The Next Day:
The next day, after my usual classes ended, I visited Ken-sensei’s residence.
“Oh, Yuu, you’re here.”
As I pushed open the large gate, Ken-sensei greeted me. She wore a black tank top under what seemed to be an old military uniform from her past.
On her left arm, a dragon tattoo was visible. A black strap peeked out from the side of her tank top. Sweat trickled down her collarbone, and for some reason, she looked incredibly seductive because of it.
“U-uh, yeah. Looking forward to learning from you starting today.”
Flustered by her appearance, I quickly change my gaze. The inside of the house was a very traditional Japanese-style mansion.
“I was just moving around a bit after a long time,” she said with a smirk. “Anyway, we’ll be starting our training sooner, so come on in.”
Did she notice my reaction? I’d better not dwell on it.
I followed her inside the mansion. Beside the house, there was a dojo-like structure.
Ken-sensei bowed before stepping inside. I imitated her, bowing toward the spacious dojo before entering.
“Alright, you’ve already built a decent physique. We’ll start right away—I’ll teach you the fundamentals of combat.”
Since I had never taken any of Ken-sensei’s lessons before, I honestly had no clue what to expect.
“Fundamentals? The only thing I know is a bit of pro wrestling.”
“That’s fine. Even an idiot like you can improve with my teaching skills.”
And so, my training began.Â
The Training:
Apparently, I passed the basic physical fitness test. The results of my usual exercise paid off, which made me a little happy.
The lessons covered orthodox hand-to-hand combat techniques, breathing techniques for mental focus in battle, reaction training, and close-quarters combat. I found it strange that everything was focused on close combat, but Ken-sensei told me I had a natural talent for it.
I had always assumed combat meant gunfights, but according to her, some ability users rendered firearms completely useless.
For those with extreme rejection-type abilities, bullets wouldn’t even affect them.
That’s why, for a non-ability user like me to stand a chance against ability users, I had to become an all-rounder—capable of fighting at close, mid, and long range.
I endured Ken-sensei’s training with sheer determination, pushing through every grueling session.
 Three Months Later:
Three months had passed since the first day of my training with Ken-sensei, my appearance hadn’t changed much, but my ability to anticipate actions and eliminate unnecessary movements in combat had improved significantly.
In just three months, I had even managed to land a hit on Ken-sensei a few times—something I never thought possible.
That was proof of her exceptional teaching.
With each passing day, my growing confidence solidified into certainty.
 August 4th, Early Morning:
As usual, I left my home early in the morning.
In middle school, students lived in shared dormitories, but in high school, each student was assigned a private room.
However, as an F-rank, I had no such luxury—I lived inside a shipping container on a vacant lot.
Unlike the others, who comfortably warmed themselves in their apartment rooms, I had to make do with this makeshift shelter.
Meals had to be prepared individually, with each person buying food from the nearby store.
This harsh treatment was partly due to the strict merit-based ranking system, but more than anything, they told me there were no vacant rooms left. In reality, I had simply been kicked out of my previous room.
The world was full of unfairness, and the only enjoyable moments in my life were when I indulged in my hobbies.
***
“Good morning, Tasku-nii!”
As I closed the flimsy door of my container house, a cheerful voice greeted me.
It was Yuu, the girl from the apartment next door.
She was a year younger than me, with long black hair and bright, expressive eyes.
She was around 155 cm tall. Sometimes, we ate together, sometimes we didn’t.
That was the extent of our relationship as neighbors.
“Hey! Ignoring me is just mean, Tasku-nii!”
She pouted, puffing out her cheeks in an exaggerated manner.
The reason I didn’t feel anything special towards her was simple—she was a superhuman with an ability called Super Strength, an absolute powerhouse.
Because of that, I had suffered countless misfortunes.
The worst incident? She had once torn apart my container house like it was a cardboard box.
I still remember that moment—I had dropped to my knees, completely devastated, and ended up sobbing uncontrollably.
She was a B-rank. With her monstrous strength and extraordinary combat skills, she could take down most ability users with ease.
***
“Mugyuu! Oh, your body has changed since the last time!”
Suddenly, she hugged me.
It was way too much. Normally, she maintained a quiet, graceful demeanor, but when we were alone, she acted like this—clinging and affectionate.
Not to mention, it was already August, and the heat was unbearable.
She buried her face into my chest, inhaled deeply, and then pressed her nose against my right side, sniffing around like some kind of animal.
Her body, which was well-toned but still soft, pressed against me.
Her large chest bounced slightly against my stomach.
Soft.
As she moved, the gap between the buttons of her white shirt revealed glimpses of smooth, healthy skin.
Lower down, I could see a hint of pink fabric—the lingerie supporting her chest. The white metal clasps looked like they were barely holding on, pulled stretched under the strain.
People always imagined br3asts to be soft, but in reality, they could be surprisingly firm.
Well, in her case, thanks to a decent amount of body fat, they still had some bounce.
***
“Alright, alright! Enough already! If you don’t stop, I’ll attack you in your sleep!”
Though honestly, I’d probably get my ass handed to me.
And damn, it was way too hot for this.
***
“Heh, don’t lie~ I bet you actually want me to press my b00bs against you even more, don’t you?”
Stop reading my mind.
…Actually, press them more.
***
After that, we headed to the learning hall together.
As usual, we walked down the dormitory stairs and made our way to the academy.
***
“By the way, are you joining the rank battles this year?”
“Nah, I have no intention of moving up to A-rank.”
Right, she was a B-rank.
Meanwhile, I was stuck at F-rank—our difference was like heaven and earth.
***
“Oh? Well, I’m planning to enter this year.”
“Wait, seriously?! But you don’t even have an ability!”
She dramatically recoiled, stepping all the way to the edge of the sidewalk.
Was it really that shocking?
***
“Mind your own business. After classes, I’ve been taking special lessons from Ken-sensei every day. I’m pretty confident now.”
I had never told anyone about this before, but I figured it was okay to share it with you.
***
“From Ken-sensei…?”
She glanced at my build, then nodded in understanding.
“So that’s why your physique changed… As expected of someone I recognized—you’ve got amazing determination and willpower! That’s my Tasku-nii!”
She smiled brightly at me.
It was kind of cute, but not enough to make my heart race.
“Hey, since when did I become ‘yours’? Don’t mess with me.”
“Tehepero~!”
Yuu stuck out her tongue and lightly tapped her fist against her head.
***
“By the way, isn’t it a problem for you to be walking with me like this when you have a boyfriend?”
Seriously, this girl had a boyfriend but still hung around me like this.
Shouldn’t the guy be at least a little possessive?
“It’s fine. He’s good-looking and smart, but he’s horribly dense.”
“Is that so? (Damn, what a player…)”
“Right now, I just feel like walking to school with you Tasku-nii. That’s all. What’s the problem?”
If I were dating Yuu, I’d be pissed if she acted like this with another guy.
Hell, I’d be furious.
“Look, you’re in a relationship. Don’t do anything that might betray his trust.”
“I’m not betraying him. The problem is that he doesn’t say anything even when I’m with you.”
Yuu suddenly stepped ahead of me, walking slightly in front.
I couldn’t see her face, but something about her posture made her seem… a little upset.
***
After that, we walked the rest of the way in silence.
Eventually, we arrived at the learning hall—basically, our version of a school.
***
“Alright, see you later.”
“Yup, later!”
