The Goddess Granted Me the [Hatching] Skill and Somehow I Became the Strongest Tamer, Commanding Mythical and Divine Beasts - 61
Chapter 61: Breakfast with My Sister
The sound of a knife hitting the cutting board and the delicious aroma filled the air.
As I drifted in a nostalgic rhythm, I heard the door open.
“Brother, breakfast is ready.”
My shoulder was shaken, and I woke up.
“Huh… is it already that time?”
In front of me stood Celia, wearing an apron over her uniform.
I drowsily remembered that she had moved into the mansion the other day.
“I’ll go to the dining room right away.”
“Yes, I’ll be waiting for you.”
When I told her I’d change first, Celia gave me a bright smile.
(Speaking of which, the distance to school has gotten longer, so she must be waking up earlier.)
I realized the reason for her earlier wake-up time.
After changing, I went to the dining room, where two servings of breakfast were prepared on the table.
“Let’s eat.”
“Yes, enjoy.”
As we ate together, I felt a strange sense of discomfort, even though it was a normal daily routine… yet it somehow felt oddly right.
Was it because Celia, who used to sit next to me when we lived in our family home, was now sitting across from me? Or was it because we had lived apart for a while, and it felt unreal to have her at breakfast again after so long?
“Yeah, it’s delicious.”
The meal consisted of a soup made with seasoned vegetables, freshly baked bread, and a salad.
These were all dishes we ate daily when we lived at home, and the familiar taste felt comforting.
“I’m glad you like it. I learned how to make it from Mom.”
While our parents stayed at the mansion, Celia often talked to Mom, and she must have learned cooking from her.
“While Mom’s away, I’ve been told to manage your health, so I’ll be cooking every day from now on.”
Celia said this with determination and informed me of her plans.
“Don’t overdo it, okay?”
I reminded her. After all, I didn’t have her live with me as a housekeeper. She came to the royal capital to study, so her studies should always come first. Her grades shouldn’t drop.
I had already emphasized this point before we started living together.
“This is also kind of a hobby of mine, so I’m fine with it.”
“Huh? You really like cooking that much?”
When we lived at home, I often saw her helping Mom, but I didn’t remember her being that enthusiastic about cooking.
“No, that’s not it. My hobby is taking care of you, Brother.”
She answered my question with a smile.
“Ah…”
Now that made sense. Celia had always wanted to take care of me.
Cleaning my room, choosing my clothes…
I had always thought it was a bit excessive, but hearing her say it was her hobby made it all make sense.
“Well, I’m off to school now.”
After finishing her meal and cleaning up the dishes, Celia took off her apron and headed for school.
“Then I’ll leave with you.”
“Okay, understood.”
Since I had business at the Tamer Guild today, it worked out perfectly to leave with her.
I got ready and left the mansion with her.
