The Evil Dragon Only Wants to Survive (Lily ABO) - Chapter 10
The feeling was back, that familiar rush.
Anger mixed with a powerful surge of adrenaline. It was a primal instinct. Mo Beiyi didn’t even think. Her body moved on its own. The moment the shot rang out, she stood behind Gu Xiyi and saw Gu Xiyi turn to look at her.
“Mo Beiyi!”
Along with the sound of the bullet hitting flesh, Gu Xiyi’s voice trembled. She grabbed Mo Beiyi’s shoulders, leaned back, and both of them fell into the ship’s cabin.
The hatch closed automatically, and the glass on the door reflected a smear of bl00d.
That hurts so bad, Mo Beiyi thought, gritting her teeth. Her eyes were teary as she looked helplessly at Gu Xiyi, who was pinned beneath her.
Good thing her hide wasn’t an ordinary hide. The bullet had only grazed her skin; it hadn’t embedded itself.
“Can you… can you get up?” Gu Xiyi’s face was flushed. Mo Beiyi was an Alpha, after all. Even with a suppressor patch on, Gu Xiyi could still smell that familiar scent from her at such close range. It was a faint, pleasant fragrance mixed with the aroma of trees. It seemed to be the scent of a certain kind of wood. Also, she wasn’t sure if it was her imagination, but something was pressing against her thigh, and it wasn’t Mo Beiyi’s leg…
The memory from two months ago suddenly became clear. She remembered Mo Beiyi’s school pants being pushed up, her face flushed red, but with determined steps, she had backed out of the utility closet. This thought made Gu Xiyi feel a little guilty. Mo Beiyi had been injured to save her, but here she was thinking about these random things.
Seeing Gu Xiyi’s slightly red face, Mo Beiyi thought she was too heavy. She felt a little wronged and tiptoed up, sitting to the side, looking at Gu Xiyi with pleading eyes.
Mo Beiyi’s hair tie had fallen off at some point. Her long blue hair was disheveled and fell behind her head. Coupled with her pitiful expression, Gu Xiyi inexplicably thought she looked like a cute little blue puppy.
If Mo Beiyi found out I thought she was a puppy, she’d probably get mad, right?
Gu Xiyi was amused by her own thoughts, but she quickly snapped out of it when she smelled the faint scent of bl00d. She checked Mo Beiyi’s back.
Thankfully, it was just a scrape. It was a long one, so it bled a lot.
Gu Xiyi sighed in relief. But there was no medicine available. She soothingly patted Mo Beiyi’s head and said she would apply medicine once they got to a safe place.
The manned machine had a short-range jump function, but it required the correct anchor point coordinates. Otherwise, they could either be sent to a random place or crash and die. However, this machine had the coordinates of several nearby planets stored in it, and it was easy to use. Gu Ning had taught them how to use it on their first day. Gu Xiyi had an excellent memory. She quickly set the parameters and prepared to leave.
The small manned machine slowly rose into the air, getting ready to make the jump. The countdown on the screen was down to a few seconds, and Gu Xiyi finally relaxed.
She couldn’t believe they had run into such bad luck just a week into their stay. She had just made a like-minded friend… She finally thought of Jiang Yibai, of the ruined restaurant, but her gut told her that Jiang Yibai was not dead.
She hoped that was true.
The number on the screen turned to 2, and in the next second, it would turn to 1.
But at that moment, a missile landed next to the training room. The huge shockwave flipped over many of the manned machines.
The cabin shook violently. Gu Xiyi watched as the number changed from 1 to 0.
The manned machine instantly disappeared.
At the same time, on the warship in deep space, Gu Ning’s eyelid twitched. He frowned, ignoring the uneasy feeling, and gave the next command.
This time, the Federation army was a formidable force. No matter what, Lone Star could not be lost, at least not before the important data was transferred.
When people are unlucky, they are really unlucky.
Mo Beiyi flapped her wings with all her might, holding Gu Xiyi tightly in her arms. The sound of gunfire continued behind them, but Mo Beiyi was flying too high, and the people below could only sigh in frustration.
They had jumped, but the location didn’t seem right.
As soon as they exited the cabin, they were met with a dozen guns pointed at them, which nearly caused Mo Beiyi’s heart to stop.
Looking at the uniforms of the people, they seemed to have jumped to a planet with an enemy base.
They were incredibly unlucky to be sent to a military base. Thankfully, this planet didn’t seem to be very important. There weren’t many soldiers at the base, and there wasn’t even a flying vehicle. Otherwise, with Mo Beiyi’s incredible flying skills, she would have died there today.
She held Gu Xiyi and flew unsteadily for what seemed like an eternity until she saw nothing but a large forest below. She saw a few wisps of smoke in the distance. She made sure no one was chasing them before slowly landing and resting by a small stream.
It was already dark, and the moon in the sky wasn’t very bright. The stream was surrounded by dense, deep forest. Mo Beiyi put Gu Xiyi down, made sure she wasn’t hurt, and then breathed a sigh of relief. At the same time, she marveled at the dragon’s ability to heal. She had been hit by several shots, but after flying for so long, she was almost completely healed.
But Gu Xiyi didn’t know this. She only knew that the gunfire had intensified the moment Mo Beiyi hugged her.
“Beiyi, are you okay? Let me see your wound.” She looked incredibly worried.
“Uh… I’m fine,” Mo Beiyi said, obediently getting down and showing her back, which was almost completely healed.
There was only a little dried bl00d on her black and gold back armor, but the wound was indeed gone.
After confirming that Mo Beiyi was okay, the worry in Gu Xiyi’s heart finally subsided, but it was immediately replaced with a sense of guilt. It must have been her mistake that brought them to this strange place.
“I’m sorry. It’s all my fault that we were sent to a place like this.”
“It’s not your fault,” Mo Beiyi said, and this time she meant it. In her opinion, the blame lay with the broken plot. The person who should have been stranded on this alien planet with Gu Xiyi was Jiang Yibai, not her.
Did Jiang Yibai just die like that? My favorite couple broke up before they even started.
After a moment of sadness, Mo Beiyi looked at the unusually dejected Gu Xiyi and wondered what she could say to comfort her.
After all, she was just a sixteen-year-old girl who had been through so much danger in a single day, and now she was in a strange place. She must be so scared.
But this place wasn’t entirely unfamiliar, was it?
If she remembered correctly, this was Gu Xiyi’s home planet, Azure Star.
It was also the place where “Mo Beiyi” was born.
Mo Beiyi was also very curious about the origin of this body. There were no dragons in this world, and “Mo Beiyi’s” memory started from the moment she opened her eyes.
But she couldn’t have been a creature created out of thin air, right? Since the erotic novel’s setting was that she was the only dragon in the galaxy, that meant her parents were no longer alive?
This damn erotic novel. Why couldn’t it have been more clear?
