The Goddess Granted Me the [Hatching] Skill and Somehow I Became the Strongest Tamer, Commanding Mythical and Divine Beasts - 139.2
Chapter 139.2: Epilogue
A few days had passed since the Charlotte kidnapping incident.
An emergency meeting was underway in the royal castle of Stesia.
The topic of the meeting was that Negrei from the Tamer Guild had been colluding with another country, and the mastermind was a nation two countries away from Stesia.
“Shouldn’t we first lodge a formal protest?”
“More than that, we should press harder on the punishment for the traitor.”
It wasn’t feasible to start a war with a country in between, and the other side kept playing innocent. That alone gave everyone a headache, but then unrelated nobles started making a fuss at the perfect opportunity.
“So, as the Tamer Guild, we’re reflecting on this incident, and we’ll make sure nothing like it happens again…”
Douglas, the victim whose own grandson had been taken, had no choice but to face the blame, since Negrei, a guild executive, had been an accomplice.
The one small mercy was that Negrei was still alive and that Klaus had been the one to stop him.
“More importantly, how long does the Tamer Guild plan to keep hogging that nation’s adventurer to itself?”
“He saved the country again this time. If he has such outstanding skills, we should have him work more for the nation’s benefit.”
But the more Klaus demonstrated his excellence, the louder the voices around him grew.
“Quiet down.”
King Kings IV silenced everyone.
“As for him, preparations are already underway to bestow honors. If you want him to do something, wait until he’s a noble and ask him yourself.”
Once they were both nobles, the right to negotiate directly would come into play.
There were also social connections among nobles, so many thought that if they could just get along well, it might work out.
(If Klaus’s information came out on top of all this, who knows what would happen.)
King Kings IV and the other guardians didn’t know the full details since Klaus himself hadn’t stated them outright, but explaining who Klaus really was would leave everyone speechless with their mouths hanging open.
Thinking about that made King Kings IV’s head ache even more.

“Melissa, over here, over here!”
“Hang on, Lucia!”
Cheerful voices echoed as Lucia grabbed Melissa’s hand and ran off.
Purple followed behind them, with Rock dangling from him and being carried along.
“Really, those two. Could you at least help out a little?”
“Well, with you and Lorraine here, we’ll manage somehow.”
Lorraine and Celia were brewing tea for everyone while watching the pair with wry smiles.
“Still, it’s great that it’s such nice weather.”
The autumn leaves caught the eye, and the lakeside sparkled in the sunlight.
This was the same spot where she’d gone fishing with Ritz before.
“Is it really okay for me to be here too?”
While everyone else enjoyed themselves, Charlotte checked in a timid way.
Koku, Riko, and Squarl were playing happily.
“Of course. I planned this whole thing today to introduce you to some friends.”
She hadn’t mingled much with outsiders before, so they’d set this up to help her make peers her own age.
“That’s right. I’ve wanted to thank you so many times for being so kind to my brother.”
“I interact with nobles including Melissa, but I’ve always wanted to get to know you too, Lady Charlotte.”
With the two welcoming her, Charlotte joined the conversation.
As the three of them sipped tea and chatted happily, he nodded in satisfaction…
“Klaus, hurry up and catch some fish.”
Carol urged him to fish, probably after talking with Ritz, since she wanted gorbasa.
“Pii pii!”
Feni was chirping beside him, clearly wanting that fish too.
Neige lounged on his knee in total peace.
“Man, everyone around me is such a noisy bunch…”
As he eyed the rod tip with no action, he muttered,
“I never imagined I’d end up as a tamer who commands divine beasts and mythical creatures.”

In a dimly lit room, a single girl pored over books.
She was Louise, the second imperial princess of the Yggdra Empire.
Known as a genius unlike any in the empire’s history, she now worked under orders from the emperor to complete a certain magical device.
She’d never had much interest in governing the country or vying for the throne to begin with, and the quiet girl simply wanted to live her days in peace.
Once she fulfilled the emperor’s command, he had promised she could live freely, so she threw herself into inventing the device. But one crucial part was still missing no matter what.
A high-purity catalyst—an S-rank item at that.
The stack of books around her told the story of her efforts so far, but she still hadn’t found a single lead.
On a whim, the books toppled and rained down on her head.
Normally, anyone would let out a scream, but she rarely ever spoke up, so even then, she didn’t cry out.
Louise pushed the books aside and emerged. The page that happened to be open showed a document about a treasury that stored relics of an ancient civilization.
“…I found it.”
With this, she could complete the magical device.
Louise clutched the document tight and left the room.
