- Chapter 1 - The Unremarkable Transmigrator
“Xiaoyi, dinner’s ready!”
“Okay, I’ll be right there!”
Even though she said she would be right there, Mo Beiyi didn’t move from her bed.
She stared blankly at the ceiling, trying to process the memories flooding her mind.
Her head still ached a little even when she finally sat down for dinner.
“Xiaoyi, you look pale. Are you feeling unwell? Should I call a doctor to check on you?” The housekeeper, seeing Mo Beiyi’s pale face, asked with concern.
“No… I’m just a little tired.”
Mo Beiyi gave her a polite smile.
“…Then please get some rest early.”
“Okay.”
After dealing with the housekeeper, Mo Beiyi sighed inwardly, her appetite gone despite the table full of food.
After all, who could stay calm after learning they would die a horrible death in the future?
All she did was complain about a book, so why did she transmigrate?
Other people get to be protagonists, but she ended up transmigrating as the villain with the same name, destined for a terrible end.
And this novel was an ABO erotic novel.
The female lead, Gu Xiyi, was an Omega, stunningly beautiful and exceptionally intelligent. Like all Mary Sue protagonists, she was loved by everyone. Alphas, Omegas, and Betas alike all fell at her feet. Imperial princesses, Federation generals, the richest man’s son, pirate captains—they all loved her to death.
Yes, it was a harem novel.
All of the female lead’s Alphas were incredibly powerful, so as the villain, Mo Beiyi had to be impressive as well. As the favorite of the universe and the only dragon in the galaxy, she also loved the female lead desperately. However, the proud dragon couldn’t stand sharing her partner, so she turned evil after the female lead abandoned her…
Then came all sorts of dramatic plots: “You may have imprisoned my body, but my heart will never be yours…” For the female lead, Mo Beiyi even blinded herself, broke her horns, and tore her wings. In the end, because she colluded with the Zerg, Mo Beiyi became a public enemy of all humanity. She was besieged by countless mechs and warships in the final battle, dying without even a single trace left behind.
This news left Mo Beiyi speechless.
Life is full of drama, and it just keeps getting worse.
Mo Beiyi sadly discovered that the female lead was now her older sister… even though they weren’t bl00d-related.
She and Gu Xiyi were picked up by old man Gu from a battlefield. It was said to be in a town leveled by artillery fire, a complete ruin. Only a few survivors, all with missing limbs, remained. Only the two of them, a couple of young girls, had survived unscathed.
Old man Gu was a deputy commander. His son and daughter-in-law had died on the battlefield, so he named the two girls using their surnames.
Although Mo Beiyi and Gu Xiyi were picked up together and were of similar age, their personalities were worlds apart.
Old man Gu was on the front lines for many years and didn’t have much time to take care of them. In the same loving-deprived environment, Mo Beiyi developed an awful personality. She was arrogant, conceited, selfish, and hot-tempered—all the typical flaws of an Alpha. In contrast, Gu Xiyi was gentle, intellectual, and independent, and she was always at the top of her class. They were like heaven and earth.
One would think that an Alpha and an Omega would get along, but their relationship was strained due to their different personalities and beliefs.
“Great! It’s fantastic that our relationship is bad!”
Gu Xiyi’s grades were so good that she would definitely be able to get into Caelorot University in the capital. As for her, she could just apply to a university on another planet, never see the female lead again, and live a happy, carefree life.
Anything was better than becoming a disabled dragon and dying without a trace.
With that thought, Mo Beiyi became curious about herself.
Even in this world, “dragons” were mythical creatures, the embodiment of power and beauty.
She quickly finished her meal and hurried back to her room.
Standing in front of the mirror, she finally got a clear look at this sixteen-year-old Mo Beiyi.
Her hair was like the deep sea, her eyes like stars. Her face had the roundness of a young girl and the sharp features of an Alpha. She looked a bit like her former self but was younger and more defined, like an unpolished jewel that made people adore her.
She looked like an Omega.
It truly showed that she was the “darling of the universe.”
Mo Beiyi’s mind stirred, and a few seconds later, the mirror only reflected a beast.
Sharp antlers, vertical golden pupils, sparkling scales, and delicate wings. The black dragon was only a bit larger than her human form. It must have just left its infancy, as the whole dragon was plump and cute, lacking some of its majesty.
She tried moving her wings. They looked frail but were surprisingly strong. Mo Beiyi flew without the clumsiness of a beginner, as if the movements were ingrained in her instincts. She flew two laps around the room but felt it was too small to move around, so she looked out the window.
It was already dark. As the Imperial star, Caelorot had not only a well-maintained environment but also an excellent geographical location. All she had to do was look up to see the brilliant star-filled sky. Mo Beiyi had never seen a sight like this before. She walked to the window in a daze, mesmerized by the deep starry sky. It was as if a voice was calling out to her, telling her to fly into the galaxy.
“Knock, knock.” Just as Mo Beiyi put her hand on the window, there was a sudden knock at the door.
“Who is it?” Mo Beiyi was startled. Her voice was much deeper in her dragon form, and she wondered if the person outside would get suspicious.
She tried to turn back but couldn’t, a result of being nervous.
“Beiyi.” A cool yet gentle female voice sounded, and the door opened a second later.
“What’s wrong? You can’t change back again?” The person who came in wasn’t surprised by what she saw. Instead, she walked towards Mo Beiyi with worry in her voice.
It was Gu Xiyi.
As the female lead, the author naturally used the most praiseful words to describe her. Gu Xiyi’s parents must have been from an older, Earth-like planet. She inherited her parents’ features with black hair and brown eyes, but also had the soft, translucent quality of a polished gem. It was no wonder she was later called the “Pearl of Caelorot,” symbolizing beauty, kindness, integrity, and purity.
You’re so beautiful that the moonlight pales in comparison.
A voice suddenly rang out in Mo Beiyi’s mind.
What?
She suddenly realized she had been staring at the female lead, and her face became hot. Fortunately, Gu Xiyi didn’t notice and thought Mo Beiyi was just ignoring her.
The room lights got brighter, making Gu Xiyi appear even more radiant. Thinking Mo Beiyi was sulking, she reached out and took her paw.
“Don’t be angry. It won’t be good if someone else finds out.” Even though their relationship wasn’t great, Gu Xiyi was kind by nature. She knew Mo Beiyi’s identity was special, and it would be a huge problem if others found out.
The Omega’s hand was very soft. Mo Beiyi carefully retracted her sharp claws, letting Gu Xiyi pull her onto the bed.
In her memories, Mo Beiyi would “suddenly” be unable to change back sometimes, and it was always Gu Xiyi who helped her. The way she helped was by…
…Rubbing her tail.
