The Goddess Granted Me the [Hatching] Skill and Somehow I Became the Strongest Tamer, Commanding Mythical and Divine Beasts - 68
Chapter 68: Visiting the Alchemist Guild (Part 4)
“Here you go, this is tea made from the petals of Golden Roses, which our guild has successfully mass-produced.”
“Thank you. The faint sweetness and bitterness wash over my mouth, making it feel refreshing.”
When we arrived at the café and sat around the round table, the tea set was brought to us.
I was impressed that the Alchemist Guild’s café offered such stylish tea.
“If you feel better, please feel free to try some sweets. All the ingredients are produced by the Alchemist Guild.”
“Well, I guess I’ll try some…”
Celia still looked like she wasn’t feeling well, but the small bite-sized sweets on the three-tiered tray all looked delicious, so I was curious about their taste.
“They’re really sweet, but there’s a refined flavor to them.”
When I put the cake in my mouth, it had a soft texture with a buttery taste. The sweetness of honey spread throughout my mouth, leaving a lingering aftertaste.
I wasn’t very fond of sweet foods, but I felt confident I could eat as much of this as I wanted.
“Thank you. This cake contains Golden Rose honey. You can also brew it in tea, and we’re currently working on mass production, so I’m happy to hear you like it.”
“That’s amazing… The Golden Rose, a C-rank item. Right now, only some of the upper-class people can taste it. If it’s mass-produced… it will really expand the variety of sweets!”
Celia suddenly became talkative and stared intently at the sweets in front of her.
“If you’d like, I can pack some for you to take home.”
Lorraine smiled and offered to Celia.
“Th-That would be too much…”
Celia waved her hands in a flustered way, looking embarrassed.
“Don’t worry about it. We give them to investors who visit the facility as well.”
“People like that come here?”
I was surprised to hear that nobles and merchants came to visit.
“Yes, research requires funding. We give tours of the facility, and if they understand the potential of our research, they invest in it. My family is also an investor, which is why, even as a student, I’m allowed to come and go from the guild like this.”
Lorraine took a cup and elegantly sipped her tea.
She was clearly invited to the Alchemist Guild because of her skill, but I appreciated how she didn’t flaunt it and remained humble.
“Now, if Celia has recovered, I’d like to move on to the next building. There are still many more research areas I’d like you to see.”
