. She was asking questions but didn’t wait for answers. Her speed was astonishingly fast.
What kind of stimulation did she get at the police station?
Was she bullied?
Didn’t she bring a whole team of lawyers?
Watching the woman open the small door that led to the adjacent room, Cen Qianyi gently bit the inside of her cheek, her eyes full of confusion.
What did she say just now?
Playing something different?
Playing what?
Playing with death!
He Shu looked at the items she was prompted to get and felt that whether her life would last today was truly uncertain.
She could only pray that her usefulness was great, and that Cen Qianyi still needed her for a while.
After getting the blindfold, gag, and handcuffs, He Shu walked over to the cabinet full of candles.
Oh my goodness, how was she supposed to choose? How could there be so many types of candles?
With the blindfold, gag, and handcuffs, she could at least roughly tell the difference in materials and had some idea. She tried her best to choose things that looked comfortable and not torturous.
But now, this cabinet of candles… what was the difference? The shapes?
A few of them were indeed very beautiful. Some were shaped like flowers and plants, such as red roses and white camellias. There were also some shaped like cute animals, like little yellow ducks and white swans…
How was she supposed to choose? He Shu felt like she had entered a knowledge blind spot…
There were no instructions on the cabinet either.
As she hesitated, the ominous countdown timer sounded in her mind again, reminding her to hurry back and continue the plot.
There was no other way. He Shu took off her jacket and used it as a bundle, trying to take as many candles from the cabinet as possible. When her jacket couldn’t hold any more, and time was running out, she ran back to the pet room.
Cen Qianyi looked at the person who had left inexplicably and came back in a hurry. Seeing her current appearance, her eyes curved slightly upwards.
The situation was once again beyond her expectations.
The situation was also a little out of He Shu’s control. She had taken too many candles, and her jacket couldn’t hold them. They fell all the way as she ran.
When she got back to the pet room and closed the door, two more fell. One of them, a little yellow duck-shaped candle, rolled and tumbled and ended up at Cen Qianyi’s bare foot.
He Shu was flustered and went to pick it up, but a pale hand got there first.
Looking at the object in Cen Qianyi’s palm, He Shu’s heart was filled with the sound of a thousand ducks quacking, each one seeming to be sending her off to her death.
She couldn’t immediately kneel down and turn back. She was forced to go all the way down this dark path.
“Babe, let’s play something fun before bed.”
He Shu put all the things on the ground. Cen Qianyi almost instantly recognized that these oddly shaped things were candles.
So many candles, what were they going to play with?
A birthday party, blowing out candles?
He Shu met those confused light purple eyes and silently lit a few candles for herself.
She took the blindfold from the pile of things and her eyes turned red with nervousness as she looked at Cen Qianyi.
“Babe, it’s more fun when you can’t see.”
She said this while trembling, and was about to put the blindfold on Cen Qianyi, but she was also very afraid that the person would suddenly get up and kill her.
Fortunately, Cen Qianyi didn’t make any moves and just watched her quietly.
Cen Qianyi looked at the person whose eyes had turned red again. While surprised, she inexplicably felt that her intuition was right.
She let the other person put the blindfold on her. With her vision gone, Cen Qianyi gripped the candle in her hand. Just as she was about to ask what the other person was doing, something was shoved into her mouth.
Cen Qianyi instinctively wanted to dodge and spit it out, but she unexpectedly heard a sob.
After He Shu put the blindfold on Cen Qianyi, her tears began to fall heavily.
Before, when Cen Qianyi couldn’t see, even though her actions were a bit shameful, she could at least comfort herself that no one was watching.
Now that Cen Qianyi could see, her actions felt like she was being exposed on camera. She was flustered, embarrassed, ashamed, and wanted to die.
“To prevent you from screaming too loudly, babe, let’s put this on.”
The tearful voice entered Cen Qianyi’s ear, pressing close. Cen Qianyi bit down on the object in her mouth. The texture was very similar to the object she had in her mouth when she woke up at the hospital.
It was indeed the same thing. He Shu had also chosen the same material, but this time, she took a purple ball-shaped one.
After He Shu buckled the leather strap, she adjusted it. It wasn’t very tight, but it ensured that Cen Qianyi couldn’t break free.
“Be a good girl, babe. If you drop it, there will be a punishment.”
After He Shu said that, she took a deep sniff. She felt that she was the one being punished right now. Why did she have to do this? She really didn’t have this kind of hobby!
While crying, He Shu quickly turned Cen Qianyi around and laid her on the mat.
Fortunately, the other person probably still wanted to maintain her innocent persona and didn’t lose control. He Shu quickly put handcuffs on both of her hands and cuffed her to the special metal bars on the wall.
She pushed aside Cen Qianyi’s hair that was scattered on her shoulders, revealing her entire back. He Shu reached out and gently poked it.
“Babe, lie still and don’t move. You might get hurt if you move around.”
Cen Qianyi’s breath was against the mat. Feeling the tingling sensation from the person’s hand on her back, she probably knew what this woman was going to do…
But she wasn’t entirely sure. She had had a few experiences before where what she thought the other person was going to do turned out to be a misunderstanding.
It was hard to think about this woman using normal logic.
For example, right now, she was clearly the one being restrained, but the one crying was this woman.
‘Click,’ Cen Qianyi’s ears twitched. It sounded like a lighter. Then a smoky smell came, not pungent, and even a little fragrant.
But soon, the smell of the burning candle became stronger, and the scent became less pleasant.
Cen Qianyi tilted her head, wanting to use her hearing to figure out what the person was doing, but after putting her in this position, the other person was silent for a long time.
When she finally heard some movement, it was a gasp.
“Hiss—”
He Shu hugged her arm, in so much pain that she bent over. What kind of candle was this? It was scalding hot!
She desperately patted off the dripping wax on her arm. Looking at the red mark on her skin, she felt a mixture of pain and relief.
Good thing she thought of experimenting on her own arm first. If she had dripped it directly on Cen Qianyi’s back, it would have surely burned her!
Her skin was so delicate; the red mark from the coffee this morning was still there.
This wax was much hotter than that coffee!
He Shu wiped away her tears and put out the beautiful rose-shaped candle. Beautiful things were indeed dangerous.
From the lit candles on the side, He Shu took a white camellia-shaped candle. If the red one was hot, maybe the white one wasn’t.
He Shu held her breath and carefully tilted it over her arm. A drop of wax fell on He Shu’s arm, blooming like a camellia.
“Hiss—”
It really hurt!
He Shu’s tears, which she had just managed to stop, started to fall again.
This wasn’t it either. He Shu bit her lip and put it out, then tried the next one.
Soon, both of He Shu’s arms were red and scalded. She finally found one that wasn’t too hot before the countdown ended.
This not-too-hot candle was a very ordinary red candle, about the thickness of a wrist and the height of a cup. It also had a faint, pleasant scent.
Cen Qianyi couldn’t see, she could only hear the woman’s gasps. Her confusion deepened. She lowered her head and pressed it against the mat, wanting to rub the blindfold off a little to see.
Just as she made a move, she felt a sudden warmth on her back.
Cen Qianyi’s body twitched reflexively from the heat.
With her twitch, He Shu’s hand also trembled.
Another drop of wax fell, forming a vibrant ‘rose’ on Cen Qianyi’s pale back.
“How’s it, babe? Isn’t it comfortable, exciting, and fun?”
that’s funny
