The Goddess Granted Me the [Hatching] Skill and Somehow I Became the Strongest Tamer, Commanding Mythical and Divine Beasts - 81
Chapter 81: Red Dragon—Scarlet
Amidst the murmurs of the crowd, two figures descended from the back of the Red Dragon.
One of them was Douglas de Boyle, the head of the Boyle family and the current master of the Red Dragon.
“It’s been a while, Klaus.”
“Yes… it’s been a while.”
Although I had sent an invitation explaining the purpose of the event, I never expected him to bring the Red Dragon.
“May I introduce her?”
His calm voice carried a sense of pressure, and I swallowed hard.
“This is Scarlet, the Red Dragon that lives with us.”
Scarlet turned her golden eyes toward me.
“Thank you for your kind words.”
I then introduced the three creatures around me.
“This is Feni, the Phoenix, Purple, the Rainbow Butterfly, and Rock, the Petite Golem.”
Pipipip…

… (scared)
The three of them were quieter than usual, probably due to the Red Dragon right in front of them.
Other guests were also silent, clearly taken aback by the sudden appearance of a dragon.
It was clear that the main topic of conversation at this party would revolve around the Red Dragon.
At that moment, Douglas gently nudged the person standing next to him.
“Shall I introduce her?”
“Oh… yes.”
The woman, dressed in a gown, moved with grace, bringing her right hand to her chest before bowing elegantly and stating her name.
“I’m Charlotte, Douglas’ granddaughter.”
“Nice to meet you, I’m Klaus.”
I extended my hand for a handshake. The sensation of her hand made me raise an eyebrow.
“Nice to meet you, Klaus-sama. It’s an honor to meet you.”
She spoke gracefully without a hint of discomfort.
“Charlotte is attending the Tamer’s school. She currently has four familiars,” Douglas explained.
“There’s a Tamer school?” I asked.
“Yes, it’s the only one in the world, located in this country. Though there aren’t many students, it’s an excellent school,” he replied.
The school had children who had tamed monsters. Many of the students came from noble or wealthy families who were positive about familiars.
“Still, four familiars at her age is impressive…” I said.
Normally, taming monsters requires caring for them from birth, which is a lot of work. How much effort must it take for someone her age to manage four?
“Oh, no. I can’t compare to Klaus-sama’s achievements,” Charlotte said, smiling without showing any sign of struggle.
“Spending time with familiars is precious and irreplaceable. Klaus-sama must have thought the same, which is why you organized this party, right?”
Her smile was so transparent it made me unconsciously relax my expression.
Charlotte had an aura I had never felt before, something unique about her…
“It seems you’ve made an interesting attempt,” Douglas said, his tone pleasant.
“Yes, while tamers are becoming more accepted in this country, there’s still much resistance,” I explained.
I had invited nobles and merchants from opposing factions to let them interact with familiars. The goal of this party was to encourage that.
“I thought that by having them in the same place as familiars, something might change.”
Indeed, reactions to the familiars brought by the tamers were varied, but even those who opposed tamers didn’t act aggressively toward the creatures.
“I asked you what you would accomplish, and it seems this is your answer?” Douglas asked.
“Yes, well…” I responded.
Douglas, Charlotte, and I, along with all the tamers present, all hoped for the coexistence of humans and monsters.
I kept my gaze fixed on him, and then…
“I’ll give credit to your attempt,” Douglas said, a faint smile curling on his lips.
“Thank you. Still, I never thought you’d come riding the Red Dragon.”
I had heard that the Boyle family possessed many familiars, with the Red Dragon being the family’s symbol. It was famous for never showing itself to the public, so I hadn’t expected him to bring it.
“Scarlet insisted on coming,” Douglas said.
“Can it speak?” I asked, unsure if I should be discussing this in public.
I looked at him closely.
“It speaks telepathically, but only to those it trusts,” Charlotte explained.
Scarlet, after observing me, opened her golden eyes.
“It seems Scarlet is also interested in your familiars,” she added.
“Is that so? Well, I’ll let the three of them interact with her.”
Pipipip?
…??
… (tilts head)
…
As the three of them approached Scarlet, she snorted and lowered her head to the ground.
Once they realized she meant no harm, Feni and Purple climbed onto her head and started pecking her.
“Hey, stop that!”
“It’s fine. If they really don’t like it, I won’t let them touch her,” Douglas said.
Watching the interaction between a divine beast and a mythical beast was a sight rare in the world, but Douglas didn’t seem overly interested.
“I haven’t been to a party in a while. Maybe it’s time for me to do some work,” Douglas said.
“Work?” I asked, tilting my head.
“Since you’ve drawn out the anti-tamer factions, I think it’s a good opportunity to try to bring them over to our side.”
After straightening his outfit, Douglas joined the party’s main group.
Having him as an ally was very reassuring.
I had thought Charlotte would join him, but she remained beside me.
After watching the four familiars for a while, she spoke.
“Klaus-sama, may I have a moment to talk? As a fellow tamer, I’m quite interested…”
I agreed to her request.

The cockatrices’ appearance sounds fishy because the plan wasn’t their normal habitat.
Thanks for the treat.
