The Garbage Collector Who Stumbled Upon Mythical Weapons! - Chapter 36
Three days later. ‘Great Eagle’ arrived at the military medical facility on the southern edge of Port Gran.
Although it was called a medical facility, it was nothing more than simple tents set up on a vast plain. Inside, dozens of injured people were being treated.
There were about a dozen such tents lined up, and in one of them, Garm and his group were delivering medical supplies.
“That’s all the supplies. Please sign here.”
“Ah, understood.”
Van handed the form to the medical supervisor and received a signature.
“You really saved us. We were about to run out of medicine and supplies. We’re always grateful to you adventurers.”
The medical supervisor, Kaus, dressed in a white monk’s robe, expressed his gratitude to Van and the others. All the medical personnel here had been sent by the “Monk Association.”
“You’re a girl, yet you choose to be an adventurer in such dangerous situations. Isn’t it tough?”
Kaus asked Sophia, but she shyly shook her head and smiled. “The ones providing medical care have it much harder.”
—She’s acting modest? That’s not like her. Garm thought.
But he didn’t say it out loud. He knew it would only lead to a pointless argument.
“Sophia, you’ll be helping with the medical treatments here. As for the guard duty, the security officers will explain it to you, so wait here for a bit. Shall we go, Sophia?”
“Yes.”
With that, Kaus and Sophia headed to another tent. Garm and the others sat on wooden chairs inside the tent, waiting for the security officers to arrive.
“Two weeks… That’s pretty long.”
Garm looked around the tent, watching the busy nurses and doctors move around. Even though they were monks, not all of them could use healing magic.
And even those who could use magic had limits on how many spells they could cast in a day.
With this many patients, it was like trying to put out a fire with a single drop of water. While he was thinking about this, more injured people were brought in. A man on a stretcher, barely conscious.
“Even if they’re fighting well, this is the result… Two weeks here… Anything could happen.”
Van frowned as he looked at the man on the stretcher. He was covered in bl00d, and his right hand and left leg were missing.
With injuries this severe, even healing magic wouldn’t be enough to save him.
“Sorry to keep you waiting.”
A knight in well-worn silver armor entered the tent. Several other knights followed behind him.
“I am Ike, the general assigned as head of security here. Nice to meet you!”
He had golden hair and a bright smile. He was tall and had a sturdy build, a true knight of the Allied Nations.
Ike extended his hand, and Van shook it.
“We’ll be working together for the next two weeks.”
“Yes, our forces are protecting this place, but we need your support.”
“I heard that the front-line base against the Demon Lord’s army is nearby. Won’t that cause problems?”
“Well, sometimes remnants of the Demon Lord’s army attack, but we’ve been driving them back. Don’t worry about it.”
Laughing loudly, Ike left the tent. But his words only increased their unease, making Garm and the others more aware of how dangerous this place really was.

In the Kingdom of Britend, King Ramses gazed out of his chamber window.
In the same room, General Johann stood with a serious expression.
Ramses turned away from the window, sat on a chair, and addressed Johann, who stood at attention before him.
“So, what’s the situation?”
Johann answered with a grim look.
“Yes, the main force of the Demon Lord’s army is advancing towards Port Gran, and the damage is severe. However, the Allied Army has managed to push them back, and for now, the situation is balanced.”
“Hmm. Our country is also providing support, correct?”
“Yes, we have received words of gratitude from the King of Port Gran.”
“That country has many great generals. I believe they will be fine, but…”
Ramses let out a sigh and stopped speaking. Right now, Port Gran was not his biggest concern.
“And what about that other matter?”
“Yes. We have received reports that demons are gathering in the northern mountains. We are working to confirm it. If it’s true, we should contact our allies and seek help from the Allied Army, but…”
“In this situation, reinforcements will be difficult.”
Johann remained silent. If demons were gathering, their target was undoubtedly the Kingdom of Britend. However, the Allied Army was tied down in Port Gran.
Johann clenched his teeth in frustration. Without a clear plan, the situation was steadily worsening.

Three days had passed since Garm and his group arrived in Port Gran.
The battle with the Demon Lord’s army remained intense, and every day, large numbers of wounded were brought into the tents.
As the sun began to set, a chilly wind blew through the camp. While patrolling the area, Garm frowned at the increasing number of injured soldiers.
“We’re not fighting directly, but… the tension is intense.”
“I don’t think the Demon Lord’s army will reach here, but it does feel like we’re slowly losing ground.”
Van, who was patrolling with him, shared the same unease. At that moment, a commotion erupted from a nearby tent.
“What’s going on?” Garm wondered. He and Van went to check and saw about a dozen soldiers being carried in, groaning in pain.
Their injuries were clearly different from the ones they had seen before.
The soldiers’ bodies were covered in black bruises, and they writhed and thrashed in agony. The disturbing sight made Garm and Van frown.
“Bring them all in!”
The one shouting orders was Sophia. She directed the soldiers carrying the stretchers, arranging the patients in a row.
She removed their clothing to examine their conditions.
Since they would only get in the way, Garm and Van couldn’t enter the tent. They could only watch from outside.
“What happened!? What kind of wounds are these!?”
Kaus, who had rushed in from another tent, questioned the soldiers who had brought them.
“We don’t know the details… but several demons appeared.”
“Demons!?”
Kaus’ face tensed. Normal monsters usually inflicted cuts or poison, but demons often used troublesome magic.
“Sophia! What’s their condition!?”
Sophia, who had been silently examining the patients, finally looked up.
“I believe… this is a curse.”
“A curse…”
Kaus held his breath at her words. If that was true, treating them would be extremely difficult.
Among the monks in the facility, only one high-ranking monk was capable of lifting curses.
With more than ten patients, there was no way to treat them all.
“Most of them won’t survive.”
Curse magic had an extremely high fatality rate. As Kaus looked ready to give up, Sophia, who had been staring intently at the patients, suddenly spoke.
“…I’ll do it. I will break the curse!”
