The Duke of Harrington is looking for a nanny - Chapter 4.1
Lately, Bella has been allowed to get used to sleeping late. Sleeping through the night and not waking up at dawn has become a habit for the little lady of the manor. At first she had to feed five times at four-hour intervals, but now if she feeds at 10pm and falls asleep, Julian wakes up at 7am the next morning and is still dreaming.
Bella was worried that she was sleeping too much. The Duke’s doctor, who visited her once a week, told her that she was growing up very healthy. He said there was no need to wake her at dawn. Instead, he added, she should breastfeed her baby if she was able to.
Julian’s nap time was also greatly reduced. He didn’t wake up early in the morning. Had he anticipated this situation? After giving Bella a massage in the bathroom, Aiden didn’t come looking for her. Instead, he left behind a book or reference material on breast massage.
[Please try not to leave the second floor during the day].
[Do not say hello to other servants casually.]
[If you have any business, please ring the servant’s bell and ask for Courtney or Daisy].
He also left notes from time to time, like the one she left him in thanks for the massage. They were all warnings not to do something. His handwriting was as stiff and sharp as his appearance, simply telling her not to do something for no reason. I knew, however, that it meant that he thought and cared.
Bella decided to teach herself how to give herself a massage, slipping the butler’s note between the pages of the book he had given her.

The Imperial Academy was located on the outskirts of the capital. It was an academy founded directly by the Imperial Family to awaken the talents and abilities of noble children. Only families whose parents were viscounts or higher and could afford astronomical sums of ‘donations’ were allowed to enter. Nowadays, entry itself has become a way of enhancing a family’s name. Students usually enter at 16, when they make their debut in society, and leave at 18, when they hold their coming-of-age ceremony.
There have, of course, been exceptions.
The Crown Prince, who will graduate this summer, entered the academy a year later. He is one year older than the other royal children. There were six royal children in the graduating class, including the Crown Prince. He insisted on attending the Academy with one of them.
And it was none other than the Duke of Harrington’s eldest son, Young Duke Leonard Harrington, who caused such a stir.
“It looks as if your butler has nothing to do, does he?”
As soon as the announcement was made that there would only be morning classes today, before the final exams, Aaron Carlyle, the one and only Crown Prince of the Empire, approached Leonard’s seat, his gorgeous blonde hair slicked back.
“What nonsense are you talking about now?”
Leonard asked. His blue eyes appeared and disappeared between his curly black hair.
“I heard you replaced all the servants? You don’t know that, do you?”
“I’ve heard that.”
“I heard that the butler did it alone. Hmm… … why did he do that? Was someone spying or something like that?”
“My guess is that it was because it was necessary.”
“Is that all?”
“Did you see Aidan do something useless?”
Aaron pretended to think hard, then shook his head.
“I haven’t seen it.”
“Look at this.”
Leonard handed his bag to the servant waiting outside and was on his way. Aaron, who had thrown a few books at his valet standing next to the Duke’s servant, caught up with Leonard and walked alongside him.
“But isn’t it strange? Why at this time?”
“There’s nothing strange about it.”
“Are you that trustworthy? It’s a bit creepy… …”
“Why are you so sticky today? Have you planted a spy in my house?”
“Me? No way~ I don’t hide it that clumsily. I do it openly.”
“You’re stupid.”
Leonard shook his head. Aaron pulled up the corners of his mouth as he watched him do so.
“Your Highness the Crown Prince, Your Highness the Duke of Harrington. I hope you have a peaceful day.”
A noble lady with long red hair approached. She lifted her dress slightly. It was Irelia, the eldest daughter of the Marquis Grey family who ruled the south. Her face turned red when it met Leonard’s blue eyes, as she was also in the same graduating class.
“I may not notice, but I hope Young-ae has a peaceful day today.”
“My hope is that Marquis Gray’s daughter also has a peaceful day today.”
Leonard looked at Aaron, who was openly embarrassing him, as if he found it pitiful. Aaron shrugged, as if to say that he was not wrong.
“Your Highness. Before your graduation from the academy, I would like to invite you to the town house of the Marquis Gray family… When will you have time?”
“Ah…”
Leonard’s eyebrows were in a frown, as if in trouble.
“I’m sorry. I’m busy with work at the villa. I don’t think I’ll have time for a while.”
Aaron held back his laughter as Leonard lied calmly. After all, he knew that when he graduated from the Academy, he would inherit the mansion.
“Would it be difficult for you to get together and have some tea, just to talk?”
Irelia asked, her appealing eyes shining. But this time Leonard shook his head again.
“I’m sorry. I do not attend any parties other than those of the Imperial Family.”
A smile of regret on Leonard’s face. It was such a sincere expression that the other person had to apologize. Leonard quickly and politely left the room when Irelia nodded as if she couldn’t help it. The Crown Prince followed.
