The Great Sage Who Did not Remain in Legend - 40.1
“Mergin, what did you do sneaking around and enjoying your chest?”
“Well, you know, Rikka, you should try it too.”
“Try what?”
“Mergin, stand up for a moment.”
Vanessa told Mergin to stand up and carry Rikka on his back.
“W-wait, what are you planning to do?”
“Just carry her for a bit.”
Vanessa forcefully placed Rikka on Mergin’s back.
“Mergin, try doing what you did earlier.”
Mergin started jumping lightly on the spot as instructed.
“W-what? You did such a thing to me?”
“How is this considered enjoying your chest?”
“You were enjoying the sensation of our chest hitting your back when you jumped!”
Hearing this, Rikka released her grip on Mergin and covered her chest with her hands.
“W-what a lowest thing! What are you doing!”
“Rikka, it’s okay.”
“What do you mean ‘okay’?”
“I didn’t feel anything on my back. Your chastity was preserved.”
Mergin said unnecessary things.
“Kiieeeeee!”
Rikka tightened her grip on Mergin’s neck.
“What’s that about?”
“Give up, give up, I’m dying!”
Mergin was on the brink of being strangled by Rikka.
“Ah hah hah hah!”
Rose suddenly burst into laughter.
“W-what’s wrong?”
Vanessa, startled, asked Rose if she had gone crazy.
“I just thought they’re such fun companions. No, pardon me.”
“Well, I guess nobles wouldn’t do such things.”
“Ah, nobles don’t play around with those who aren’t related by blood like this. Even if they wanted to, they’re always scolded for being noble.”
“So, do nobles just stay quiet and still at home and outside?”
“Yes, especially since I have two older brothers, and as the third-born girl, I was raised like a flower or butterfly. Although now I’ve become like a man.”
Vanessa, don’t nod like that.
“But I wanted to play outside more, and rather than wearing fluttery skirts, I wanted to wear pants and run around.”
“Though you have enough to eat, does that mean there’s no freedom?”
“That’s how it feels. Also, my oldest and second oldest brothers are two years apart and don’t get along well. The second brother had a bit of a twisted way of thinking.”
“A twisted way of thinking?”
“Perhaps jealousy towards the oldest brother? It’s understood that the oldest brother is to inherit the family, right?”
“That’s right.”
Mergin agreed.
