The Genius and Calamity of the Villainous Noble: A Brilliant Prodigy Unaware of Their Reincarnation as the Game's Antagonist Defies the Scenario and Dominates with Talent and Hard Work - Chapter 1.22
A refreshing breeze gently swayed the trees, producing a calming, melodious rhythm.
“Tweet-tweet.”
As if to complement the natural harmony, a small bird perched lightly on my outstretched arm, its cheerful chirping echoing toward the sky. Marina and I stood amidst the vibrant forest, surrounded by an orchestra of animals, insects, and plants blending into nature’s symphony.
“Hm-hm-hmm,” I hummed contentedly, stroking the bird’s tiny feet as we continued walking through the forest.
“What a cute bird,” Marina commented warmly.
“Yeah, it really is,” I replied, nodding. Then, I stretched out my arm, allowing the bird to take flight. It soared upward with ease, its wings spreading wide as it vanished into the sky.
“Alright… maybe it’s time we finally dealt with that Chaos Dragon,” I said, breaking the peaceful silence.
“…Finally!?” Marina exclaimed, her voice tinged with a mix of excitement and disbelief.
“Yeah, sorry for making you wait three whole days… but I think we’re ready now,” I admitted with a sheepish smile.
We had arrived in this forest three days ago after hearing reports of the Chaos Dragon’s appearance. Yet, instead of jumping into action, we’d spent the past three days camping out here at my insistence, waiting for the right moment.
“Do you already know where the Chaos Dragon is?” Marina asked curiously.
“Of course. Time-space magic is my specialty, remember? My detection skills are second to none. I already know exactly where it is—it’s even within visible range.”
“Visible range? Â Where?” Â Marina asked, tilting her head in confusion as she anxiously scanned the surroundings.
“Over there,” I said, pointing straight ahead—though my finger happened to be aimed directly at her.
“Wait… me!?” she cried, startled.
“No, no, not you. Look behind you,” I said, stifling a laugh.
Following my direction, Marina turned to look behind her. Her eyes widened as she took in the sight of a colossal mountain looming in the distance.
“That mountain… you’re telling me that’s the Chaos Dragon?”
“Exactly,” I confirmed casually.
“…What?”
Marina stared at the towering mountain, her mouth agape, utterly stunned by the revelation.
“Here we go!”
Without waiting for her response, I summoned a massive spear from my alternate space and launched it straight toward the mountain with tremendous force.
