The Movie Queen Wants to Get Back with Her Ex - Chapter 43
Chapter 43: Temporary Mark
“I care. I have my principles, and this isn’t okay.”
Si Shao didn’t want any ambiguous or vague relationships. In her eyes, you’re either together or you’re not — she had no need for anything fake.
“Alright, alright, you’re the boss. You deal with it yourself then, I’m going to get back to work.”
“Mm.”
Cold Qing Shuang (Leng Qingshuang) actually wasn’t opposed to being with Si Shao, but her previous words were more to provoke a response from Si Shao — to get her to take initiative. But Si Shao didn’t bite.
Anyway, they were both still young. There was time.
And so, Yan Xijing kept sending flowers and lunch to Si Shao for a full week, until it became well-known throughout the company. Everyone knew someone was chasing after their boss, but no one knew that person was Yan Xijing.
Si Shao really couldn’t take it anymore and called Yan Xijing herself.
When Yan Xijing saw Si Shao calling, she answered excitedly, “Hello? Miss me already?”
“No. I just wanted to say — stop sending things to the company. You’re making it very difficult for me.”
Si Shao hadn’t wanted to be too harsh, but some things had to be said.
Yan Xijing knew Si Shao wouldn’t accept her that easily, so she wasn’t discouraged by her words. “Don’t be troubled. If you don’t like it, just throw it away. I’ll send it if I want to — whether you keep it is your choice.”
“Why do this? If you can’t handle that I left first, just think of it like you dumped me. There’s no need for both of us to suffer like this. Besides, you’re making things very awkward at work.”
Si Shao didn’t like being the center of gossip among her employees, and Yan Xijing’s public displays were drawing too much attention.
Yan Xijing wasn’t upset by her response — she simply said, “Then how about I deliver it in person every day instead?”
“Yan Xijing!”
“Don’t be mad! You have the right to reject me, but I also have the right to pursue you even after you say no, don’t I? If you don’t want lunch deliveries, then I won’t send them — how about I pick you up after work instead?”
Her filming schedule had been full recently, which was the only reason she hadn’t shown up in person before. Otherwise, there was no way she’d pursue Si Shao so passively.
Si Shao was thoroughly frustrated but couldn’t just hang up — her upbringing wouldn’t allow it. She could only continue, “I don’t need anything from you. You’re exhausting me. Right now, I just want to rest.”
“…I’m sorry.”
“You don’t need to apologize. You haven’t done anything wrong to me. Just don’t keep doing this.”
“Okay.”
Though she agreed, Yan Xijing still planned to pick her up that evening. She just didn’t want to argue more on the phone.
That night, Yan Xijing drove to Si Shao’s company and parked beside her car, waiting. Eventually, she saw Si Shao come out — with Cold Qing Shuang.
Yan Xijing frowned slightly but quickly adjusted her expression before getting out of the car. When she saw Si Shao, she flashed her brightest smile.
Si Shao’s first instinct was to run. But since they were still outside the company and she knew Yan Xijing would definitely cling to her if she did, she could only nod to Cold Qing Shuang, then walk toward Yan Xijing.
Seeing this, Yan Xijing beamed even more and ran over to open the passenger door for her.
Once Si Shao got in, Yan Xijing drove off. Her mood was great, but Si Shao’s face was completely black.
When they arrived at Si Shao’s place, Yan Xijing said, “Don’t be mad. I just happened to be free today.”
“What exactly do you want?! I already told you, I’ve forgotten everything. Even if we were good before, that’s in the past. I won’t treat you the same again — don’t you get it?”
Si Shao wanted to reject her completely — she was terrified Yan Xijing would keep pushing.
But Yan Xijing wasn’t angry. Instead, worried that Si Shao would hurt herself from being too upset, she gently took Si Shao’s hand and placed it on the back of her own neck, saying, “I understand. And because I understand, I’m not giving up.”
Si Shao felt like her hand was burning. She didn’t want to be controlled by pheromones. She tried to pull her hand away, but Yan Xijing didn’t let her. Instead, she leaned in and bit Si Shao’s lips.
Si Shao’s eyes widened. She tried to push her away.
But Yan Xijing held on tight. The car space was too cramped for Si Shao to struggle without risking hurting her — and Si Shao wasn’t willing to do that.
Indeed, Si Shao didn’t dare use force. In her eyes, Omegas were too fragile, and especially in such tight quarters, she couldn’t take that risk.
In this limited space, while kissing down Si Shao’s neck, Yan Xijing dared to go even further and tried to undo Si Shao’s pants.
Si Shao immediately grabbed her hand. “What are you doing?!”
“Helping you feel good. Don’t you like it? From your reaction, it doesn’t look like you don’t.”
Anyone being touched by a beautiful woman like Yan Xijing would be affected. Si Shao was only human — even with all her principles, she couldn’t fully control her physiological response.
“What do you think you are to me?”
“I’m your Omega. Doing this with you is only natural.”
Yan Xijing said it boldly and righteously.
Si Shao, furious, grabbed both of Yan Xijing’s hands, pulled her closer, and with the other hand, tore off the pheromone suppressant patch on the back of her neck — and bit down, hard.
“Ah…” Yan Xijing cried out in pain and instinctively tried to dodge. But once she realized it was Si Shao, she relaxed. After all, this was probably the first time Si Shao had bitten her this hard.
Recently, Si Shao couldn’t stand milky scents — but somehow, Yan Xijing’s scent was addicting. Once she bit down, she didn’t want to let go. It was so strange.
At first, Yan Xijing felt pain — but later, that faded. Temporary marking changed over time, and eventually she was left weak all over, just wanting to cling to Si Shao.
It wasn’t until Si Shao tasted a hint of bl00d that she finally released her. She felt like she had just woken up from a dream — and wanted to smash her own head in.
How could she have given Yan Xijing a temporary mark like that?
Even if it was temporary, it wasn’t something that should happen between people with their current relationship.
