Chapter 30: How Did It End Up as Facial Cleanser?!
Lu Zhili felt a warmth in her chest. She could clearly feel Yu Yao’s warm breath, her prominent nose bridge, and damp lips.
It was supposed to be a dry area, but the moment Yu Yao made contact, Lu Zhili’s mind went completely blank—nothing else existed but her.
Her lashes fluttered on Lu Zhili’s skin, like feathers brushing against her heart, tickling her with an electric shiver.
Lu Zhili couldn’t help but let out a soft whimper. “Mmm… It tickles…”
She looked down at Yu Yao, who remained buried in her chest without moving, and gently asked, “A-Yao… do you… like it?”
Yu Yao suddenly came to her senses, propping herself up on Lu Zhili’s shoulders and sitting upright. Her entire face flushed crimson. Her already gorgeous features now looked even more dazzling—like a tender rose in full bloom.
“What are you doing?!” Yu Yao was clearly flustered and a little frantic.
When she looked down at the spot her entire face had just been pressed against, she saw it was bright red—like a cooked crab. And if she wasn’t mistaken, that delicate pink mark was… a kiss she’d just accidentally left.
“Why did you suddenly do that?!” Yu Yao was at a total loss. She had not anticipated any of this. Not even in her wildest imagination could she explain Lu Zhili’s train of thought or reasoning.
Why?! How did it turn into facial cleanser?!
But Lu Zhili looked genuinely confused, her tone soft and pitiful. “I saw you… swallow your saliva at me. Don’t you want to eat?”
She thought A-Yao was like a baby. Even though she didn’t have any br3ast milk, she could still give A-Yao something to eat.
Yu Yao’s eyes widened. She was speechless. Did she swallow her saliva? Yes. Was Lu Zhili wrong?
…
No.
While Yu Yao’s thoughts were speeding down a highway, Lu Zhili was still riding a baby walker. She never expected Lu Zhili to interpret her reaction as a baby’s hunger.
She couldn’t tell Lu Zhili that she was… lustful, not hungry.
Yu Yao suddenly cupped Lu Zhili’s chin, forcing her to sit up straight. Her other hand quickly covered Lu Zhili’s eyes and pushed her back against the wall with a dull thud.
Feeling the flutter of Lu Zhili’s lashes under her palm, Yu Yao felt like a fire had been lit inside her.
When she spoke, her voice was hoarse, “Zhili, you can’t say things like that.”
Lu Zhili, whose mouth wasn’t covered, asked in confusion, “Why not? A-Yao doesn’t want to let me eat…?”
By the end, her tone was tinged with grievance.
She was willing to let A-Yao eat, so why wouldn’t A-Yao do the same for her?
Lu Zhili extended her index finger and lightly poked at it. Just as she was about to speak, she heard Yu Yao sharply suck in a breath. But when she looked up, Yu Yao was biting her lip hard, not making another sound.
Puzzled, Lu Zhili turned her gaze back down and leaned her face close—less than ten centimeters away. Her amber eyes looked up at Yu Yao’s slender jaw as she softly asked:
“A-Yao, can I eat?”
Those eyes were full of trust, completely void of lust. Yu Yao closed her eyes—she really couldn’t refuse Lu Zhili’s requests, especially when she looked at her like that.
But this time was different.
Yu Yao cupped Lu Zhili’s chin again, made her sit up straight, then quickly covered her eyes and pushed her back against the wall with another thud.
Her hand brushed Lu Zhili’s lashes again, and that fire in Yu Yao’s heart blazed even stronger.
When she spoke again, her voice was even huskier. “Zhili, don’t say those things.”
Lu Zhili asked again, a little upset, “Why not? You won’t let me eat…?”
Even her voice trembled slightly.
She was so willing to give, why wouldn’t A-Yao return the favor?
Yu Yao was about to explode from embarrassment. Her hand stayed firmly over Lu Zhili’s eyes, but her body slumped against her. She rested her forehead on Lu Zhili’s shoulder, unable to say a single word.
Lu Zhili seemed to sense Yu Yao’s sadness. She gently hugged her back. That little bit of grievance and confusion vanished completely, leaving only concern and tenderness.
“A-Yao, it’s okay. I won’t eat anymore. Never again. Don’t be sad.” As she spoke, she awkwardly reached out and began gently patting Yu Yao’s back.
“Heh.” Yu Yao let out a low chuckle, then slowly removed her hand from Lu Zhili’s eyes.
She slid her hand from Lu Zhili’s shoulder down to her fingers and gently laced them together. With the other hand, she did the same, but just as Lu Zhili opened her fingers to accept it, Yu Yao suddenly grabbed her wrist.
Then, Lu Zhili watched with wide eyes as her slightly open palm was placed squarely on Yu Yao’s chest.
The soft, supple feel made Lu Zhili instinctively give a little squeeze—followed by a gasp from Yu Yao.
“Mmm… softer…”
Lu Zhili froze immediately, standing there half-naked, not daring to move, while Yu Yao panted heavily in her arms.
After a while, Yu Yao straightened up, her face still crimson. She turned to Lu Zhili and softly said:
“You can’t eat. But… if you want, you can nuzzle like I did earlier. Do you want to?”
Lu Zhili seemed spellbound—like she was enchanted. She didn’t nod or shake her head, just stood there, wide-eyed and dazed.
Yu Yao chuckled lightly and cleared her throat. “Well, if you don’t want to, that’s fine. I’ll help you get dressed.”
She let go of Lu Zhili’s hands and began reaching for her clothes.
But Lu Zhili suddenly snapped back to reality. She instinctively grabbed Yu Yao’s hands, then did a flying piglet pounce—burying her face into Yu Yao’s chest.
Feeling her head gently nuzzling into her chest, Yu Yao closed her eyes and tilted her head back, letting out a deeply content sigh.
Yu Yao cupped Lu Zhili’s chin again, made her sit up straight, then quickly covered her eyes and pushed her back against the wall with a thud.
Her hand brushed Lu Zhili’s lashes again, and the fire in her heart burned even hotter.
She spoke with a hoarse voice, “Zhili, don’t say those things.”
Lu Zhili, not having her mouth covered, asked again with confusion, “Why not? A-Yao doesn’t want to give me a taste…?”
She slowly looked more and more aggrieved.
Yu Yao slid her hand down Lu Zhili’s shoulder, gently intertwining their fingers. With the other hand, she grabbed Lu Zhili’s wrist as the girl opened her fingers—and placed her hand squarely on her chest.
In just a few swift movements, Yu Yao helped Lu Zhili put on the chest patches and redressed her in the gown.
The two of them had spent almost twenty minutes in the fitting room just trying to get this dress on properly.
Yu Yao smoothed out the wrinkles on her own top and checked the time. “Alright, we should head to the studio now.”
“Okay.” Lu Zhili nodded obediently, following behind Yu Yao like a docile little wife.
By the time they returned to the studio, they weren’t too late. Louis caught sight of Lu Zhili’s perfect face, and any frustration he had instantly vanished.
“Oh my god, this face is literally a flex from the gods!” He circled her excitedly, examining every angle—until he paused and squinted. “Hmm? What’s with the smudged makeup on the tip of your nose? Where’s the makeup artist? Come touch this up!”
The makeup artist rushed over immediately.
Yu Yao, feeling awkward, crossed her arms in front of her chest, subtly trying to hide any leftover makeup smudges. She was pretty sure Lu Zhili’s nose had done plenty of enthusiastic nuzzling there earlier.
Fortunately, the rest of the shoot went smoothly. Yu Yao handed each accessory to Lu Zhili, then carefully removed each one afterward. Her mood was surprisingly good.
“A-Yao, did you design all these?” Lu Zhili had changed back into her own clothes, her makeup now completely removed—back to the familiar face Yu Yao knew well.
Yu Yao replied while tidying up, “I usually decide the seasonal themes, but our other two designers handle the actual designing.”
“When will the new pieces go on sale?”
Yu Yao smiled at her. “Why? Want to help boost my business?”
Lu Zhili nodded earnestly. “Mhm. I just sent some of Louis’s photos to my mom, and she said your pieces are really beautiful.”
Yu Yao blinked in surprise. She hadn’t expected that kind of praise from Fu Shuang—but then she figured Fu Shuang was probably just humoring her daughter.
But then Lu Zhili added, “She also asked me to buy a full set to bring home to her.”
Yu Yao straightened up, stunned. “You—you mean Fu Aunty liked them and asked you to bring a set home?”
Lu Zhili nodded. “Can I buy a set?”
“Of course!” Yu Yao knew exactly who Fu Shuang was—the founder of LURI. If her studio’s pieces could catch her eye, she’d never have to worry about gaining access to the fashion industry again.
“I—I’ll send a set home with you right away. No need to wait for the launch.” The official release was next month, but this opportunity might not come again. Yu Yao wasn’t going to waste it.
Even if Fu Shuang had only been humoring her daughter, Yu Yao wasn’t about to pass up a chance to show her work to the LURI founder herself.
“Really?! That’s amazing!” Lu Zhili was thrilled by Yu Yao’s special treatment. It made her feel just how special she was in Yu Yao’s heart.
She thought, Maybe… her dream of marrying A-Yao would come true soon.
