“Oh… right. Now that you mention it, that’s what started all of this, wasn’t it? I got so caught up in crafting this spell that I completely forgot,” I admitted with a small laugh.

“…Lord Ark?” Marina gave me a pointed look, her gaze sharp with disapproval.

“Well, we can’t do anything without first understanding how strong the dragon is. How about we head out and test the waters?” I suggested.

“That’s true. After all, we’re already some of the most skilled individuals in the world. It might go better than expected,” she agreed.

“Alright, then. Once I’ve finished developing this spell, we’ll go into battle.”

“Understood. Let’s do that,” Marina said with a nod, a soft smile spreading across her face.
