“Check.” Mo Chen came back to his senses, glanced at Yan with a slight frown, and replied in his mind.
“Save Yan’s sister, change the trajectory of both of their lives. Complete the mission and you’ll get a random item to redeem for a Lord God restoration.”
Mo Chen looked at the mission reward, speechless yet also a touch excited. He had no idea what the Lord God restoration redemption item would offer, but he just hoped it wasn’t a rip-off.
Then he looked at Yan, immersed in his food, a curious look flickering in his eyes. This little thing was actually a key character. The Yue Girl Sword seemed to only have a few key characters, such as Yue Girl Ah Qing. So, she must be a character from Qin’s Moon, but who could she be?
A long pause passed.
After Yan finished her meal, she happily rubbed her swollen belly, a bright smile on her face. This was the best meal she had ever had in her life.
She couldn’t remember the last time she had eaten meat. She only remembered that day, a bleak autumn breeze, when her mother returned from outside, ragged and covered in scars. She also brought back a bone with bits of meat on it.
Amidst her mother’s kind smile, Yan and her sister devoured the bone. That was the first time Yan knew what meat tasted like.
Yan thought, rubbing her belly with joy. This time, the taste was even better than the last.
“Master, can I be your slave girl?” Yan crawled to Mo Chen’s side, her face raised high, her charming eyes gleaming with desire.
“What are you thinking, little girl? With your tiny body, what can you do as a slave girl?” Mo Chen, hearing Yan’s eager request, snapped out of his reverie. He looked down at Yan with amusement and said unhappily. “
Following the master, Yan can enjoy delicious food, so she won’t have to worry about starving. Yan and mother have learned a lot, and she knows how to serve the master,” Yan said seriously.
Mo Chen was completely speechless. This was the generation gap. He truly didn’t want to continue discussing the issue of slave girls with a brat who looked no more than eleven or twelve. He waved his hand, his face tinged with deliberate disdain, saying, “You’re too dirty. Wash yourself first.”
Yan’s fiery eyes fixed on him intently. She bit her lip, saying nothing, then turned, clutching her clothes, and ran deep into the dense forest.
Mo Chen watched Yan’s petite form disappear into the dim forest. Finally, he sighed, tapped the ground with his foot, and instantly rose, landing on the branches of an ancient tree as if weightless. He treaded along the treetops, his movements silent as a breeze, in pursuit of Yan’s disappearance.
Putting aside his mission with Yan, he felt a certain sense of unease at the mere sight of a little girl running through the dense forest.
Out in the wilderness, deep in the dense forest, there were many strange creatures. It would be disastrous if this little girl encountered a wild beast and was mistaken for a midnight snack. Although he didn’t approve of Yan’s values, he didn’t want to see a little girl die miserably before him.
He’d only walked fifty feet when he heard the sound of gurgling water. Mo Chen’s heart stirred, his eyes flashing with a white light as he gazed into the dim forest. Though the sky was dim, his inner energy assisted him, allowing him to clearly see the scenery below.
Beneath the lush, ancient trees lay a stream three feet wide and only a foot deep. The water gurgled gently, creating a joyful sound. Yan stood in the shallow water, washing her delicate form.
The stars shone brightly, and after the dust had washed off her delicate body, it glowed faintly like fine white jade. Or like a beautiful jade, once dusted, radiating a dazzling brilliance.
Mo Chen stood atop the tree, watching Yan washing herself, feeling both amused and sad. If it were a peaceful time, at her age, she should be playing and flirting in front of her parents’ laps, right?
A moment later, Yan finished washing herself and ran along the road towards the bonfire. Mo Chen stood on the treetop, watching her persistent figure with a calm expression, and never spoke.
He sighed, and his figure was like a stream of light, heading towards the bonfire.
After he returned to the bonfire, in less than ten breaths, Yan’s petite body ran out of the dense forest. She ran to Mo Chen’s side, panting and staring at him, and said seriously: “Yan is clean, Master.”
The two looked at each other, and Mo Chen looked closely at Yan’s pair of enchanting, fiery eyes, which flashed with persistence in life and infinite pursuit of the future.
“It’s late, go to sleep.” Mo Chen glanced at Yan’s jade-like body and said calmly.
When Yan heard Mo Chen speak, a happy smile appeared on her delicate face. She looked at the neatly dressed Mo Chen, walked over to him, turned around, and knelt on the ground like a cute puppy, her small, round buttocks facing him. She said nervously, “Master, Yan is ready.”
Mo Chen looked at the round buttocks in front of him, a look of helplessness on his face. He slapped Yan’s not-so-perfect buttocks and said unhappily, “I don’t need your service. Go to sleep.”
Mo Chen said this, pulling her small body into his arms to prevent her from doing anything that would leave him speechless again.
Yan lay in his arms, her small hand touching her slightly sore n1pples, a hint of shyness on her delicate face. Her small hands nervously clenched Mo Chen’s soft, white robes. Feeling the peaceful warmth of his presence, her stiff body gradually softened.
A moment later, Mo Chen heard Yan’s breathing gradually calm down, and he sighed inwardly.
This is the world of trouble!
The next day, at dawn, Mo Chen had already woken up. He looked at the little girl in his arms, drooling as she sucked her thumb, feeling a mixture of pity and amusement.
“Master, you’re awake.” Yan suddenly woke up after sensing some movement. She looked up at Mo Chen, her alert expression instantly vanishing as she stared at him with sleepy eyes, speaking with a touch of naiveté.
Mo Chen nodded, saying nothing. He looked at Yan’s delicate body and the two tattered pieces of cloth on the ground, his brows twitching slightly.
A quarter of an hour later, Yan was wearing a long white dress, but it was incredibly large on her, very disproportionate, and even a little ugly.
Although a little uncomfortable due to the large size of the dress, Yan still looked incredibly happy. She clutched the hem of her dress tightly, her large eyes narrowed into two crescents, her face filled with happiness. She had never worn such smooth fabric before; it felt like something out of a dream.
Mo Chen looked at Yan, nodded, and said nothing more. Yan’s clothing was a simple modification of his own robe, so it naturally looked a bit awkward on her. While he could have used the power of the Lord God to create a more fitted garment for her, Mo Chen didn’t want to use his limited power on such a trivial matter.
Half an hour later, Mo Chen washed and changed into a simple blue shirt. Following behind him, Yan, who was rubbing her belly with a happy expression, the two headed northeast through the jungle.
“What’s your sister’s name, and why was she captured?” Mo Chen asked calmly, walking slowly through the leaf-covered trees.
“My sister’s name is Axue. That day, someone saw my sister freezing the river, and then a group of people came and captured her. They also wanted to capture Yan, but Yan set fire to the forest, preventing them from catching her. They also said that the nobles loved these strange little girls because they tasted delicious. Yan won’t let them eat my sister. Yan will rescue her.” Yan raised her head, looking back at Mo Chen, and said with determination.
Although Yan’s words were somewhat incoherent, Mo Chen still understood what had happened. Yan’s sister, Axue, possessed the same extraordinary abilities as her, but unlike Yan, Axue could manipulate ice and snow.
However, while manipulating ice and snow, Axue was accidentally discovered and mistaken for prey. As for Yan’s so-called “eating her,” Mo Chen believed that she was being sold as a slave to a noble, not that Yan had devoured her.
For those nobles, what could be more interesting and exciting than possessing a slave girl with the power to manipulate ice and snow? Although he understood, he didn’t bother explaining it to Yan, a foodie.
What else could a little girl who sold herself for food have to say?
“You said your sister was captured for six days. Did they tell you where they were taking her?” Mo Chen asked, his face grim.
“They said they were taking my sister to Yingdu, where many nobles have been visiting lately,” Yan said, a look of bewilderment on her face. She had no idea where Yingdu was, or what a noble was.
But she knew that the nobles were definitely not good people, because they liked to eat strange little girls. Yan didn’t want his sister to be eaten, Yan wanted to save his sister.
“Six days, Yingdu.” Mo Chen frowned when he heard this.
This place is only four hundred miles away from Yingdu, and with Yan’s speed, six days can’t go far. In this case, those who captured Axue should have arrived in Yingdu. If it is true as Yan said, they want to sell Axue, then they may have already started to act now.
Mo Chen is now more interested in Axue who can control ice and snow. Of course, he can’t watch her being sold, otherwise it will be a hassle to get her back later.
He is not afraid of trouble, but he doesn’t want to cause trouble for himself.
