- Chapter 10 - Skin Like Cream
Ning Shu gripped Li Xiao’s hand tightly, a cold light flashing in her eyes as she stared daggers at Li Su.
Li Su laughed while coughing up bl00d, his face twisted with malice. “Li Xiao, how is it? Are you satisfied with the little arrangement I prepared for you? At your age, instead of marrying a man and tending to a family, you insist on fighting me for the sect leader’s position. In skill, strategy, and connections, how could you ever match me? What right do you even have?”
Li Xiao, tortured by the fever burning inside her, could barely speak. She burrowed closer into Ning Shu’s arms the only source of relief.
Ning Shu held her tighter, offering a small comfort. But it was like chasing a mirage; soon, Li Xiao would want more than just the brush of her presence.
Was there truly no other way to ease her pain?
Ning Shu’s heart grew colder. She glanced at Li Su and unleashed a killing strike. Such scum didn’t deserve even a single extra minute of life.
Li Xiao grabbed Ning Shu’s hand, shaking her head with all her strength. “Don’t kill him. I want to do this myself.”
The inner energy in Ning Shu’s palm dissipated immediately. If Li Xiao wanted to take revenge, she would let her.
Seeing Ning Shu hold back, Li Su became even more arrogant, his laughter dark and cruel. “Cousin, if you really can’t handle it, I have a few brothers who can help you. They’ve been with countless women, experienced, skilled, they’ll satisfy you.”
Ning Shu raised her hand, and a gust of force swept over him, silencing him completely.
Li Xiao was at her limit. She tugged on Ning Shu’s collar, her voice burning with urgency: “Take me away from here. I don’t want anyone to see…”
Even unsaid, Ning Shu understood. Li Xiao, a favored daughter of heaven, had always been cold and aloof. Now, reduced to this state, she naturally didn’t want anyone to witness her shame.
Ning Shu continued channeling inner energy into her, easing her pain as much as possible. As she rose, she flicked pebbles from the ground with her sleeve. The stones seemed alive, flying precisely into the throats of Li Su’s men. They collapsed instantly, eyes wide in shock.
They would never have expected to die from mere stones.
Ning Shu carried the feverish Li Xiao, disappearing into the night within moments.
She had intended to return to the inn, but it was too far, and Li Xiao’s body could barely hold out.
Li Xiao’s cheeks were flushed, her eyes bloodshot, her entire body like she had been pulled from water, drenched in sweat that soaked Ning Shu as well.
Finding a nearby cave, Ning Shu set her down against a stone pillar, focusing her energy to ease Li Xiao’s suffering.
Li Xiao’s breaths grew heavier, finally ragged. She spoke in fragments: “You… leave! Don’t stay… here… watch me…”
Ning Shu gave a wry smile and withdrew her energy. Even now, Li Xiao remained proud and defiant—couldn’t she just lower her head for once?
Even with Ning Shu’s help, it was barely enough. Without it, Li Xiao’s body was overwhelmed with pain, as if thousands of ants crawled inside her. Her lower abdomen burned with a desperate, unnameable heat, searching for release.
Her reason was slowly being consumed. She clenched her fists so tightly her nails cut into her skin. Sweat dripped in large beads, eyelashes damp with tears as though she had cried.
Seeing her struggling, Ning Shu turned her gently. Li Xiao’s restrained agony made her catch her breath.
Her lower lip had two bleeding holes from biting herself, bl00d trickling down, tears falling onto Ning Shu’s hand. Ning Shu flinched slightly, then carefully wiped the sweat from Li Xiao’s brow.
Startled by the touch, Li Xiao’s gaze became dizzy and complicated.
“Didn’t I tell you to leave? Why are you still here?”
Her body trembled, bare skin tinged with a delicate flush, soft and inviting like a ripe peach.
Ning Shu swallowed nervously, retracting her hand. She might be tempted, but she wouldn’t take advantage of her. Besides, based on countless novels and dramas, only the opposite s3x could… well, that.
Hesitating, Ning Shu began, “Maybe we.”
“Shut up! If you dare say that, I’ll kill you!”
She swallowed her words immediately. “Alright, alright, I won’t say anything. Don’t get agitated.”
The drug in her system was potent. Ning Shu feared that if Li Xiao’s emotions spiked, she would completely lose control.
Li Xiao’s chest heaved violently, her gaze increasingly unfocused. Her resolve held strong, yet her lower lip started bleeding again, even more than before.
Ning Shu quickly pressed a handkerchief to her lip, whispering, “Relax… don’t hurt yourself. Here, let me see.”
Li Xiao obediently released her lip. Ning Shu gasped it was riddled with four holes. Just looking at it hurt.
Li Xiao cleaned her lip with the cloth and wiped the sweat from her face. Then she rolled it up and placed it in Ning Shu’s mouth.
“If you can’t resist, bite this instead, don’t hurt yourself.”
A flicker of disdain crossed Li Xiao’s eyes. Ning Shu hurried to explain: “Resources are limited, so just make do. It’s your bl00d and sweat it’s fine.”
Whether Li Xiao understood or not, she twitched her cheek and spat the cloth out, biting Ning Shu’s lower lip before she could react.
Ning Shu cried out in pain, tears streaming. She realized she should have let her bite sooner.
Seeing the sparkle in her eyes, Li Xiao’s pride flared. She mimicked Ning Shu’s previous method, prying her lips apart.
Ning Shu froze.
This wasn’t what she expected! She was supposed to just use her lip for pain relief!
Their eyes met. Li Xiao quickly surrendered first, covering Ning Shu’s eyes with her hand.
With her sight blocked, all other senses amplified. Ning Shu could hear the press of lips, the ragged breathing, and the pounding heartbeat.
Li Xiao’s movements were clumsy, holding the same position the entire time. Ning Shu could no longer bear it and began responding actively.
They didn’t know who gave in first. When reality returned, Ning Shu found herself pinned beneath Li Xiao.
The cave floor was damp; Ning Shu’s bare back against it was uncomfortable—but that didn’t matter.
Seeing Li Xiao so close, Ning Shu asked with concern, “Are you really okay?”
Li Xiao bit her neck fiercely. “Even… if I have to… I’ll take the top!”
She then bent down, focused, and Ning Shu smiled like a sly fox.
No matter top or bottom it didn’t matter. As long as it was Li Xiao, everything else was irrelevant.
