Chapter 16: Ruan Siyi Shyly Buried Herself Under the Covers
Ever since that strange dream in the car, Ruan Siyi had been feeling dazed.
During the day, she could still focus on work while filming, but the moment she had downtime, her mind would flood with fragmented images from the dream.
Was it part of the same series as the last dream?
But judging by the timeline, this one must have happened before the previous one.
She never expected Sister Fu to have such a profound influence on her—even her dreams were now filled with glimpses of her.
Ruan Siyi let out a soft sigh.
Lying idly on the hotel bed, she absentmindedly scrolled through her phone, but visions of Fu Ru’an from her dream kept flashing before her eyes.
Her fingers paused. After a moment’s hesitation, she couldn’t resist sending Fu Ru’an a WeChat message.
[Adventurer Under the Covers]: Sister Fu, are you busy?
The moment she sent it, her eyes fixed intently on the screen, an inexplicable anticipation fluttering in her chest. Just seeing the other woman’s name pop up would bring her an odd sense of comfort.
Ding—
A reply from Fu Ru’an appeared within seconds.
It was a voice message.
Without thinking, Ruan Siyi tapped to play it, and Fu Ru’an’s slightly lazy voice instantly spilled from the speaker.
[Sister Fu]: I’m taking a shower.
Fu Ru’an’s voice, languid and unhurried, seemed to brush against her ears, the faint sound of running water in the background hazy, as if muffled by a thin veil.
Though the volume wasn’t high, it felt as if the words had been whispered directly into her ear, lightly teasing her nerves.
Ruan Siyi froze, her slender fingers hovering over the screen, her heartbeat already beginning to race uncontrollably.
T-taking a shower?!
Against her will, her mind conjured up images she had no business imagining.
Fu Ru’an’s damp hair draped over her collarbone, water droplets trailing down her neck, disappearing beneath the edge of a towel, faintly outlining the curves beneath—
“No! Ruan Siyi, snap out of it!”
She shook her head violently, forcing those wandering thoughts down.
But just then, her fingers trembled, accidentally tapping the video call button in the chat.
The air around her seemed to freeze.
The call began connecting, the words “Calling…” glaringly obvious on the screen.
Oh no.
Ruan Siyi’s face burned crimson. As she silently prayed for Fu Ru’an to not pick up, she scrambled to end the call.
But in the next second, the screen flickered—
Fu Ru’an had answered instantly.
The moment the video connected, a wave of humid steam seemed to rush at her.
On the screen, Fu Ru’an stood in the bathroom, a large towel draped loosely over her body. Water droplets slid down her elegant swan-like neck, her hair still damp and clinging to her collarbone.
One hand held the phone, while the other casually tucked a strand of hair behind her ear, her movements effortlessly graceful yet undeniably sensual.
“Why the sudden video call?”
Fu Ru’an’s voice was low and slightly hoarse, as if still carrying the warmth of the shower. Her gaze, lazy yet piercing, locked onto Ruan Siyi through the screen, laced with a hint of something unspoken.
Ruan Siyi’s mind went blank, as if struck by a wave of heat, all rational thought dissolving into the air, impossible to gather.
Her eyes unconsciously drifted to Fu Ru’an’s exposed collarbone, following a stray droplet as it slid down, stopping at the loosely tied edge of the towel. Her breath hitched.
“S-Sister Fu, I—I didn’t mean to!”
She flustered, her voice trembling with nervousness.
“I—I just clicked it by accident!”
Fu Ru’an’s lips curled into a faint, knowing smirk.
“By accident?”
Her tone was teasingly slow.
“Mmm… what a coincidence.”
Ruan Siyi’s breathing grew even more erratic.
She wanted to explain, to hang up, but her eyes refused to obey, still glued to the barely concealed edge of Fu Ru’an’s towel, those forbidden images flooding her mind again.
Fu Ru’an seemed to notice her distress, arching a brow.
Deliberately, she shook off a few droplets of water, adjusting the towel with deliberate slowness.
“What’s wrong? Can’t handle this?”
Her voice was a low, playful taunt.
“You’ve seen much more than this before.”
The words struck Ruan Siyi like lightning, leaving her utterly stunned.
“N-no! I—I didn’t mean it like that!”
But Fu Ru’an suddenly leaned forward slightly, the towel loosely cinched at her waist, accentuating the slender curve of her body.
The towel still hung precariously over her chest, as if it might slip at any moment.
“Keep looking. No need to explain, Ruan Ruan.”
The way she drawled her name, light and lilting, shattered the last remnants of Ruan Siyi’s composure.
She immediately buried her face under the covers, like an ostrich hiding from the world.
From Fu Ru’an’s perspective, Ruan Siyi’s phone must have been propped on a nearby chair. Now, with her hiding like this, the video only showed a lump of blankets, the narrow curve of her waist beneath, and—
Ruan Siyi’s perky backside.
So tempting to pinch. I bet it’d be soft and bouncy.
“Ruan Ruan.”
Fu Ru’an called her name softly, a mischievous glint in her eyes as she stared at the screen, where the blanket didn’t quite cover the faint outline of her curves.
She had intended to tease her further, but Ruan Siyi’s adorable reaction—hiding like a flustered little bird—made Fu Ru’an’s heart skip.
Her gaze trailed down the blanket, over Ruan Siyi’s slender waist, and lower.
Then she noticed something.
On the screen, Ruan Siyi’s legs seemed slightly stiff, as if she were desperately holding back—
She squeezed her thighs together.
Fu Ru’an’s eyes narrowed, her smirk deepening.
So, compared to outright seduction… Ruan Ruan prefers this kind of—
Innocent yet irresistible tease.
“Ruan Ruan, why so quiet?”
She asked lightly, deliberately slowing her words, her tone laced with playful provocation, as if waiting for her reaction.
Under the covers, Ruan Siyi stiffened for a second, her body trembling faintly, as if the sound of her voice only made it harder to control herself.
Her heart pounded wildly, her cheeks burning so hot they could’ve dripped with warmth, all the heat in her body rushing somewhere it absolutely shouldn’t.
Biting her lip, she tried to steady her breathing, only to realize how much more flustered it made her seem.
But Fu Ru’an wasn’t about to let her off the hook.
“Ruan Ruan, your body seems much more honest than your words.”
“I—I’m not!”
Ruan Siyi’s muffled protest came from under the blankets, weak and panicked.
“Oh?”
Fu Ru’an chuckled softly.
“Did I misread you, then?”
She raised a brow, her gaze lingering on the screen, her eyes glinting with something unreadable.
“But… do you really not want my help?”
Her voice slowed deliberately, the last syllable curling like a feather brushing against her ear.
“Even through the screen… I can teach you.”
Ruan Siyi’s mind exploded like fireworks, chaotic thoughts scattering in every direction, burning sparks igniting her already scattered thoughts.
Her fingers clutched the edge of the blanket, her heart threatening to burst out of her chest.
Under the covers, her face burned, her mind helplessly conjuring images of Fu Ru’an leaning close, her damp breath against her neck, her voice cutting through the screen to tease her frayed nerves.
T-this is too embarrassing.
She barely managed to force out the words:
“N-no… I’m fine…”
But the moment she spoke, the images in her head only grew clearer.
Fu Ru’an’s gaze, that knowing smirk, as if she could see right through every ounce of her struggle.
The faint sound of running water from the other end, so suggestive it made her skin prickle with heat, her breathing uneven.
“Really don’t need it?”
Fu Ru’an turned on the tap, the sound of water hitting porcelain crisp in Ruan Siyi’s ears.
She rinsed her fingers slowly, her voice laced with amusement.
“But you’ve already got me worked up.”
“Be a good girl, Ruan Ruan.”
“Let me hear you, baby.”
