The Fate of the Protagonist Who Chose the Harem Ending - Episode 21
Midterm Exam
“Yuusuke, have you been studying?”
“Heh, if it isn’t Higashitani Haru. I haven’t studied at all.”
“You’re such an idiot.”
If Oumi-san is a lovable idiot, this guy is just plain dumb.
Though, I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s one of those who pretends not to study and then scores high. Yuusuke’s probably the same type.
“How about you, Shizuku?”
“Uhh……… doing okay?”
“So you’re just letting things play out?”
“Guess so.”
While talking, I opened my notebook and began reviewing.
Even if it’s only a little time, I’m studying until the end.
And just as I was focused, the bell rang. It signaled that we should pack away everything except for our writing tools.
—
I applied what I had studied during the test.
During breaks, I quickly reviewed the material for the next test.
This continued for several days
And finally, it was the day the tests were returned.
—
“Haru, how did it go?”
“Here!”
I showed Shizuku my test.
I scored in the 70s on average, a good score. However, I struggled with math.
“Nice! Now I’ll show you mine!”
Shizuku, determined not to lose, showed me her test score.
Her average was also in the 70s, the same as mine.
Though it seemed like her English score was lower, she managed to avoid failing.
“Good job, Shizuku.”
“Well, we studied together, after all.”
We exchanged test papers, discussing what we had gotten wrong and what the right answers were.
As we compared answers and reviewed the mistakes, we chatted and laughed.
“Imakoga! Thanks to you, I avoided failing!”
Oumi-san was heading toward Imakoga-san, shouting.
In this school, you fail if you score below 40. So it seems like he got at least 40.
Imakoga-san couldn’t ignore Oumi-san and was busy handling his enthusiasm.
I had a feeling that Oumi-san wouldn’t care much about bad reputations.
The fact that he’s approaching her again after being pushed away once… It seems like he’s totally smitten.
“How about you two?”
Aiba walked into the 2-B classroom.
“Oh, Aiba. Math was bad, but I got an average of 70.”
“My English wasn’t great, but my average is also 70. What about you, Yuri-chan?”
“This is mine.”
Yuriko showed her test results.
Her average was 80, and even her lowest score was in the 60s.
“Whoa, that’s high…”
“As expected from Yuri-chan.”
“Heh, you should worship me.”
Aiba gave a smug grin. And honestly, with those scores, she had every right to do so.
“Help me, Higashitani.”
Yuusuke came over, looking completely deflated.
This felt like déjà vu.
He showed me his test scores.
His average score was in the 20s.
Though not all subjects were failing, some of his scores were disastrously low.
Wait…………. did he seriously not study at all…?
“Adachi-kun, this is just… not acceptable.”
“They’re probably going to ban you from playing games after this.”
“That’s why I’m in trouble…”
“Serves you right.”
“UWAHHHHHHHhhhhhhhhhh!”
Yusuke buried his face in his desk, defeated.
Man, you’re such an idiot.
