The Male Lead's Harem Belongs to Me (GL) - Chapter 29
The autumn wind was crisp, and the red sun hung high.
Jiang Han and the others played for nearly an hour. In the end, Gu Hanyun won with an overwhelming advantage. Jiang Han really didn’t expect that Gu Hanyun wasn’t very good at card games, but her luck was surprisingly good when playing this game, so good that Jiang Han thought she was cheating.
Jiang Han took a breath and leaned against Chang Qianjiao beside her, saying, “Jiaojiao, I’m so hungry. Get me something to eat.”
Chang Qianjiao looked at the person leaning on her shoulder and quickly glanced at Qi Ze’s expression. Seeing that he was looking at them, she nervously pushed Jiang Han a little, signaling her to be careful. The prince was here.
Jiang Han was tired from playing and just wanted to rest, so she held onto Chang Qianjiao’s arm tightly. Chang Qianjiao sighed helplessly and was about to get something when a slender hand reached out in front of Jiang Han.
Liu Shuwei calmly took a box of snacks and handed it to Jiang Han, “Princess, eat.”
When Jiang Han saw the snacks, she immediately let go and took them, smiling, “Thank you, Weiwei. How did you know I love these flavors?”
Liu Shuwei saw that she had let go, her gaze softening a little, and replied, “I noticed you ate more of these flavors when we made snacks in the past, so I remembered.”
Gu Hanyun quietly poked her head in, “Weiwei, I want to eat too.”
Liu Shuwei smiled and took out a box of peach-flavored snacks and handed it to her. Gu Hanyun was touched, “Weiwei even remembers my favorite!”
Jiang Han giggled and said proudly, “Tsk tsk, of course. Weiwei is the most meticulous.”
She didn’t sound jealous at all, which was quite normal. Liu Shuwei’s eyes flickered, glancing at Jiang Han before looking away.
Since they were already eating, Liu Shuwei simply handed out a box to everyone. As expected, Yu Weiwan and Chang Qianjiao got their favorite flavors.
Qi Ze also received a box, but he couldn’t be happy for some reason. After eating a few bites, he threw it aside and said to Jiang Han, who was eating happily, “Are they that delicious? I tried them, and they’re just average.”
Jiang Han almost choked on her snack. She looked up at Liu Shuwei’s expression, seeing her calm demeanor, and said, “Your Highness, if you don’t like them, give them to me. I like them.”
Qi Ze glanced at her and threw the box to her. The next second, Jiang Han happily caught it and said, “What a pity. Your Highness doesn’t like Weiwei’s snacks. They’re so delicious.”
Qi Ze froze. He looked up at Liu Shuwei, who smiled gently at him and lowered her eyes, “It’s because my skills are poor, I couldn’t make Your Highness like them.”
Qi Ze: “…I didn’t…”
Qi Ze couldn’t explain himself and could only glare at Jiang Han, blaming her for not saying it sooner.
Qi Ze glanced at everyone and got up, “I’ll take you horseback riding later. I’ll go check the horses first. Stay here.”
Qi Ze got up and walked away. When he reached the stables, he first made an excuse to send the stable hands away, then walked straight to a horse and gently stroked it.
The horse felt its owner’s touch and rubbed his hand. Qi Ze lowered his eyes and hesitated for a moment when he reached for the feed. Finally, a light flashed in his eyes, and he took the feed and put it to the horse’s mouth.
••••
Qi Ze rode one horse and had the stable hands bring five more. He jumped off his horse and walked to the group who were relaxing, saying, “Get up.”
Jiang Han was the first to get up. The original owner, as the daughter of a general’s family, had naturally ridden horses as a child. Jiang Han, even though she had transmigrated, had learned some equestrian skills in her original world, so she stood up with great interest.
The other concubines stood up one after another. Gu Hanyun seemed eager to learn, but the others, unlike Jiang Han, had never ridden horses and weren’t as enthusiastic about it.
Qi Ze watched Jiang Han walk to the stable hands and ask, “Which of these horses is the gentlest?”
The stable hand pulled out a white horse, “Princess, this white horse is the gentlest here. It’s very friendly.”
Jiang Han tentatively reached out, and the horse leaned in.
Jiang Han smiled and patted its head, turning to the others, “Sisters, who wants this gentlest horse?”
Qi Ze looked at them, his hands behind his back clenching involuntarily.
The four of them shook their heads and deferred to each other. Finally, Chang Qianjiao stepped forward, “Let’s give this one to Weiwei. Weiwei is weaker than us, so she can ride it more safely.”
“I think so too,” Jiang Han agreed and turned to Qi Ze, “Your Highness, we can choose our own horses, right?”
Qi Ze saw that the horse was given to Liu Shuwei as he expected, and he breathed a sigh of relief, “Yes, choose for yourselves.”
He walked towards Liu Shuwei, “Weiwei, is this your first time riding? Shall I teach you?”
Liu Shuwei lowered her head slightly, not speaking. Then Jiang Han suddenly appeared between them, “Your Highness, let me do it. I’ve learned this since I was little, and I’m a woman, so it’s more appropriate for me to teach Weiwei.”
Qi Ze didn’t move, glancing at Jiang Han and sneering, “If the horse goes crazy, can your amateur skills stop it?”
Jiang Han said, “That’s why we chose the gentlest horse. Your Highness, you’re a man. Although Weiwei and you are in love, she’s still an unmarried woman, so let me do it.”
The phrase “in love” made Qi Ze feel a little better. But he thought of the feed, and just as he was about to refuse, Liu Shuwei curtsied, “Your Highness, let the princess teach me.”
Qi Ze frowned, still reluctant to agree. Liu Shuwei continued, “Your Highness, don’t worry. I trust the princess.”
Since Liu Shuwei had said so, Qi Ze would seem suspicious if he still disagreed.
Qi Ze reluctantly moved his lips, “Alright.” He would just watch carefully.
Liu Shuwei got on the horse, and Jiang Han carefully led it. Qi Ze couldn’t always watch them. He had so many concubines to take care of. If he didn’t go, he would be criticized.
Calculating the time, it shouldn’t have happened yet, so Qi Ze went to teach the others.
Jiang Han was carefully leading the horse while telling Liu Shuwei the precautions. She was eager to ride with Liu Shuwei, but it wasn’t fun to just teach from below.
After asking Liu Shuwei’s opinion, Jiang Han stepped on the stirrup and got on the horse, hugging Liu Shuwei from behind while holding the reins.
They were close together, and Liu Shuwei could feel the woman’s back pressed tightly against her, making her stiffen. Jiang Han thought she was nervous and whispered, “Don’t be afraid. I’m here.”
Liu Shuwei slowly relaxed, tucking a stray strand of hair behind her ear, and softly said, “Okay.” Then she heard Jiang Han chuckle in her ear, “Are you ready?”
Liu Shuwei gripped the reins tightly, feeling inexplicably nervous.
Jiang Han kicked the horse’s belly and pulled the reins, laughing loudly, “Giddy up! Let’s go!”
With a neigh, the white horse kicked its front hooves and ran. Jiang Han held Liu Shuwei’s hand tightly, feeling the wind whistling in her ears, feeling very happy.
She kicked the horse’s belly again and shouted, “Giddy up!” The horse sped up again. The wind chased them, messing up their hair. The afternoon sun shone on the swaying grass, reflecting their joyful shadows.
Qi Ze, watching from behind, felt his eyelids twitch. He ignored Gu Hanyun on the horse and chased after them.
Liu Shuwei’s heart was beating fast, whether from the speed or the cheerful laughter in her ear. She felt she had never been as happy as she was today.
Jiang Han, seeing Liu Shuwei’s rapid breathing, leaned close to her ear and said, “Weiwei, be bolder. Open your arms and embrace the wind.”
Perhaps because of the horse’s bumps, Liu Shuwei felt the warm lips brush against her sensitive earlobe. Liu Shuwei, with her heart pounding, suddenly turned her head.
Jiang Han didn’t have time to avoid her, her lips brushing her cheek, then her lips, lightly tickling her.
Liu Shuwei said, “What did you say? I didn’t hear clearly.”
Jiang Han didn’t mind the sudden accident and smiled, “I said, be bolder…”
Before she could finish her sentence, an “accident” suddenly occurred.
The horse, which had been running smoothly, suddenly went wild, twisting and turning frantically, trying to throw them off. Liu Shuwei screamed in surprise. Jiang Han immediately tightened the reins, saying, “Weiwei, grab my arm and don’t let go!”
The horse was still jumping wildly, twisting and turning like it had gone mad. Jiang Han tried to control the horse to calm it down, but even though she was almost breaking the reins, the horse wouldn’t listen.
Qi Ze watched from a distance, his pupils trembling. He spurred his horse to go faster, hoping to reach them sooner, but it was too far. By the time he was almost there, he saw Liu Shuwei and Jiang Han being thrown off.
Jiang Han held Liu Shuwei tightly in the air, thinking, *This is it. We’re going to heaven.*
The next second, the sudden feeling of weightlessness made them fall quickly. Jiang Han gritted her teeth, holding Liu Shuwei, and placed herself under Liu Shuwei, hitting the ground hard.
Sharp pain spread from her back, but that wasn’t the end of it. The crazed horse, seeing them thrown off, raised its hooves high and stomped towards them.
A huge shadow loomed over them. Jiang Han’s eyes trembled, and she instinctively tried to get up to shield Liu Shuwei, but to her surprise, Liu Shuwei moved faster, throwing herself on top of her.
The huge hooves were right in front of them. If Liu Shuwei took a hit like that, she would definitely die. In that brief moment, Jiang Han’s hands moved faster than her brain. She hugged Liu Shuwei tightly and rolled to the side with all her strength.
Time seemed to freeze. Liu Shuwei lay on the ground, with Jiang Han on top of her. The crazed horse’s hooves landed heavily.
“Thump.”
The dull thud, accompanied by the wind caused by the force, landed heavily next to her ear, just a hair’s breadth from her head.
The next second, Qi Ze finally arrived, pulling out a dagger hidden in his boot and plunging it into the horse’s body. The horse let out a long, mournful cry and collapsed beside them.
Liu Shuwei’s mind was blank until Qi Ze ran to them, looking anxious, and helped Jiang Han up, asking her, “Weiwei, are you alright?”

Jiang Han (coughing bl00d) (rolling her eyes) (half-dead): I’m the one who’s not alright.
