The Genius and Calamity of the Villainous Noble: A Brilliant Prodigy Unaware of Their Reincarnation as the Game's Antagonist Defies the Scenario and Dominates with Talent and Hard Work - Chapter 2.18
The subjects we three so-called “ordinary commoners” had chosen to study were quite similar.
In the end, I decided to take six courses: Military Strategy, Geopolitics, Agricultural Studies, Chivalry, Martial Arts, and Magical Martial Arts.
Eletoria took the same six courses as I did, while Susia, instead of Agricultural Studies, opted for Service Studies.
I hadn’t known this before, but apparently, students were only allowed to take up to six courses.
“Ughhh, the level of these classes is way too high… This is brutal…”
By lunchtime, after four grueling lessons, Susia slumped forward, looking completely crushed by the academy’s rigorous standards.
“Good work.”
As I enjoyed the lunch Maria and I had prepared together, I casually offered her some words of comfort.
“Yeah.”
Eletoria, also eating her lunch, nodded in agreement.
“Ugh… You two seem totally fine, though. Why?! How?!”
“There wasn’t really anything difficult.”
“Yeah.”
The classes we attended were, as expected from the Empire’s prestigious academy, of exceptionally high quality.
They taught specialized knowledge beyond what I had previously studied.
The first-period Geopolitics class, for instance, covered topics I had already dabbled in, but I could tell that as the lessons progressed, even I would find the information useful.
That said, I am a genius, so the lessons were a breeze.
And, for some reason, Eletoria also seemed to have no trouble keeping up.
“You two are monsters… This is ridiculous! Why am I the only one struggling?!”
“If you don’t understand something, I can help you. Well… anything except Service Studies.”
“Same here. I can tutor you in anything but Service Studies.”
“Why are you both excluding Service Studies?! That’s literally the course commoners should be taking! I mean, Service Studies!!”
“Well… I don’t really see myself doing any service work for others.”
“Me neither.”
“What?! Not taking Service Studies means you’re not commoners! What are you guys, part of some underground organization?!”
“Well… You’re not entirely wrong?”
“Huh!?”
“I’m just an ordinary commoner, though?”
“Eletoria calling herself ‘ordinary’ just doesn’t sit right with me. There’s no way someone with your abilities is normal.”
“It’s just because I come from a different country.”
“Oh… That makes sense.”
The world was full of different systems and hierarchies.
It wasn’t impossible for a commoner from another country to be exceptionally skilled.
Still, if Eletoria held an important position in another nation, it was strange that she wasn’t receiving any special treatment here.
“Ugh… I thought we were all just regular commoners, but you two are so not normal.”
Susia let out a dissatisfied sigh as she looked at us—her two supposedly “ordinary” classmates who were anything but.
“…Alto, are you really part of an underground organization?”
“Ah. I did say you weren’t entirely wrong, but it’s more like I’ve just been involved in that world a little. I can confidently say that, no, I’m not actually part of one.”
